Diner Reviews
  • "I made my reservation 6 weeks in advance because this was a special dinner. My son works at the Rock Yard and this was the first time that I was able to attend a concert here. We wanted to have dinner and watch the concert from the balcony of the bistro. I tried calling 4 times to confirm that we could have the balcony and never was able to speak to a manager. When we arrived the manager was nasty to us and told us to get off the balcony that it was reserved. I tried to tell her that I had made a reservation and she told us to go to the other balcony where she treated us like red-headed step children. We were told by a waitress that all three fans were broken (105 degrees) only to find from a bus boy that they worked 1 hour later"

  • "Enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Beth, our server, was very attentive despite having quite a few tables (at 5:30) on a Saturday evening. My wife's filet & accompanying asparagus was cooked perfectly and my scallops were perfectly seared, presented on a bed of rice with a delicious Asian inspired sauce. We'll be back."

  • "We were staying at Fantasy Springs for our 48th anniversary and so I went on line to reserve dinner at The Bistro, not knowing what to expect, since we've never been there. The evening turned out to be wonderful. The service was great from our server (Monica) and the food was excellent. The filet mignon I had melted in my mouth. My wife had a chicken dish which she loved except for the crab topping. She was trying it for the first time so they put on the side. That asked if it was a special occasion and because it was our anniversary, they gave us dessert on the house. Which was also delicious. When we stay here again or are in the area, we plan on dining at The Bistro again."

  • "This was our first experience dining at The Bistro, but won't be our last. We made reservations and were seated right away. Our waitress was cordial and efficient, and checked on us during the evening without being bothersome. We ordered the filet mignon and scallops. Both were delicious, but the scallops were some of if not the best we've ever had. I would recommend The Bistro for any occasion. You won't be disappointed."

  • "My wife and I had our anniversary dinner at the Bistro in Fantasy Springs Casino. It was a great way to start our evening. From the greeting at the host desk to the service at the table and the food was very good. Even walking out the chefs said good bye to us. You are able to see them and the kitchen over a high counter just off the dining room floor. Nothing to hide."

  • "This is a casino restaurant...Nothing innovative and really average fare with just about everything containing some form of bacon. After three visits as a convenience to attending a concert after, I'll try to dine elsewhere."

  • "Dining at a local casino doesn't usually excite me but I was pleasantly surprised at the whole experience we had at The Bistro. The hostess gave us a warm welcome and we were seated after a short wait. Our waiter was warm and efficient. My friend and I each ordered something different and we both were very pleased with our meals. Because we had tickets to the show in the Event Center, we had to leave before we could eat our desserts which the waiter graciously and quickly packaged up so we could take them home. I will definitely return to The Bistro and have already sung their praises to other friends."

  • "Well prepared quality meats, and seafood. Dynamic changing menu, but they make things for you that you have had in the past. Great service. Reasonable prices for a gourmet place. Some great wines that you can't get anywhere else."

  • "We went to celebrate my birthday and my and my sister's dinner was completely overdone. Our other guest's meal was just ok. We ordered the langostinos to start and they were small and overcooked. Wedge salads had too much blue cheese main course was overcooked and dry. Our server however was excellent! She was very nice and apologetic."

  • "Wonderful stay for our 54th wedding anniversary. Great meal at Bistros as usual. Wayne Newton Show was a bit disappointment. Too many jokies, too many past expierences on a big screen, too much back up singers. He is just getting over the hill. We left at intermission."

  • "This was my 4th time to your restaurant, each time my wife and I have been very happy with both the service and our entrees. It was the perfect way to celebrate my 60th birthday, thank- you!"

  • "We've been twice in the past month. The first time just the two of us. He had the VEAL CHOP PARMESAN. I had the BRAISED BONELESS BEEF SHORT RIBS. Both dishes were terrific, the short ribs to die for! The second time he started with the VINE RIPE TOMATO WITH BUFFALO MOZZARELLA and said it was the best he'd ever had. Then he thoroughly enjoyed KOBE BEEF MEATLOAF. I started with the SWEET PEA BORSETTI and was completely delighted with it. Truly a sumptuous dish. My main was the CHICKEN AND CRAB FONTINA. It was good, but nothing I'd rave over. Staff, on both occasions, were friendly, courteous and professional. Prices are VERY reasonable. Decent wine list. Creative, yummy cocktails. Delish desserts. Will definitely go back."

  • "Went here before a concert at the Casino and both of our entrees came out "luke-warm". I mentioned this to the waiter and did point out that we saw the entrees sitting on the "warming" area for at least 5-10 minutes! He did /not know what to do! He mentioned he would warm them up! NOT!!!!!!!! He seemed lost as to how to respond. Not a lot of choice when going to an event at the Casino due to where the Casino is located. Go else where!"

  • "The restaurant was literally empty, but we were sat next to a group of eight including several small children ( doesn't make for a romantic evening ). The manager kindly moved us. Our server was too busy attending to the large group to check on us, refill our beverages, see how our food was. The Sushi we ordered was delicious, the tempura was just OK, the tomato mozerella salad was the best dish and they graciously split it in the kitchen. We eat at the lower end restaurant in the casino POM frequently and the food and service there is always good and consistent. I don't think we'll return to the Bistro, its good, but we find better value downstairs at POM or at the Chinese restaurant."

  • "We were seated upon arrival drinks were served with artichoke appetizer (over priced for what you got) dinner was ordered Dinner took what seemed a long time to get and food was so so Filet was supposed to be rare and was almost well done we didn't want to wait another 1/2 hour to have them re-do it, the fish was also over done on a good note the cauliflower side dish was amazing . Offer was made to get us an appetizer but no mention to take anything off the bill. It was an ok experience but for the $ we will go elsewhere."

  • "This was our 3rd trip to the Palm Springs area for the holidays and we have had our Christmas Day dinner at the Bistro each year. The food is exceptional and the wine list extensive. We have had the same server each year and she makes this restaurant experience outstanding. Although located in a casino, you can park in the parking garage and by pass the casino."

  • "We have eaten here before and are always impressed with the food and service; however Friday night we almost didn't stay. The greeter took us to a tiny table in an out of the way alcove. We said that wouldn't work and that we wanted to be in the main dining room. She said nothing was available although tables were open. We went to the manager explaining that we made our reservation in November and why would we be seated in the alcove. She was not helpful or even pleasant. We chose to sit at the bar for our dinner and I'm glad we did. The food was great and our bartender was delightful. We'd go back but will always require the main dining room, and avoid the Manager IF she's still there."

  • "We were most impressed with the staff on New Years Eve. They all had a wonderful attitude. We were able to get a drink and wait by the fire. We were delayed as our table did not vacate too quickly but the Hostess kept us informed. We had a wonderful dinner that was very tasty. We will definitely come back soon. All in all and really great experience.."

  • "One of my favorite restaurants. However, they have removed one of my favorite items off the menu, namely, spring rolls. I decided to try the sushi platter, but found it lacking, also the "low sodium" soy sauce was extremely salty. The waitress tried to remedy the problem by bringing other dipping sauces, and the mirin sauce was successful. will still be faithful to this restaurant, but do miss my favorite dish.."

  • "We waited a long time for a drink and even longer for our meal which I saw the waitress carry around to another table and back to the kitchen before delivering it to me luke warm. Not as long as the 2 couples adjacent to us who waited even longer and then were advised meat loaf takes an extra amount of time? Quality of drinks and food very good..no place to go with any time frame in mind."

  • "The Bistro at Fantasy Springs Casino has always been one of my faves in the desert. My experience was a bit of a disappointment. They have made some changes to their menu and have taken off a few of what I considered their signature dishes. Lobster bisque, double cut pork chops, creme brûlée, to name a few. I ordered one of my favorite dishes there, the short ribs. The portions were very generous and the meat was lean., however, the meat was a tad dry. The sauce didn't seem as tasty. One of my friends that dines there with me often, ordered the salmon and agreed the food was good, but not great. Her husband ordered the special of the night, Veal, and was very happy with his selection."
