  • Private Party Facilities: Our smaller more private sun room accommodates up to 15 and is ideal for book clubs, meetings and presentations. Our larger sun room holds up to 30 and has the perfect backdrop for summer dinners overlooking Mount Evans and the Marshdale Valley. Our dining room can cater up to 60 with the sounds of a crackling fireplace in the background.

  • "I am so lucky to live so close to this restaurant. It truly is my favorite anywhere. The staff is friendly and personable, the prices are great and the food is always beyond par. We NEVER leave unsatisfied. I could do just as well paying big $$$ somewhere else.... but why would I want to do that when we have this beautiful, historical, and authentic dining opportunity here? I'd take ANY company here, be it the Queen or my itty bitty nephews. My husband and I always choose The Bistro for our holiday and romantic getaway dinners. Always."

  • "My husband and I went for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time. I had the mussels and mahi mahi, which were both fantastic. My husband had the brussel sprouts salad, which was amazing. He had the duck, but didn't like it too much. I think that was more because he didn't like duck as much as he thought, however. He had the tiramasu and I had the cheesecake for dessert. Both were lovely. The Bistro accommodated my request to sit by the fireplace because it was our anniversary. They also had rose petals on the table and gave us a little gift at the end. Very lovely experience. We'll definitely be going back. Happy to find another lovely, romantic, special occasion place in our hometown Evergreen!"

  • "We took friends from Texas to The Bistro at Marshdale this weekend. Your amazing restaurant is THE place we take our out-of-state friends and guests to impress them and show them a great Colorado restaurant. We drove there from Highway 285 and Turkey Creek road, and saw elk and deer and buffalo. We drove back through the quaint historic town of Evergreen. Your fireplace was roaring and cozy. We started with the Buffalo meatballs--always delicious."

  • "I went here with my beau to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. The food was lovely- my favorite part being the espresso creme brulee. My man really liked his kangaroo slider appetizer. The mains were good, but nothing special. The staff asked when I booked, when they called to confirm, and at the restaurant if it was a special occasion and I told them all three times that it was. I guess after all that I was hoping for something special or interesting to happen, but it never did."

  • "We've lived in the area for many years and had never visited before. This years 5280 Restaurant promotion was our reason to finally visit. We weren't disappointed the food was excellent! My one question, why do so many restaurants not offer a choice of vegetable instead of assuming everybody will accept cruciferous vegetables? In this case, Broccoli. The cruciferous vegetable aside, we'll be back."

Nothing was exceptional, but everything was acceptable and we enjoyed the evening. The staff was very friendly, though one waiter was unusually loud. The food was tasty. We didn't feel rushed. If in the area, we would go back again, or recommend it to anyone else going to Evergreen."

  • "I am just a farm kid from Nebraska and not a fancy dinner but I do place more emphasis on the service than the food. I this case the food was excellent but I have a comment on the servicing. Tableside Service Standards: Ladies before gentleman. >>Food is served to the guest's left side and the beverage is served from the right side. Clearing dishes is from the guest's right side. >>Never reach across a customer's place to place food for another person at the table. When I placed the reservations and when I confirmed the reservation I mentioned that the two ladies at the table were celebrating birthdays. I was not expecting a ticker tape parade but acknowledgement would have mad the ladies giggle a little."

  • "I've known about the Bistro for years since I live nearby. Took a friend who raved about his experience. The food was perfect. Vegetables the way they ought to be cooked not as an after thought. Great service from Babbs, everything else was super. Why not 5 stars? The front steps are a bit tough and the parking lot is dirt so wearing your high heels is not advised even if you want to dress a bit for the place (not required, but have a little class and lose the jeans and tee)."

  • "The server asked us if it was a "special occasion", I said Yes, it's my birthday! That was the end of it- nothing "special". The food was so-so. Good, but not great. The server talked us into a bottle of wine, instead of 2 glasses. We failed to ask & she failed to mention that it would almost double the cost of our dinner. It was already a splurge, that put us way over budget! And the wine wasn't even that good. The speaker was behind my husband, the music was so loud he couldn't hear me or the server speaking. Not so great for conversation! All in all it was such a disappointing experience we will not go back, will not recommend The Bistro and will probably not participate in 5280 restaurant week next year. We've gone for the past 4 years"

The food was delicious - cooked just right. This building is more rustic mountain cabin and the ambiance is enhanced when the sun goes down - nice fireplace and great music."

  • "We dined at the Bistro on Valentine's Day 2014. The locale is very nice parking is a little difficult. However most small mountain towns tend to be a little difficult to park at. On Valentine's Day the menu is fixed with a price of $60.00 per person. The selections were filet mignon, quail or pasta for the main course. The quail I would not recommend as it is one very small sampling and stuffed with a sausage stuffing of some sort. We had looked over the menu prior to discovering it was a fixed menu and had our hearts set on other options. The service was good and the ambience was great. My overall opion would have been better had the menu been open."

  • "Absolutely amazing food, romantic, and amazing staff. We went for Valentine's Day dinner and the meal was one of the best we've had in a long time. The filet was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the pan seared scallops were truly the best I've ever had! I have a gluten allergy and they had lots of options and the waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly what to be careful of and took exceptional care of me. They even had gluten free bread that was really good. They had a piano player and a beautiful fireplace, so romantic. We will definitely go back!!!"

  • "On one hand, the fixed menu for V day was a bit overpriced. $60 a person without drinks. Outside of that, we loved the rustic feel of this historic building. Our server was very nice and energetic. The food looked and tasted great. We will definitely return for regular visits to sample the regular menu. Elegance in the pines."

You have to keep it up with a restaurant, and they do - their menu changes, they mix things up, have a great Sunday brunch, they celebrate their staff by closing the restaurant once a year and host a party for them, they theme their meals (crab night, prime rib, Aussie food), they know their regular clientele (us!) and it's like coming into their home! Wonderful ambience - live music - energetic, and the owners are to be so commended that they keep it going and deliver excellence. The best mountain restaurant near Denver by far - worth the trip!"

  • "Michael and I have been to The Bistro often. We adore Sarah and Brian. Last Sunday was my Mummsy's bday. The server was very nice and attentive though she never brought out the second order of raisin bread or butter (which my Mummsy loved). All the food tasted very fresh and very good and came out hot. The Salmon Benedict was heavenly as was the steak special. For Mummy's bday martini she selected a very beautifully prepared coffee martini which was very "strong on the coffee" she said. The Sunday Bloody Mary's were very tasty and a huge hit for $6 each. The ambiance was nice and quiet. We sat near the fireplace and it was very cozy."
