Our dinner entrees for the restaurant week were superb. We chose the salmon and the night's special of sea scallops and mashed potatoes. One of the best dinners I have ever had. Server was friendly, helpful, efficient and added to our experience. The Bistro has never disappointed.

Took our elderly neighbor to dinner 9/13. There was a large party in the dining room & very noisy. We wish we'd been given a heads up about that. The service was slow (? due to how busy the restaurant was), the food was mediocre and luke warm. Not our usual experience at the Bistro.

We love to take visiting friends to The Bistro...it never fails to reward us with an exceptional meal in an historic mountain setting, accompanied by friendly and careful service. On this occasion, the restaurant was hosting an event for 100 guests in the main dining room, yet our dinner with friends was intimate, quiet enough for conversation and everything was brought to the table in perfect timing.

Loved the duck comfit and the mousse is always good. The pork belly slider was a little disappointing as the bun was basic grocery store and dried out. Alison did an excellent job of serving me even when I unexpectedly ordered a cocktail between courses. A lovely dinner.

Having read with interest the 5280 menu of this out of the way Bistro we decided to give it atry. It was well worth the 40 minute drive. The atmosphere is very rustic but the food and service are anything but. It started with the beet salad which was excellent and particularly pleased my wife because they cut off the stems of the spinach, a step most restaurants omit. My wife said the salmon preparation was one of the best she has ever had. My smoked short ribs were fall off the bone delicious. In fact everything about the meal was exceptional. We have definitely added it to our must return list.

We have been in the area for about a year and The Bistro in Marshdale is one of our favorite spots. While the food is "fine dining" the atmosphere and dress are strictly Colorado casual. This is not to say it isn't run professionally. The owners and staff are very friendly and do everything they can to be sure one has a great experience! You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful drive to get there. Great food. Fabulous service. And it was a great thing when we moved to the porch because I thought my brains were going to be rattled loose by the jarring noise level of the main room. NOT your romantic date night spot. Maybe some plants or sound absorbing materials in the room?

We went with our friends for Restaurant week, they'd been before and recommended it, and I thought the menu looked great! To start we ordered a bottle of wine that we knew was rated 90 points, but of course they didn't have that vintage on the list anymore… turns out the one they had was 83 points and gave me heartburn. Rarely do I not finish my wine! The first course was fine, but my friend and I ordered the duck confit for dinner. What a disappointment!? Dry and tasteless, the worst both of us had ever had. His wife's roast beef was excellent, and my wife's ravioli was good also. Desert was fine. Service was good, but the noise level was so high we had a hard time carrying on a conversation across the table.

We have enjoyed the Bistro at Marshdale in the past few years. The wait staff were great. The food was fantastic. We found it was noisy and sometimes hard to talk to each other, but we had a great corner table and enjoyed the experience. The chocolates for our Anniversary were wonderful. We will be back.

My husband and I took his parents to The Bistro on Saturday night. We made reservations so we were provided with a nice, private table in the corner. The ambience was nice, especially with the live piano in the background. However, it was overly warm in the area we were seated, which was a little distracting, but overall, the ambience was very nice. Our service was impeccable. Our server knew the menu well, and you could tell she was passionate about the items she was describing. They had a great wine list, and the food was excellent. It's white table cloth and pretty pricey so I would recommend it for a special occasion or a date night. My husband and I live in the area so we will be back!

My wife and I went for our anniversary. We had a wonderful meal and great service. We had read reviews about being on the pricey side and there are a couple of items that are very expensive. Overall we found the pricing very similar to other restaurants in the area with better food than most. When I am going to pay that much for a meal I want to KNOW I will have good food and you can be assured you will have great food here.

We've been here a few times for special occassions and just for fun. The food is always incredible, well presented with great service and friendly staff. On this night though, we didn't feel especially welcome. Things went great until an hour into our meal. We brought a guest from out of town because we love the restaurant so much, but halfway through our meal, they started removing chairs and tables for the following day's cleaners and we ended up being the only people and furniture in the restaurant. It killed the wonderful ambiance, we ate as quickly as we could & left. What a pity, because their desserts are awesome.

We had a wonderful experience. It was our 26th Anniversary and it was a romantic place to be with a wonderful view while we were dinning. The only thing we could suggest is that after two hours of sitting (which was not a problem) the chairs got a little hard on our bottoms. Other then that......great experience and we will return.

My son and daughter-in-law had their rehearsal dinner here in 2001. We had returned a few times since, but not for several years. We have now moved about five miles away from The Bistro and felt it would be fun to revisit it with all our kids for my birthday. After mentioning this to neighbors, we were warned that it had changed hands and was expensive. We went anyway and couldn't have been happier. The food was great, the ambience as we remembered and the prices were not unreasonable. In fact, several of us got a 3 course fixed price meal (appetizer, entrée and dessert) for under $30.00 with several options in each category. We will certainly be going back!

The food was absolutely wonderful and delicious. It was a fun location, a destination coming from Denver. Beautiful surroundings and beautiful drive up - we took Turkey Creek. The hostest was friendly but our waiter was terrible. He forgot to bring everything we asked; he was slow; he wasn't friendly; he didn't come back to ask how our food was; he didn't bring bread; he never smiled. Had it not been for him, it would have been a perfect experience. We'll go back, but I'm certainly hoping we get a different waiter!

We have been going here for years. First time we were a little shocked by the bill. The special entree was $45.00, which for buffalo, mashed potatoes and veggies seemed very high. They should list the price of the specials. Never had an issue with price before. We are used to fine dining prices. I usually order the fish, but noticed it was $36.00 which also seemed very high for halibut. Will likely go less often if prices stay that high.

Just outside Evergreen, CO the Bistro was perfect for our first anniversary dinner. We rented a cabin in Evergreen and enjoyed the small mountain town and the beautiful surrounding area. The Bistro was an unexpected gem near such a small town. The food was incredible as was the price. My wife and I got the 3-course dinner. Every part of it was delicious, especially the duck I got.
