The waitress stayed on top of everything and the appetizer and entre' were brought out in a timely fashion. The calamari, the fried oysters and saute' scallops were delicious. Like all beach towns there's a variety of fast food, fried good and places that promise great fish. The Bistro at Just Baked is the exception. Fish, beef, all is excellent. Though neighborhood comfortable, it's big city cuisine. It's a must stop for us everytime we visit the area.

The menu offered many choices of steaks and seafood, but as a Texan, we get steaks all the time. I had the scallops and shrimp, my wife the mahi and shrimp. Both were excellent. The bar had a wonderful bourbon selection, my wife had their "Coastal Cosmo", and we enjoyed the friendly bartender, as well as the entire staff. This place is by far the BEST restaurant in Topsail and could hold it's own against any great restaurant in your home town. Bartender Kate is super friendly and attentive. Great craft beer selection and high end liquors as well. Service staff is ALWAYS friendly, knowledgeable and smiling. And the food, spectacular!! Given tradition we wanted to find good food,good wine and a great atmosphere ,just like the day i proposed . Im pleased to say the bistro did an amazing job. The people were upstanding and very respectable. I think one of the more rare occurrences happened when my wife and i were sitting waiting for our table in the lounge area near the window when the bar tender came over and personally offered us drinks.The bistro is a dynamic and relaxing place to eat and drink , the quality and personalized service is unmatched in the surrounding area. This is great when you want local seafood. Even those in our group who do not like seafood had their choice of food and loved it. This store front doesn't look like much but when you step inside you will find a great atmosphere and even better food. The specials are wonderful and the menu items are great too. Lots of dishes that offer a fresh spin on familiar favorites. There are specialty drinks and an extensive wine list. Local and seasonal beers are featured. Definitely recommend reservations during the prime times for vacationers. Lots of options, including fresh seasonal items. If your on a tight budget, the entrees are mid range ($20-30 each) but the amount and quality of the food is well worth it. The food is fresh, the menu is just the right size, and the chef does an outstanding job laying interesting tastes to each menu item (I think we have tasted them all!). The service is always spot on, and the hostesses are very warm and attentive.

The homemade chiips were delicious as always and two of us could not finish them all. Our son ordered the Greek Burger and Burbon but all of us enjoyed the tasting. We had to wait a bit for our 7:00 reservation but there was a pleasant place to sit so we enjoyed the time with family. Nicely decorated, professional staff and great food. I had the Cinco de Mayo special, a trio of beef, tuna and shrimp. It was very good. SO had oysters. I also had a trio of tequila shots that erased the bad taste I always remembered with cheap tequila. This was very good. All in all a great experience.
