Some notable menu items well worth a taste and out of the norm. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection so I will be back. I don't know if they were busier than expected or short-staffed but service was slower than I am used to. Wine list is good but overly expensive. Prices and portions for the food are normal for a restaurant of this quality. I did like the fact that you can hear a conversation at your table and there is not the normal din of too many restaurants these days.

My only complaint is the wine list. When we first went to Bistro Alex last year they had a much more affordable wine list. Now, it is stupid expensive!!!! I'm not sure why they changed it but I liked the old list a lot better. We did not order a bottle of wine like we always do because we couldn't find anything we liked that we could afford!

We enjoyed our evening: The food was very good. The service was attentive, but not instrusive and was well-paced. I was particularly pleased that the restaurant wasn't so noisy that I had to shout across the table. Would have liked to see a few more selections on the wine-by-the-glass list, but what we had was good. Will return for breakfast and lunch.

This was another date night with my bride of 33 years. She could only find one item on the menu she liked; the filet. At that, it was tougher than expected but tasted well. I had the scallops and shrimp and it was fantastic. This is not a restaurant for the finiky eater (spouse). The wait staff did ok. My drink order was forgotten and my wife's drink took too long to refill. Parking was ok but the area is very congested and we had a 6:30PM reservation. Great atmosphere and loved the music. We thought Dean Martin would show up at any minute. Quiet and charming. The menus don't fit the atmosphere; paper sack basically. For $30+ per entree, have an appropriate menu not a sack.

Food was good, but service was sloppy. The wine was overpriced (about 3 1/2 to 4x markup over retail). My pet peeve - waiters who don't pour the wine evenly among those sharing it.

Loved the winter salad, both taste & presentation. The pork chop entree was creative, delicious, and the savory bread pudding was divine. The flatbreads were nice combinations and cooked perfectly. Can't wait to try brunch!

Food and service very good. A very Nice place. Will go back. Love round tables! And we had 6 in our party so the round table was so nice! But not a fan of the waiter adding 20% tip on our bill just because we have 6 in our party! The only negative!

It took forever to get our food and I had to ask the waiter to check on it -- 2 salads! There was a large group but they came in after we ordered. It wasn't that crowded but the waiter never explained the delay -- which clearly was in the kitchen. There are also are not very many healthy items on the menu. Beautiful place but challenging parking unless you know where you're going.

I must say that I was pretty dissappointed with the experience. It took us almost an hour to get seated, another 30 minutes to order another 35-40 minutes to receive our food the spinich was way tooo salty another 30 minutes to get our check. And they promised me a birthday portion piece of cake for my husbands 50th birthday, which he never got, the wait staff was very unfriendly. The evening was not a memorable 50th celebration at all. I was ashamed that I put the evening events together and nothing went right. The band that was playing in the Mona Lisa was horrible

In an effort to be different, the style of menus plus the wording were both awkward. Also, why not the traditional (and much easier to handle) notebook-style wine list rather than the "flip chart?" As far as service, we would have preferred our pre-dinner drinks to be just this: before dinner. As it was, our food was immediately brought before we were even half-way through our aperitifs.

Great bistro to enjoy superb food with a very good selection of wine. We had a group of four and all thoroughly enjoyed the apetizers and main dishes as well as the Pinot Noir. I had the duck appetizer and lamb chops and they were excellent. Service was friendly and accomodating. Definetely a resturant we will visit many times.

Dinner was delicious. The bread was the best I have ever had at a restaurant. It took a while to get our drinks - the appetizers came before the drinks - but our waiter realized the food came out too fast, slowed down the food order and asked us before getting the entree order going. All in all, a great dinner. We'll be back.

We made reservations and arrived on time and were seated. However, our table was not completely set. Silverware was brought to the table and then bread arrived but three of our party did not have bread plates. Several times during dinner water glasses were empty and took time to get filled. We were told we could substitute on the set menu but when the bill arrived we were told there was a three dollar up-charge per person. Also, one person did not finish her dinner and we asked for it to be boxed. Her plate was taken away and not box appeared.

While the restaurant is great inside, the menu needs some work, its nothing like what I would have expected from a Brennen restaurant, basicaly about 5 entrees and a bunch of flat bread dishes of which some are just not described right on the menu, a pre fixe dinner offered was not too exciting, Turtle soup was great as was the cheeses plate but after two attempts in the same week I would not return, place was empty each time I went and with all the other great spots in the same center I would have expected it to be busier, eventually I think they will do well if they wake up and get a real menu there

The food was superb! I chose this place because of its affiliation with Brennan's and what a choice it was. You must try the Butternut Squash soup it is to die for! Our group was amazed by the quality of service, the team effort makes it much more enjoyable because we never lacked anything. Many in our group said they would be back to try other items on the menu. The outdoor seating looked wonderful and next time we will have to try it.

The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The staff there is well trained and You'll never go without out being noticed. As of food, quality and taste are far more than the Cost. The Pork Chop is "To Die For" as the Salmon... Well lets just say I would murder women and children for that all over again... Both cooked by "Chef Recommends" The scene? How can I say this? It's not for the "to be seen" That's what Ra is for, but rather "Hip and Mature"

Went there for brunch and was so disappointed! The Brennan family would be shocked at the quality of the dishes that left the kitchen. They were out of Rye bread, the biscuit on my Eggs Benedict was stale, as was the Eng. muffin on the Salmon Benedict. The Salmon Ben. was a total disaster, even after sending it back and having them make a new one. The Salmon was sliced too thick, and it was piled on way to heavily. It made me want to wretch just to look at it! The waiter didn't take anything off on the bill either. We paid close to $70 for that!
