The Bird & The BearA great findGreat restaurant with lots of character! The food was fantastic. The eggplant was delicious, the baked red snapper a hit, and the stuffed salmon was cooked to perfection. A great find. I will definitely be back to try more!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectWe went to any early dinner on Cinco de Mayo beating the crowd. Except for one other table, the restaurant was empty, so the place was quiet and laid-back. Together with the open windows and doors allowing in the unusually cool May weather, the scene was perfect. Very enjoyable dining experience.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday BrunchWonderful brunch celebrating my birthday! The staff was very accommodating and made the occasion even more special. Loved the free-flowing champagne.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWish the food had equalledWish the food had equalled the service and ambience!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to the bird and theWe went to the bird and the Bear without having reservation, the hostess Rabi was very welcoming and helpful, she even set up the table for us (group of 8). Yummy food, thoughtful cocktails and impeccable service. Highly recommend.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster BrunchBrunch menu was nice with both breakfast and lunch items. We ordered a variety and traded bites. All selections were very good. Bacon wrapped tenderloin and corn pancakes were especially good.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our 3rd visit, ourThis was our 3rd visit, our first brunch visit. The wait staff is great - friendly and available but not overbearing. :Also appreciate how they help each other - none of that "that's not my table". The food is great and we like the menu now much more than when they first opened. Our previous dinner and lunch visits were much quieter - and thus had the feeling of being more upscale than -brunch - probably due to the increased presence of families/children at a brunch - but the noise level was appropriate - not chaotic. Had to send my husbands filet mignon back to the kitchen for more cooking - he always asks for it to be prepared medium to done (I know -I cringe)and it came back even too rare for me-but quickly returned perfectly3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Find for a Romantic DinnerIt was our first visit. Great atmosphere for a romantic dinner. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMMy first visit, but certainlyMy first visit, but certainly not my last. Big fan of Ouissie's Table - so this lived up to my expectations. Now I have to choose which one to go to. Both are fabulous! Menu exciting and well priced. Extensive wine list and wide if not large selection from the menu. Will go back for more3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMImpressed !!!My wife and I took another couple early on a Saturday evening so we could attend an event at Lakewood church. Everything was perfect or close to perfect and we had varied tastes from a colorful and tasty omelet to a full blown stuffed salmon dinner. Our service was fabulous (but it was early and not crowded). The bang for the buck (value) was outstanding and we will return. Thanks for great start to an evening in the city.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMMust Try Good Food Good ServiceWe have become regulars here at this fine restaurant where great food is always in store for the diner. Great service accompanied the great food, again, as usual. This restaurant is a "must try" in the Upper Kirby/River Oaks area of Houston.2/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFood drink & service a charmGreat food and great service. Mid-week dining is absoulutely the best for those who enjoy quiet and minimum background noise. For those wishing a unique drink before dinner, the ginger margarita is a real prize!1/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
