We were there on a Tuesday and had reserved for 7:30. The best Bavarian cuisine I have tasted. We ordered the chef's 5 course dinner and let him create what he thought was best for us. I definitely don't regret that choice. The chef is obviously talented and takes a great deal of pride in his work.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMChef's 5 Course Meal is a must!We've been to Bavarian Inn several times, but this was the first time we saw they had a Chef's 5 Course meal. It was delicious and such a fantastic deal!! $55 for the experience (and we didn't realize that included two 3oz wine and a shot of port). We've done the Chef's dinner at another restaurant for quite a bit more money and (although the food was amazing there too) we came home hungry! We honestly couldn't finish our entree we were so full.
We also lucked out on the weather that evening and sat outside on the patio, which we ended up having to ourselves for the entire meal. I can't wait for my next date night with my hubby so we can do it again!

I started off with the Carpaccio of Seared Bison and it was exquisite while others enjoyed the Bavarian Inn Salad, Maultaschen and Fishcakes Arugula Salad. The food was fantastic and it was a special treat to have Chef Josef actually bring our entrees to the table and recommend the best way to eat the extremely fresh white asparagus. The wine (Kurt Hain, Piesporter Spätlese) was also outstanding. Service was great.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA Wonderful FindWe enjoyed the beautiful drive out to Bragg Creek from SW Calgary to find at our destination this wonderful restaurant. We were welcomed outside by the happy owner who was genuine in his greeting. We ordered traditional and authentic German food, and the rest of the menu also looked excellent with seasonal inspiration. As we ate deer walked past the window and they were near the parking lot grazing as we left. Our server was attentive and polite, letting us relax with our delicious meal, but being available with a glance. All of the food that passed our table going to other customers made me want to come back, very soon. There was a dessert that looked amazing too!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
