  • "We enjoyed the best soup Saturday night at The Artichoke !! Each night Tuesday through Saturday a yummy soup is prepared. Saturday it was a creamy broccoli pepper jack !! Everyone in the restaurant was raving about it!! Fresh veggies from the garden were added to our salads! What a treat that local veggies and farm fresh eggs and grass fed beef ( for those who aren't veggie like me) are sold on Saturdays at The Artichoke at The Market along with pottery, jewelry, honey, goat soap, etc !! For the veggie people like me there are plenty of choices as well. The chef is a jewel!! The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is lively!! Each of us enjoyed delicious entrees! Desert should never be skipped!!"

We all agreed that everything from wine to dessert was delicious and that we would make The Artichoke a part of all of our visits to the lake. Additionally, our server was knowledgable, prompt and very personable."

  • "It's always a treat going to The Artichoke for dinner! Our group had crab stuffed pasta, crab stuffed shrimp, crab cakes and steak. Everything was beautifully plated and delicious. We also had the brocoli cheese soup which was puréed with carrots and onions. Very tasty! We shared the warm chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Its was amazing! The service was very friendly and we will definitely be back. "

  • "I went to The Artichoke with three close friends for my birthday. The owners and staff were all pleasant and friendly, we felt comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. The ambiance is an old country home done with style. The food is fabulous! Every item we had, from their homemade cheese spread, which arrived as soon as we were settled, to the divine chocolate cake with ice cream and topped with a candle, was absolutely delicious. I savored every bite I took and will remember this birthday with a smile for many years to come."

  • "We have been going to the Artichoke for several years and it has become our 'go to' restaurant when we are at the lake. The Artichoke atmosphere is relaxed, yet subtly elegant and the menu is varied. We enjoy the salads, crab cakes and the salmon. They also serve steaks and chicken. As far as we are concerned, it is the best restaurant on the lake."

  • "Once again, another great dinner at The Artichoke. The special was a chicken enchilada pasta, and was quite tasty, and not overly spicy. Very good. The steak soup is still the best I've had anywhere. The Artichoke is a regular stop for us - usually once a month, or once every two months. Highly recommended !"

  • "This was a fantastic place to go on a Valentines date. Wonderful service! My only complaint is the tables are so close that the people next to us can hear our conversations. After we were there for awhile a large group came in and it got really loud. Overall we love to eat here and have told many friends about it."

  • "Another great dinner at The Artichoke. This trip, my friend and I both had the pasta special - lasagna. Quite good. Not too much, and definitely not greasy like some places make it. Not overly cheesy either. Great flavor. My friend had the soup of the day - French Onion. Quite good I was told I had the Steak Soup - a menu favorite, and great flavor, as always."

  • "We discovered the Artichoke this past fall and just love it. This was our third trip. It's about a 50 minute drive from our cabin, but worth it. We have tried something different each time and have not been disappointed."

  • "My brother and wife came in from NY to visit my parents at Grand Lake and we thought we would do something special. I've never been before and we were very happy with the decision. We walked in the door, and with our reservation were led right to our table, and had constant and consistent service throughout the evening. Between the 6 of us we had shrimp, steak, pasta and chicken, salad, steak soup (to die for), and all very good. House reds were very nice as well and we couldn't get enough of the little crackers on the table (literally). A bit pricey, but I think well worth the experience. Dress code - You could wear a head to toe sequin outfit or jeans and nice shirt and feel very comfortable either way. Very enjoyable evening."
