I hadn't made a reservation until I checked to see if TAB was open and happily they were and I was able to get a table for 2 as they opened. The food was great, the servers were quick and friendly. Too sinewy. We thought the steak knives were too dull, but it wasn't the knives. We took our med. & rare steaks home, pounded them, sprinkled with meat tenderizer in the a.m. & at night reheated in the microwave. They weren't much better. Still had a hard time chewing,had to leave alot of fibers on the side of the plate. You do expect prime rib to be of a better quality then what we had received. Your meat vendor did you in on this order. Our waiter was at the table within minutes of our seating. His service was excellent and his recommendations were "right-on". There was a Sun's game this evening, and the crowd was noisy. This is not a restaurant for intimate dining,however,if high noise levels are OK, this is a great place.The food is excellent,the service is excellent,and the cocktails are liberal. We all(4)had the recommended Prime Rib, and it was one of the best cuts I've had recently. This is advertised at 12oz, however, it seemed closer to 16oz. They don't skimp on the portions. If you go, be sure to try the house potatoes, and the pretzel/cheese appetizer. It was fun to watch the people milling around the area since there was a sporting event getting ready to start. The food is very good (try the pate...it was to die for). I ate the filet with creamed spinach and potatoes. It was cooked perfectly. My sister had the special of the night, prime rib. It was huge! Try the carmel pudding, the zuccini fritters, it's all so good. Absolutley FANTASTIC! From the drinks, to the food, (the Seabass and the filet were cooked perfectly) to the service...YES this is my new favorite restaurant! The pretzels and cheese fondue were wonderful and the prime rib was cooked just right. We were there on a Saturday night when other events were going on downtown so parking was hard to find but The restaurant will validate parking for you. My only complaint was that I had to use the light from my phone to read my menu and sign my receipt. There were other tables that I saw doing the same thing. I don't mind low lighting but a little more would have been helpful.2/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch @ Arrogant ButcherWe had an absolutely great meal at the Arrogant Butcher and can't wait to return. The weather was terrible but we snagged an indoor window seat and had a ball. Our server, Kalene was delightful, funny and friendly. She was full of great suggestions. Food was very good, especially the Jambalaya and the Cheese Burger. As an appetizer the cheese and charcuterie plate was excellent. Cocktails were very unique and strong. Atmosphere was fairly bright and cheery (considering it was pouring rain outside) and we enjoyed the experience tremendously. Lots of fun and good food.1/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
