The pretzel roll on the pastrami is delicious and the chicken breast was thick and juicy. Switched out the fries on these meals for the soup du jour, tomato soup, and enjoyed it immensely. The food was excellent - I highly recommend the crab stuffed chicken. This is not a place to go if you have limited time as the courses were slow to come out. The only real "complaint" that I had was the close proximity of other diners. I felt like I was also sitting with the table to my right as the bench seating was shared for all tables along the wall. All in all though, this was a good dining experience with a casual atmosphere. We all(4)had the recommended Prime Rib, and it was one of the best cuts I've had recently. This is advertised at 12oz, however, it seemed closer to 16oz. They don't skimp on the portions. If you go, be sure to try the house potatoes, and the pretzel/cheese appetizer. It was fun to watch the people milling around the area since there was a sporting event getting ready to start. The food is very good (try the pate...it was to die for). I ate the filet with creamed spinach and potatoes. It was cooked perfectly. My sister had the special of the night, prime rib. It was huge! Try the carmel pudding, the zuccini fritters, it's all so good. Absolutley FANTASTIC! From the drinks, to the food, (the Seabass and the filet were cooked perfectly) to the service...YES this is my new favorite restaurant! The pretzels and cheese fondue were wonderful and the prime rib was cooked just right. We were there on a Saturday night when other events were going on downtown so parking was hard to find but The restaurant will validate parking for you. My only complaint was that I had to use the light from my phone to read my menu and sign my receipt. There were other tables that I saw doing the same thing. I don't mind low lighting but a little more would have been helpful.2/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch @ Arrogant ButcherWe had an absolutely great meal at the Arrogant Butcher and can't wait to return. The weather was terrible but we snagged an indoor window seat and had a ball. Our server, Kalene was delightful, funny and friendly. She was full of great suggestions. Food was very good, especially the Jambalaya and the Cheese Burger. As an appetizer the cheese and charcuterie plate was excellent. Cocktails were very unique and strong. Atmosphere was fairly bright and cheery (considering it was pouring rain outside) and we enjoyed the experience tremendously. Lots of fun and good food.1/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
