  • "Amazing renovation that transformed a sleepy little inn into a foodie and beer lovers treasure trove. Great service on top of the great food and excellent vibe. Highly recommend it."

  • "This was a sad dining experience for my husbands 30th birthday. I mentioned the occasion on my open table reservation as well as directly to the waitress when we arrived. When they brought dessert they didn't so much as put a candle in it or say happy birthday, let alone that my husband had to send it back because it was gritty and runny. The appetizers were awful, including something billed as Mac & cheese with bacon that was really penne with a liquid cheese sauce and bread crumbs sprinkled (not even baked or broiled!) on top. Entrees were mediocre and overpriced. Service was slow and inattentive. Save the trouble and skip this place!"

  • "The ambiance is not very "beachy" I felt like I was in a log cabin in the woods-the furniture is very colonial-brick walls and a very open dining room--nice beer list. The food was fine-seafood platter appetizer consisted of clams, oysters some lobster meat-nothing spectacular for $55. The tuna tartare was good as was the tuna steak-again nothing spectacular. I wouldn't go back for the dining room-a beer at the bar sure!"

  • "We had a great meal with great service and timely delivery. I recommend this for families or couples wanting a more upscale beach restaurant experience."

  • "Tuna special was outstanding, and cooked perfectly ( also caught 12 hours before I ate it). Chicken skin and corn chowder apps were a big hit! I wished we would have ordered more Mac n' Cheese, everyone was taking about it the next day. The amuse Bouche of Halibut with cubed watermelon in a coconut broth was a BIG HIT....Wine on tap...yes please....Just mad we forgot to get the house cured bacon to-go."

  • "Good food, great beer, good wine by the glass, honors reservations, friendly staff. For LBI, that's a very good restaurant,"

  • "My wife is a vegetarian, they only have a few things on the menu that were so. But the kitchen was very accommodating and altered a dish to her liking. Our waiter was attentive and saw to all of our needs, even the manager came over to see how we were. I had one of the specials, a steak rubbed in a coffee rub and something was cooked in duck fat. I can't recall anything else, because my mouth started salivating. My expectations were met and my meal was AMAZING!!!"

  • "My husband and I visited The Arlington for our Anniversary dinner. It was a Monday evening, and when we arrived at 6 we were seated immediately. Drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts were all a treat for the eyes and the palate. The corn chowder, short rib, Night Boat Scallops, halibut ceviche and salted caramel budino were stand outs. I appreciated our server taking the time to describe the entrees in detail when I was having trouble deciding what to order. I was also impressed by the fact that they cure their own meats. Our food was all served quickly, perhaps due to the fact that it was a weeknight and on the early side of the dinner hour. We confidently recommend The Arlington for a delicious dining experience."

  • "We should have been warned when our waitress told us not to order the paella as they had yet to "master" it in the kitchen. However we stayed. The shoestring was super salty and overly Carmelites. My husbands steak which was supposed to hav a lobster sauce on top tasted was thin and the sauce tasted like yogurt with hers in it. Bar is nice though. Good place for a nice glass of wine"

  • "We liked this place the first time we went. It wasn't busy. But the next night time it was a Saturday night. The noise was unbearable. The room echos everything. We ordered our dinner at 7, it came out a 8pm. I went to the hostess and complained because our waitress was way too busy with other customers. The hostess then told the waitress and the manager. We couldn't believe that the manager never came over to our table to apologize. The restaurant was understaffed and it really showed in the service. I will not recommend this place because of the noise and the lack of responsibility from the management. You need to hire a manager that will help when needed and staff appropriately and be able to communicate with their paying customers."

  • "The dinner was amazing. Food was delicious and the presentation was just amazing. Service was phenomenal and made suggestions that made our dinner special Noise level was a little high but the bar was vibrant. This is definitely a hidden get on the shore"

  • "My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience. Carolyn was a very attentive server, with excellent recommendations. You must try their pan seared scallop in a truffled lobster risotto. Their flank steak was cooked to perfection. Thank you to Chef Allen and to the whole staff of the Arlington; it was an awesome experience. I cannot wait to come back and bring family and friends!"

  • "We enjoyed a girls getaway in LBI over the long 4th of July weekend. In looking for restaurants near Ship Bottom, the search on Open Table had The Arlington there. I am so glad that I use Open Table to make choices, especially this one. We had stramed clams and oysters on the half shell to start and they were amazing. I had the paella and my sister had salmon, our friend the steak and there were no complaints - it was a quiet meal because we were enjoying the food. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating without being on top of you. A MUST for LBI dining."

  • "July 3rd is perhaps not the best time to see a restaurant shine. We had pleasant service, slow, I presume because it was busy. The short ribs I ordered and ate were delicious. Lots of families, many with children, made for a noisy evening"

  • "one of the best meals I have had ever on the Island. These guys know good food."

  • "Restaurant was half empty at 7pm during the 4th of July week. That should have been our warning. Bar service was slow. Waitress was even slower with the memory of an infant and had no idea what was on the menu. Mediocre is too kind when describing the food. The cheese board was a joke. It included two pieces of cheese that were each about the size of a quarter. The corn chowder was about as flavorful as dishwater. The main entree I had was the tuna steak which was adequate but the accompaniments were extremely small. My guests all complained that their food was poor. However, my daughter did love her chicken strips. And finally the price in no way matched the quality of the food or service"

  • "We had an excellent meal and a wonderful time at The Arlington Sunday night. The food was fresh and creative. The Grouper special with rose water was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Gnocchi appetizer and salads were perfect. Great salted caramel budino for dessert. The food can be compared to some of the better fresh food and trendy NYC restaurants, although any age group and appetite would be satisfied at The Arlington. The service is outstanding. The bar looked like a lot of fun."

  • "The first time we went here was "off-season." Sat at the bar, had a wonderful time. This 2nd time it was VERY noisy. Service was great, food was pretty good, but not worth the $$ and noise."

  • "I brought my family to the Arlington for a first visit as a new restaurant in town. We thought the ambiance was very hip and the food selections were New York style diverse. Foodies would love it. Big improvement on the Bayberry. We had gone for a brunch there and it was not good."

  • "We had a few last minute guests to make us a group of 7. We checked open table, were able to get a last minute reservation, and had a great meal. They have a great beer list and a good assortment of eats. Would definitely go back."

  • "The food was delicious. There are many of options to choose from. The crab cakes were unbelievable as well as the scallop over the lobster risotto. We will definitely be back. Very warm atmosphere with a hip vibe."

  • "The Arlington was even better than I had expected. There is a huge list of craft beers and servers are helpful in finding one that suits your taste. The market salad was the best salad I have ever had. It was much more than a salad and was extremely fresh and homemade. The pork chop was also delicious. Everything we ordered was very flavorful. Prices are comparable to other restaurants on the island but the food is of a much better quality. I live in Philly and am used to Philly quality restaurants. The Arlington was definitely on the same level as a Philadelphia restaurant. I can't wait to go back and try everything."

  • "Our waitress was amazing, her trainee was very nice. She was energetic, fun, talkative , a great girl. The food was fresh, presented well, and cooked to specification. I must admit, I wish my lobster roll was bigger....but that is my own downfall. With exception to one rather rude waitress, red hair and a crabby disposition glaring at us when we wanted to see the Belmont, and a truly rude bartender, making remarks about us to the patrons in front of him for trying to watch. Over all a great find. The hostess was sweet. The other two mentioned need a lesson in service if they are intending to deal with LBI residents!"

  • "Always enjoy The Arlington. Very consistent, good quality. Excellent craft beers and cocktails. I would hope they would add a vegan dish or two to round out the menu. "

  • "Lovely decor. Food was delicious---especially the scallop appetizer. Would recommend a more diverse Chardonnay selection by the glass. J Lohr, Toasted Head, Kendall Jackson, Newton Red Label, ie. Acoustics could be better with such a large crowd---quite noisy. Enjoyed the bar area after dinner. Will definitely return."

  • "Food was mediocre. Shrimp appetizer was the best .Had pan seared crab cakes that lacked flavor. Husband had seafood paella with dark unusually flavored rice.service was good, craft beers great it food disappointing. Ambiance is fun, energetic!"

  • "Odd menu trying to be chic but poorly executed for the most part, lobster roll was good. Servers have no knowledge about the ingredients or preparation. Request for table off to the side made when reservation was booked and it was completely ignored. Very loud."

  • "Went to the Arlington on Saturday May, 24th because I heard it had a good beer list. I brought 5 adults and 2 kids along with me. We were seated immediately and greeted promptly by our waiter. The beer list was great offering many selections with multiple styles. While there is no printed kids' menu, the restaurants does offer kids' food, simply ask the wait staff for the options. That being said, our waiter was pleasant throughout the process even though we required some special additions to our meals and had kids nagging him with questions. All the entrees came out very quickly, the food tasted amazing, and all individuals in my party were extremely happy with their meals. We will definitely be returning to the Arlington! "

  • "We have been to The Arlington several times for Happy Hour. Enjoyed the oysters and beer selections and food. We went for brunch on Mothers Day. They had a buffet . The line to get the food was long but we enjoyed the food. The croissants and pastries were buttery and flakey. Nice salad and dressing. Eggs benefit very good. Had sausage and bacon,ok French toast was crusted with pecans ,good, and they had turkey and a ham at the carving stations. Food was good, everything had a little something different and good. Wished they had a little seafood dish. Over all very good . Buffet line area not organized, could have been set up better."
