The restaurant was bustling, with a noise level that drowned out the wonderful sax player for the first half of the evening. There was a loud TV cheering section in the open bar. Server Michael was attentive, making numerous sweeps to check on us, and apologized for slow deliveries from bar and kitchen. Owner came by twice, and a tableside magician amazed. Food was excellent. Burnt corn was a nice spicy mix. Filets were good (one rarer than desired, but we decided not to send it back). Salmon and redfish were generous. The lemon custard, bourbon bread pudding and chocolate cake were hits. It was a very pleasant evening, even with the delays and the noise. The staff was very good and the food was terrific. This restaurant is a gem. The value is what keeps us coming back. Heard Dale's voice on the radio for years and finally decided to give it a try on our neighbors' recommendation. The staff was enthusiastic and by the look of most of them they were enjoying their work. The food was outstanding. One of the servers took our picture in the bar in front of the huge fireplace, then we got a shot with Dale.

The restaurant is fairly new and simply but elegantly designed. We were serenaded by a live jazz musician, and we met the man himself, Dale Wamstad, who served us his special cinnamon rolls. The food was absolutely delicious! The waiters were very attentive and my 5 year old daughter was entertained by a professional magician who went from table to table performing his feats. This was a very special day and the price was not too high for the quality of food and service. From the hostess, to the bartender, to the server, and finally meeting Mr. Wamstadt, everything was magical for us. For someone who has eaten a lot of steak in his life, the Delmonico was the most outstanding steak I have ever eaten. Warning: You may want to bring a wheel barrow with you so they can take you back to the car. We were really full, but oh so happy when we left.
