My only complaint is that the servers don't give you time to eat what's on your plate before bombarding you with more -- it can be a bit off putting. Nonetheless, we would visit again next time we are in the area."

  • "We have been to this location several times. Service was great. The flank steak and picanha(our favorites) were delicious as well as the other cuts. We had an early dinner so it was not to crowded and the meat circled the room often. The salad bar was fresh. The lobster bisque was creamy and black beans and rice were tasty. The servers are always accommodating with our kids."

Meats were good, but had to ask for cuts such as leg of lamb - othewise not seen. The desert selection was very good and a decent wine list as well"

  • "After having dined there numerous times we wanted to enjoy a late lunch for our upcoming 31st wedding anniversary. We were so disappointed this time. Upon first meeting our waiter I asked for a black napkin (which is usually offered when wearing black pants). Never received it. I ordered a bloody mary and could not drink it because it was soooo spicy. Explained to the waiter the drink was undrinkable because of the spice and his reply was "I love spicy bloody marys" and I never received an offer of a replacement or deducted from the bill. Drink left sitting on table with $8.00 being wasted. I walked out feeling very disapponted. Will not return anytime soon. My husband wanted to go to the Jefferson Hotel, I should have listened. "

  • "I went to Texas de Brazil with my boyfriend to celebrate his belated birthday. The servers and front of the house hostesses were very friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, due to dark lighting and the spacing of the tables. I could tell that the servers were trained to focus on making the guests comfortable. Our server was very helpful without coming around too much. He made sure that we were getting the foods that we liked the most. The selection of meat was pretty diverse (lamb, steak, pork, chicken) and I appreciated the salad bar (since I am not able to eat as much meat as my boyfriend). Their selection of cocktails was also very neat. Although it is pretty pricey, we will definitely be visiting again."

The salad bar was great and the meat was everything expected however, if you wanted more of something specific you may have to wait a while. Our favorite was the garlic sirloin. The Malbec special was fabulous!"

  • "This was our first visit to the Texas De Brazil so we didn't know what to expect. We were there for a late lunch and my wife and daughter just ate from the salad bar. They were impressed with the selection. Our host explained how everything worked and the servers were very tentative. Our water glasses never ran dry and my plate seldom wanted for a cut of meat. The only down side is the cost. Without tip, we spent $90.00 for lunch. This was for too salad bars and one full lunch, one iced tea and two cocktails. We do plan on returning and recommend the Texas De Brazil as a special occasion restaurant."

  • "They try very hard to create a top-notch dining experience. Everything from the high ceilings and grandiose decor to the extensive salad bar (the words "salad bar" don't do it justice) to the view-in kitchen all lull you into believing that it's worth the price of the meal. However, they fall short in one area every time: the service. All the waiters have to do is take your drink order, keep it full, and maybe clear your salad plate. Inevitably, we wind up with someone straight out of a teen comedy. Dopey (pun intended), fresh out of high school, and clearly unfamiliar with the level of service expected in such a facility. If TdB took 1% of their profits and invested it in server training, it could be the best restaurant I've ever eaten at."

  • "The food quality is very good. The meats are cooked and seasoned very well. The sides are also outstanding with a nice variety. The atmosphere is appealing to those who are looking for something more than your typical chain restaurant. However, the close proximity of the tables is not the best for a quiet romantic dinner. The experience could be better if the service comes up a notch. Specifically, the reservations were behind schedule which caused many to wait as long as 30 minutes beyond their reservation time. The server was not timely at removing dishes or refiling drinks. Overall it is worth going if you are a lover of red meat! you will not leave hungry!"

  • "Our meal started off on a bad foot when we walked in at 5:30pm for a 6pm reservation and the place was packed with people. We had hoped to spend some time hanging out at the bar prior to being seated. We ended up spending MUCH longer than expected as we weren't seated until 6:30pm. We had a group of 6, which for Texas de Brazil didn't seem to be such a big deal due to the style of restaurant. It seemed as if they must have had a shortage in the amount of meat they had prepared for the night because the meat waiters were few and far between. One of the people in my party stooped so low as to having to whistle as meat waiters to bring us food. Though it was quite embarrassing, we had to do what we had to do in order to get our money's worth."

  • "Had 6:30 reservation and had to wait. After 30 minutes went back up to ask what's going on and magically had a table ready for us. I know it was V-Day but what's the point of a reservation if you aren't going to honor it? Food was good but meats were very salty. Sodas are $3.00 in tiny bottles so no free refills. Alcohol/beer is very over priced. It was a different experience but not worth it to me. Left a bit on the disappointed side."

  • "I tend to be lenient when it comes to service- as long as people are trying, I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt. But at $45 a plate, plus exorbitant drink prices, you expect the staff to be on top of things. This was not the case. Several minute delays between refills of drinks (cokes are delivered in tiny bottles and cost $2 each), the Rum Runner was a frozen slushy drink, and every time our drinks did get refilled, there was spillage on our food and the table. We had to ask for used plates to be removed during the salad service, which turned out to be the only part of the meal that came as advertised. Meats were advertised as medium rare and came out nearly well done, the chicken was chewy and dry, and overall the meal was poor."

  • "As a nice birthday treat from my girlfriend, she treated me to a night of comedy and one of my favorite restaurants, Texas de Brazil. As expected, the meal was outstanding! We were a little late for our reservation, so we waited at the bar. Not enough room to tell you how bad the service was at the bar. In summation, the service was horrendous for an area of the restaurant presumably intended to profit from the sale of alcoholic beverages. The bartender poured us "one drink" each, and never returned. As such, his tip rightfully reflected the level of service we received. In short, the guy was nobody's host. He did however manage to close the tab without notice, and stealthily leave us the bill. Our server on the restaurant side was awesome!"

David, one of the managers, took my name, email, number, and we went on our way shopping in the mall. David, within 30 minutes, had booked me a table and I had received an email.   • "Living in Brasil for the past three years, we arrived at the restaurant and were very pleased to find a Brasileira speaking português. The food was very good, the churrasceira used actual carvão (charcoal)! THe only thing missing from the menu compared to a churrasco in Brasil was coraçãozinho (small chicken hearts which the children adore - yes, Americans, too). The sausage was very spicy compared to Brasil (although Americans like the spice). So with these two small exceptions you will not find a more authentic Brasilian churrascaria here in RIchmond, VA."

  • "The gauchos are always on-point with their service and are very eager to please by cooking the meat to the desired degree of cooking. If a customer wants a particular cut of meat again, all he has to do is ask and it comes right out. I look forward to the whole Brazillian experience every time!"
