In celebrations of my son's 26th
birthday we enjoyed Sunday lunch at Texas de Brazil. Our server was fabulous! The salad bar was great and the meat was everything expected however, if you wanted more of something specific you may have to wait a while. Our favorite was the garlic sirloin. The Malbec special was fabulous!"

The salad and side bar my wife
loved! I'm skipping the salad bar and waiting for the vast array of meat selections that come to your table I wish I had had the room to try them all!"

This was our first visit to the
Texas De Brazil so we didn't know what to expect. We were there for a late lunch and my wife and daughter just ate from the salad bar. They were impressed with the selection. Our host explained how everything worked and the servers were very tentative. Our water glasses never ran dry and my plate seldom wanted for a cut of meat. The only down side is the cost. Without tip, we spent $90.00 for lunch. This was for too salad bars and one full lunch, one iced tea and two cocktails. We do plan on returning and recommend the Texas De Brazil as a special occasion restaurant."

The meat just kept coming and it
taste GREAT. We will definitely definitely return again."

They try very hard to create a
top-notch dining experience. Everything from the high ceilings and grandiose decor to the extensive salad bar (the words "salad bar" don't do it justice) to the view-in kitchen all lull you into believing that it's worth the price of the meal. However, they fall short in one area every time: the service. All the waiters have to do is take your drink order, keep it full, and maybe clear your salad plate. Inevitably, we wind up with someone straight out of a teen comedy. Dopey (pun intended), fresh out of high school, and clearly unfamiliar with the level of service expected in such a facility. If TdB took 1% of their profits and invested it in server training, it could be the best restaurant I've ever eaten at."
Dined on 2/23/2014
The food quality is very good. The
meats are cooked and seasoned very well. The sides are also outstanding with a nice variety. The atmosphere is appealing to those who are looking for something more than your typical chain restaurant. However, the close proximity of the tables is not the best for a quiet romantic dinner. The experience could be better if the service comes up a notch. Specifically, the reservations were behind schedule which caused many to wait as long as 30 minutes beyond their reservation time. The server was not timely at removing dishes or refiling drinks. Overall it is worth going if you are a lover of red meat! you will not leave hungry!"

Our meal started off on a bad foot
when we walked in at 5:30pm for a 6pm reservation and the place was packed with people. We had hoped to spend some time hanging out at the bar prior to being seated. We ended up spending MUCH longer than expected as we weren't seated until 6:30pm. We had a group of 6, which for Texas de Brazil didn't seem to be such a big deal due to the style of restaurant. It seemed as if they must have had a shortage in the amount of meat they had prepared for the night because the meat waiters were few and far between. One of the people in my party stooped so low as to having to whistle as meat waiters to bring us food. Though it was quite embarrassing, we had to do what we had to do in order to get our money's worth."
Dined on 2/16/2014
Had 6:30 reservation and had to
wait. After 30 minutes went back up to ask what's going on and magically had a table ready for us. I know it was V-Day but what's the point of a reservation if you aren't going to honor it? Food was good but meats were very salty. Sodas are $3.00 in tiny bottles so no free refills. Alcohol/beer is very over priced. It was a different experience but not worth it to me. Left a bit on the disappointed side."
Dined on 2/14/2014
The greeting staff at the front
desk is not courteous. The reservation did not work as expected. We were waiting for 15 minutes in spite of reservation and showing up on time. Seating was too crowded. There was no room to walk to buffet. The food was not served as requested in spite 2 separate requests."
Dined on 2/7/2014
A bit pricy but quality and
selection was great. Salad bar is the best I have ever seen!"

Texas De Brazil is a man's
paradise. The unlimited prime cuts of meat is to die for. The fried bananas truly cleanse the pallette so you can savor eat cut of meat. The service is always top notch and attentive."
Dined on 12/27/2013
Texas De Brazil, is a great
alternative to a traditional steakhouse. The meats are well seasoned and cooked particularly well. The texture of the outside of the beef is crisp while the inside is tender and juicy. The side items are outstanding and well balanced."

It was everything that I've been
told. Great food, service and staff. Will return, great job ShortPump TdB!"

I tend to be lenient when it comes
to service- as long as people are trying, I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt. But at $45 a plate, plus exorbitant drink prices, you expect the staff to be on top of things. This was not the case. Several minute delays between refills of drinks (cokes are delivered in tiny bottles and cost $2 each), the Rum Runner was a frozen slushy drink, and every time our drinks did get refilled, there was spillage on our food and the table. We had to ask for used plates to be removed during the salad service, which turned out to be the only part of the meal that came as advertised. Meats were advertised as medium rare and came out nearly well done, the chicken was chewy and dry, and overall the meal was poor."

Great for a special celebration!
Amazing food, great service and a beautiful atmosphere."
Dined on 12/5/2013
we were rudely in couraged to take
our table 30 minutes early, we had found a comfortable spot at the bar and had planned to relax for a little while before dinner, when we tried to explain this to the hostess she told us we took a chance of not having a table if we did that"
Dined on 11/28/2013
As we expected a large bill, we
did not check every item before paying - our mistake. We told the waitress that we wanted two regular meals and one salad bar, but we were charged for 3 regular meals. My husband was unwilling to return to the restaurant to complain, so we overpaid - and gave a generous tip on the incorrect amount as well."

Whenever you can't find anything
new or exciting... You can always depend on Texas de Brazil to be a whole new experience every time you are there it is a different and unique experience... Love it!!!"

We chose Texas de Brazil to
celebrate our anniversay. It was wonderful, the service was spot on. They attended to our every need. The food was delicious and so was dessert. I would love to go back again."
Dined on 11/11/2013
Very nice experience. Food was
great and gave us the opportunity to try many different selections without having to order complete plate of any one meat. Salad bar was tops. Although pricey, was worth it and we will return, but with empty stomachs from now on."
Dined on 11/8/2013
I brought a co-worker who was a
bit reluctant to try new things. I convinced her there would be no scary foods. She agreed to go. Short story is that she ate and enjoyed every single thing put upon her plate. So did I. It's a wonderful experience full of delicious nuggets. A different dining experience that everyone should try!"

As a nice birthday treat from my
girlfriend, she treated me to a night of comedy and one of my favorite restaurants, Texas de Brazil. As expected, the meal was outstanding! We were a little late for our reservation, so we waited at the bar. Not enough room to tell you how bad the service was at the bar. In summation, the service was horrendous for an area of the restaurant presumably intended to profit from the sale of alcoholic beverages. The bartender poured us "one drink" each, and never returned. As such, his tip rightfully reflected the level of service we received. In short, the guy was nobody's host. He did however manage to close the tab without notice, and stealthily leave us the bill. Our server on the restaurant side was awesome!"
Dined on 10/14/2013
Ther server was spot on! We
attempted several times to reserve the table with Open Table mobile app. For so reason or another it was not working. David, one of the managers, took my name, email, number, and we went on our way shopping in the mall. David, within 30 minutes, had booked me a table and I had received an email. Thanks for going the extra mile David!"

Living in Brasil for the past
three years, we arrived at the restaurant and were very pleased to find a Brasileira speaking português. The food was very good, the churrasceira used actual carvão (charcoal)! THe only thing missing from the menu compared to a churrasco in Brasil was coraçãozinho (small chicken hearts which the children adore - yes, Americans, too). The sausage was very spicy compared to Brasil (although Americans like the spice). So with these two small exceptions you will not find a more authentic Brasilian churrascaria here in RIchmond, VA."

My husband and I have gone twice
and definitely recommend this place when you are in the mood to splurge a little more on your meal and for a delicious meat-fest! We are huge fans of Fogo de Chao and honestly, this establishment beat them. The customer service is absolutely excellent and the food is fantastic! Highly recommend this place!"
Dined on 10/26/2013
The gauchos are always on-point
with their service and are very eager to please by cooking the meat to the desired degree of cooking. If a customer wants a particular cut of meat again, all he has to do is ask and it comes right out. I look forward to the whole Brazillian experience every time!"

First time visit to Texas de
Brazil to celebrate a Birthday. Staff was pleasant -greeted promptly as we walked in. As this was our first visit, the Hostess explained how the restaurant & service worked, with the Gaucho’s bringing skewers of meats to the table. She asked if there was a special occasion. We were seated shortly after arriving. Looked over the wine menu -way overpriced but decided to try the House Merlot -bad mistake. Diner was good -the different meats we got were plentiful but often time cooked beyond the med-rare range. We had to ask for cuts that never seemed to make it to our table -and still never made it. The Lamb was the best, Mignon overcooked. Disappointed nothing was done to note my wife's birthday."
Dined on 10/16/2013
If you're a man or just like meat,
you need to eat here. Top sirloin and flank steak are my favorites, but everything is good. It's the only place where the server walks up to the table and asks if you want more filet wrapped in bacon and it makes sense to say no."
Dined on 10/16/2013
The food and the service are
impeccable. There is a selection of food where everyone can find something they will love to eat. You are paying for the choices and it is worth every penny. Join their rewards program - you won't regret it! Their is a stellar drink menu, especially if you like red wines. Sweet wine lovers, you'll be hard pressed to find something that suits your palate, but with all of the other options, it really doesn't matter."

Great place to get your monthly
meat craving, but you need to go hungry. My kids (boys 11,14,15) love it and it is our goto birthday dinner place. Salad bar is good, but this is a restaurant for meat lovers. My one piece of advice: the toughest part is waiting for the meats you want cooked to the level you want. It is hard to turn down filet medium when you know you usually like medium-rare to rare... but you don't want to fill up too fast either."
Dined on 9/29/2013
Service was absolutely
outstanding. The food was delicious. And the atmosphere was perfect."
Dined on 9/28/2013
My husband and I visit about 4
times a year. Since moving to the Short Pump location the salad area can be difficult to maneuver at times. The food is usually amazing, except when well done meat is served burned. My biggest criticism is the service. Despite having multiple servers it can still take 20 min to get a simple request (such as more bananas) if you get it at all. At our visit earlier this month service was exceptional, but after visiting again I'm afraid that was just a fluke. Something that would improve our experience significantly would be cards on the table indicating how we like our meat prepared so that we don't have to ask, "Well done?" to every gaucho with beef or lamb only to be disappointed when the meat is medium rare."
Dined on 9/27/2013
Very nice place. Lots of choices
on the salad bar but a little limited on veggies. The meat was great and there was lots of it. The constant rotation and selection of meats was very nice. The only draw back was that sometimes the meat was medium well instead or medium rare when served to my wife but medium rare when served to me off of the same skewer. The service was excelent as soon as we entered, until we left."
Dined on 9/21/2013
The Salad Area has a Tuscan feel
with an exceptional variety of quality first and second course foods you would expect of high end dinning. The managers and servers are prepared to make sure your dinning experience is enjoyable and that the different choices of meats prepared in the Southern Brazilian style of cooking are to the temperature and doneness to your liking. For the quality you receive, the price is fair but to receive an exceptional value, sign up on their website and receive a two for one dinning on your birthday."
Dined on 9/9/2013
We had a great food experience.
Seated immediately, service impeccable, and the food was very tasty and plentiful. This is now one of our favorite food spots."
Dined on 9/18/2013
I don't know if it was the 8pm
hour or that it was a Thursday night, but this was an off night for Texas de Brazil in Richmond. The secondary server (she did all the work) was very good, but the head waiter wasn't good at all. The men who bring the meat around did not frequent our table (although the ones who came were very nice, indeed).. We've had much better experiences at this restaurant, but seems that since they moved locations, the flow is just not there."
Dined on 9/13/2013
overall our experience was good.
The meat was a bit salty but it other than that everything was good."
Dined on 9/6/2013
The salad bar had a huge variety
of fresh items. The rolls are delicious and small enough that they do not keep you from sampling all of the meats. All of the beef and lamb was expertly prepared and served. One of the wait staff asked if I would like mint jelly for the lamb and brought me a good portion. The dessert tray looked inviting, but there was no room for dessert."
Dined on 9/11/2013
Had 7:00pm reservation. Restaurant
half full, still made us wait over 15 minutes before being seated. Salad plates not removed, had to go to salad bar to get our own clean plates for main course. Asked for 2nd plate of banannas, never recieved. Gaucho dropped meat into my lap (nice stain). No manager or anyone came to check on our satisfaction."
