  • "Arrived at 9:00pm, food was excellent and plentiful. The servers were always a few steps ahead of our needs. We can't wait to ho back."

  • "Texas de Brazil in Pittsburgh gave us an excellent sit-down, upscale dining experience. The variety of foods at the salad bar was excellent, and the cuts of meat were tasty. I was very impressed with the speed of service and the attentiveness to the guests by the staff and the floor manager. I recommend the parmesean pork, lamb chop, and house special picanha! I also had the triple chocolate dessert cake which was amazing! I would definitely dine there again."

  • "As a dining place, it has outstanding ambiance, service and decoration. I like it very much. However, the food, the most important factor that contributes to satisfaction in a dining place is fairly okay. For the grill, what they have is good. The problem is that only very limited options are available(6 or 7). I have had Brazilian grill that offers many more options such as grilled fish, shrimp, corn, deer stake, Chicken wings, and many other. Salad bar is very wired and I am not sure what style it is. I don't like it at all."

  • "I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday, & a recent job promotion. I can honestly say that our experience made our special occasion even better. The drinks were wonderful, the salad bar was spectacular, & all of the meats were tender and flavorful. The salad bar is out of this world! I'd say my only disappointment was that our waiter seemed very unskilled. He forgot my boyfriend's water, twice. I asked him what flavors of Mimosa's they had, & he couldn't remember. Then I gave him the birthday certificate they sent my boyfriend for his birthday, & he brought me a bill without the discount, and charged my card the undiscounted price. My card is still showing the original price, which he said will change in about a week..."

  • "Our Texas De Brazil affair started in Aruba many years ago. We have since visited Las Vegas, Richmond, Orlando and a few others, with Orlando being a location we frequent several times a year. Although each location is different in some ways, the experience and ambience are consistent and that is what we enjoy. I am pleased that the Pittsburgh location is finally open as we will be frequenting this location now. Consistently great food and service."

  • "This was our first time here, the noise was terrible, I think the acoustics are bad, could not hear our waiter or each other. The food was at best, good. Filet was way over done ( and this from someone who doesn't mind medium well!). Flank steak was awesome as was chicken. They do just keep coming at you with more meat on those skewers then you can imagine! I feel overpriced on everything, $10.50 for a glass of Riesling! It was definitely something to do once but doubt we will go back."

  • "This was my second time at Texas de Brazil and it was even better than the first. Enjoyed the wonderful items on the salad and sides bar -- lobster bisque, black beans and rice, california rolls, cheeses, etc -- but you have to be careful not to fill up before the parade of meats begins. The friendly gauchos appear with their long skewers of chicken, filet wrapped in bacon, sirloin, lamb chops, and the list goes on. All wonderful, and a great way to dine. Great Brazilian cocktails, too."

  • "The waiter insured we had plenty of meat selection brought to our table and the salad bar was well stocked with a variety of selection. However, the meat was ove seasoned with salt. We really felt the salt later which wasn't great. For the cost the product should be seasoned appropriately."

  • "I went out on a date with a friend from out of town & for the both of us, it was out first time. The scene was beyond word! Very tropical in my vision & also tranqil. The warm colors and the mirrors gave this restaurant a cozy feeling and made my date feel more intimate. Our sever was more than nice. And the food was beyond my expectations! The flavors were incredible! I wanted to go back the next day."

  • "All the servers were great and the food was AMAZING; so tender and flavorful, great selection!!! Even received a free dessert for our anniversary. Thanks for a wonderful evening out. We have beenn to several other locations, but I think this one by far was the best. Highly recommend."

  • "The food has improved recently (less rock salt on the cuts of meat), but the service is still lacking. Green Forest is still the better option."

  • "Upscale, industrial loft-style decor with elegant touches greets the diner at the Texas de Brazil-Pittsburgh Restaurant. It is located in the Station Square Complex, by the Grand Concourse The food bar had tantalizing salads and appetizers to choose from most with distinctive tastes. I liked the Bruscetta section with crostini and three different toppings. Barbecued meats on skewers were presented at our table in a dizzying array of choices. Three kinds of filet, two kinds of chicken, lamb and sausage were offered;all tasting amazing. Most of the choices were in ind. servings on the skewer so I rarely needed the tongs provided. The servers were not noticing when the red/green token was on red to signal, "Stop." Dessert was also good."

  • "Texas de Brazil is an excellent restaurant. But with excellence, comes price. So it is not a place most people can afford to go to very often. We like to go there for special occasions. Our last visit was to treat some friends who are from Wisconsin to a wonderful meal. They had never been to a Texas de Brazil before, and they were impressed---which was our goal. Our waitress was extremely efficient, professional and friendly. When ever we had a question, she was able to answer it. (Once she even went in the back to consult some other employees, and came back with our answer!) The service was great too, and the food was delicious. I have no complaints!"

  • "We decided to visit Texas de Brazil because we're celebrating our 3 year anniversary, and green forest would not seat anybody after 7:15. They also would not take reservations. Knowing that one of us had to work until 7pm, we decided to try Texas de Brazil. Needless to say, we'll likely never visit Green Forest again, since Texas de Brazil's food, service and overall hospitality blew them out of the water for a comparable price. Their cold bar was ten times better too. If Green Forest would have accepted reservations, they probably would not have lost two decade long customers."

  • "Went to TDB as a combination anniversary/birthday with my wife, so I was ok with the check being $100 for two of us, but that's dinner only, had just water to drink. A lot of fantastic meats, and it keeps coming for as long as you want it to. Make sure you do t eat all day to make it worth the effort. Space is rather loud. Waitstaff is very attentive, managers walk the floor as well. Meats are generally cooled medium rare, which makes me happy, but you can request well done as well as no salt if you're willing to wait for it to cook specifically for you. And if you especially like something just ask for more. For our budget this is at most a once-a-year treat. Would be fun with a group, but bring cash - they don't split checks."

  • "I've eaten at another local Brazilian steakhouse which was much more intimate and low-key, but Texas de Brazil is a lot of fun. The place is high-energy, with the meat servers constantly circulating and several large groups were there enjoying themselves when we came for our date. It wasn't too noisy to talk even with the groups. If you've never done a Brazilian steakhouse style dinner before, be warned- DO NOT fill up at the salad bar. The meat is the center of attention here for good reason. The fried bananas and garlic potatoes with the meat were also quite good. We'll be back for special occasions in the future. We also tried the chocolate cake and creme brûlée' for dessert- both were delicious."

  • "Service was slow for the type of restaurant. Meats were good when they did finally go by your table. Salad bar was a mess and often empty. For the price, we will go elsewhere."

  • "The food was excellent but the music was way too loud for dinner, we could bearly hear the waiter or each other. Also, we went to a romantic dinner around 8 and there were so many children screaming and running around. I suggest going later at night if you are planning something romantic with a significant other"

  • "The meat variety and quality is very good. Brazilian sides are delicious, good wines. However the salad bar is limited on fresh products, not fruits, the only option for salad was tomatoes, lettuce and heart palms. Could be better...."

  • "We had a group of 12 people, and the service was still excellent. The servers made sure we had whatever kind of meat we wanted. Everyone had a great time and the food was delicious."

  • "Let's face it -the star of the show is the meat. The bacon wrapped filet was a favorite of our group. The salad bar was well stocked with something to please every one. I felt the tables were too close together which made it difficult for the servers. Many times, the servers had to reach over guests at our table."

  • "We have been dining at this restaurant multiple times. This was the worst experience we have had! The place was not busy and they sat us behind a pole. The servers with the meat barely came around. We had to tell our waitress multiple times and the service still did not change! This was the first time a manager did not come around to ask how our service was. Of course because it was terrible!!! We will not be returning for awhile and will make sure to let everyone we know about our experience!"

  • "Our party of 8 had a really good time, great food, very nice & accommodating server Madison, she was very knowledgeable about everything. We were also able to sit before our whole party arrived which was nice. Beautiful decor, great location for walking around afterwards. The one real downfall was communication. We called ahead to ask if we were able to use multiple coupons if we had separate checks, they said yes. Once the bill came we were told, no. (Manager allowed it saying it was ok only this time) Was told Birthday desserts were complimentary. (They were on the bill, Also fixed, but then told they normally don't do that) Was told Domestic beers are part of happy hour. Sam Adams was full price (?!?) Overall, good time."

  • "I've been to the Texas de Brazil in Texas and it was way better than the one in Pittsburg! We felt very rushed by our server. This is definitely not a relaxed restaurant! They want you to rush thru the salad bar and will only give you the opportunity to go thru once before they start slamming you with meat. Why do they bother with the red and green cards? We had red cards out (no meat now) while attempting to enjoy the salad bar, but once you are about 75% thru they start coming with the meat. If you decline one because there is no room on your plate, they never come back! We had green cards up for over 15 min and no one stopped by with meat. We finally had to ask our server & they grudgingly came back. The meat was very dry."

  • "My only problem was that I didn't have enough room to try all of the delicious food choices! What a nice change on food service! The staff was friendly and helpful! The food was well prepared and presented in an inviting fashion! My wife and I will be back, often!"

  • "I enjoyed myself at Texas de Brazil, but I'd prefer to give it an overall score of fair to good. We arrived a little early for our reservation so we had a drink at the bar. The bar tender did not seem like she wanted to be there at all and the Brazilian martini was ok. It didn't have much flavorful, besides alcohol. Our waitress was very nice and obviously new, which is fine. She was really nice. She rambled everything off so quickly I couldn't understand her. The salad bar wasn't anything to write home about. The meat was very flavorful, however I only new what each meat was by look and taste. The servers who brought each meat around spoke so softly that I had no idea what they were saying. I wouldn't return."

  • "Despite having a reservation, we were not seated for ~30 minutes while walk in couples were getting tables. The hostess actively avoided making eye contact and didn't get us a table. Another hostess eventually seated us. Once seated, the food was great. The bacon wrapped filet mignon was excellent. Everything is served medium rare unless you request otherwise. Highly recommend for the food. The serving staff are very friendly."

  • "the restaurant has a unique idea, but the food is just okay - especially for the price you pay for dinner. The food reminded me of a mediocre hotel buffet. The meat was good - but some of it is just too rare and some was just fatty. As the night got busier, the service got worse. Disappointing and expensive - for 3 of us, one drink each - $178 without tip. The restaurant is pretty and is in a pretty setting at station square. It was very loud however. I won't go back."

  • "It was really good and fun. But I did feel like it was all very rushed. There was one drink menu for 7 people to look at so half of us had water only. We never got to try all the meats-the lamb never made it to our table. I would save this for a special occasion or go during the week. "
