  • "Texas de Brazil is an excellent restaurant. But with excellence, comes price. So it is not a place most people can afford to go to very often. We like to go there for special occasions. Our last visit was to treat some friends who are from Wisconsin to a wonderful meal. They had never been to a Texas de Brazil before, and they were impressed---which was our goal. Our waitress was extremely efficient, professional and friendly. When ever we had a question, she was able to answer it. (Once she even went in the back to consult some other employees, and came back with our answer!) The service was great too, and the food was delicious. I have no complaints!"

  • "We decided to visit Texas de Brazil because we're celebrating our 3 year anniversary, and green forest would not seat anybody after 7:15. They also would not take reservations. Knowing that one of us had to work until 7pm, we decided to try Texas de Brazil. Needless to say, we'll likely never visit Green Forest again, since Texas de Brazil's food, service and overall hospitality blew them out of the water for a comparable price. Their cold bar was ten times better too. If Green Forest would have accepted reservations, they probably would not have lost two decade long customers."

  • "Went to TDB as a combination anniversary/birthday with my wife, so I was ok with the check being $100 for two of us, but that's dinner only, had just water to drink. A lot of fantastic meats, and it keeps coming for as long as you want it to. Make sure you do t eat all day to make it worth the effort. Space is rather loud. Waitstaff is very attentive, managers walk the floor as well. Meats are generally cooled medium rare, which makes me happy, but you can request well done as well as no salt if you're willing to wait for it to cook specifically for you. And if you especially like something just ask for more. For our budget this is at most a once-a-year treat. Would be fun with a group, but bring cash - they don't split checks."

  • "I've eaten at another local Brazilian steakhouse which was much more intimate and low-key, but Texas de Brazil is a lot of fun. The place is high-energy, with the meat servers constantly circulating and several large groups were there enjoying themselves when we came for our date. It wasn't too noisy to talk even with the groups. If you've never done a Brazilian steakhouse style dinner before, be warned- DO NOT fill up at the salad bar. The meat is the center of attention here for good reason. The fried bananas and garlic potatoes with the meat were also quite good. We'll be back for special occasions in the future. We also tried the chocolate cake and creme brûlée' for dessert- both were delicious."

  • "We have been dining at this restaurant multiple times. This was the worst experience we have had! The place was not busy and they sat us behind a pole. The servers with the meat barely came around. We had to tell our waitress multiple times and the service still did not change! This was the first time a manager did not come around to ask how our service was. Of course because it was terrible!!! We will not be returning for awhile and will make sure to let everyone we know about our experience!"

I felt the tables were too close together which made it difficult for the servers. Many times, the servers had to reach over guests at our table."

We were also able to sit before our whole party arrived which was nice. Beautiful decor, great location for walking around afterwards. The one real downfall was communication. We called ahead to ask if we were able to use multiple coupons if we had separate checks, they said yes. Once the bill came we were told, no. (Manager allowed it saying it was ok only this time) Was told Birthday desserts were complimentary. (They were on the bill, Also fixed, but then told they normally don't do that) Was told Domestic beers are part of happy hour. Sam Adams was full price (?!?) Overall, good time."

  • "I've been to the Texas de Brazil in Texas and it was way better than the one in Pittsburg! We felt very rushed by our server. This is definitely not a relaxed restaurant! They want you to rush thru the salad bar and will only give you the opportunity to go thru once before they start slamming you with meat. Why do they bother with the red and green cards? We had red cards out (no meat now) while attempting to enjoy the salad bar, but once you are about 75% thru they start coming with the meat. If you decline one because there is no room on your plate, they never come back! We had green cards up for over 15 min and no one stopped by with meat. We finally had to ask our server & they grudgingly came back. The meat was very dry."

  • "I enjoyed myself at Texas de Brazil, but I'd prefer to give it an overall score of fair to good. We arrived a little early for our reservation so we had a drink at the bar. The bar tender did not seem like she wanted to be there at all and the Brazilian martini was ok. It didn't have much flavorful, besides alcohol. Our waitress was very nice and obviously new, which is fine. She was really nice. She rambled everything off so quickly I couldn't understand her. The salad bar wasn't anything to write home about. The meat was very flavorful, however I only new what each meat was by look and taste. The servers who brought each meat around spoke so softly that I had no idea what they were saying. I wouldn't return."

  • "Despite having a reservation, we were not seated for ~30 minutes while walk in couples were getting tables. The hostess actively avoided making eye contact and didn't get us a table. Another hostess eventually seated us. Once seated, the food was great. The bacon wrapped filet mignon was excellent. Everything is served medium rare unless you request otherwise. Highly recommend for the food. The serving staff are very friendly."

  • "the restaurant has a unique idea, but the food is just okay - especially for the price you pay for dinner. The food reminded me of a mediocre hotel buffet. The meat was good - but some of it is just too rare and some was just fatty. As the night got busier, the service got worse. Disappointing and expensive - for 3 of us, one drink each - $178 without tip. The restaurant is pretty and is in a pretty setting at station square. It was very loud however. I won't go back."

  • "First the service was excellent, but it took a number of requests to get a decent seat away from the front door even though alot of the tables were empty. The food was very good except some of the cuts of meat tended to be a bit salty. The salad bar was excellent and the Lobster Bisque was exceptional. There was plenty to choose from if you didn't want to partake in the meat carving extravaganza. Over all we we enjoyed the experience."

  • "The salad bar had an amazing spread. Not very kid friendly but my kids loved the bread. The meat selections were amazing! The servers game around frequently and we loved that the managers made their rounds asking if needed anything. When we told one that we hadn't tried the ribs, they made sure the server came by our table. It was a very busy evening, tables very close to each other, not a quiet romantic environment but my kids loved it! Would definitely recommend, make sure you come hungry! The location was perfect too."

  • "If you love to taste as many flavors as possible when dining, this place fits that need. The salad bar is fabulous; the cheeses and cured meats are a meal that would satisfy any taste junkie. The hot meats (about 10 selections) were just delicious. One of us likes her meat as rare as possible, which she never gets. Here she got her choice of at least 5 different rare beef selections. She was a happy eater. It costs a lot, but you get a lot. If you don't eat much at a meal, don't go there. We were there when it was about 1/3 full, and the meat came out beautifully warm and spaced perfectly, as we were hungry, the meat came. Had a problem with sangria, too sweet, they took care of immediately. Nice job! Fun night of dining!"

  • "When heading for the great selections at the soup/salad bar, remember to save plenty of room for the delicious and plentiful selections served for the main course. They were very accommodating in presenting beef cooked to our liking, as all four of us prefer beef that is at least "medium" or more well-done. And the desserts (if there is still room!) are also great. Our server prepared a "Happy Birthday" plate for the member of our party who was celebrating it."

  • "This was a very cool & different than the typical restaurant. I went with a group of 14 to celebrate a birthday. Our reservation was for 8:30 PM on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, we didn't get seated until 9:10. I realize it's a busy night but that's the whole point of reservations right? It was tough standing with cake, gifts, & 14 people. After we got our salad & sides the meats just kept coming. It felt like we were being really rushed. It was overwhelming to have so much food brought to the table right after we sat down. The food was very good though so it's hard to give this place a bad review. Maybe, going on a weeknight might have been a better first experience for everyone so we can manage our chip flipping (green to red) better."
