This was my first to Texas de Brazil in NYC. The restaurant was beautiful and extremely clean. The food was delicious. The meat was seasoned wonderfully and cooked to a perfect medium. The salad bar had wonderful options. The only negative comment was that our actual waiter could have been more attentive.

The food is delectable! A few servers had attitude and skipped our table when we were requesting the meats they had. The manager rectified it and checked in with us several times. It was a great experience for my husbands' birthday. They do NOT sing Happy Birthday and would NOT seat partial parties to support a surprise but it was still a nice time.

Salad bar was awesome - loved the lobster bisque. We had an awesome waiter by the name of Spencer. He really made the experience worth-while. Any meat we wanted after all selections circulated he made sure they brought back to us promptly. Their specialty drinks were AMAZING. I had a Brazilian Sunset (I think thats the name not too sure) & my sister had a specialty margarita & both were perfected. The meats were juicy & cooked to perfection. The manager stops to make sure everything is okay & that is also great, you know theyre paying attention.

Much better experience than the first time I went here as there was no obnoxious party going on with loud, drunk adults. Food is great and those serving the food are attentive but trying to get refills on drinks, etc. can be a challenge. I think this place is way too big and am not sure how they will stay in business as it was nearly empty when I was there on a Wednesday evening. It also can get super noisy based on the design of the restaurant, so much so that you cannot hold a conversation with someone sitting across from you.

The salad table which comes with dinner is a meal in itself with delicious choices including soup. It was lobster bisque when I was there- yum! The roving carvers with skewers of meat stop and let you decide whether you want what they have. If you don't want that another choice will be along shortly. The sausages are great. The only disappointment was that they did not have cream or half and half for the coffee just milk or skim milk. Tried two desserts both of which were delicious unnecessary given the size of the meal but it was a birthday celebration.

I have visited some of the Texas de Brazil restaurants other Places. This time and last time (Miami Beach) I was dissapointed of the quality of the meat. You have to take care of the meat which is one of the serious reasons to choice Texas de Brazil. It was better when I visited your restaurant in Las Vegas the first time in 2010. One of my Danish friends mentioned that he had the same experience earlier this year. Just to let you know. The reastaurant in NYC is not so beautyfull as other Places (Las Vegas and Miami Beach).

The cold salad bar was fantastic....delightful veggies and meal accompaniments. The meats were delicious, beautiful cuts. The Texas ribs needed more slow-cooking/smoking if the word Texas is used. The atmosphere is somewhat vacuous and empty feeling, and I'm sure the interior design would do better in photos that it does in person given the incongruities and unresolved challenges with scale and proportion. All in all, for $59 prixfix, it's a very good Brazilian-Type Steakhouse experience but feels a bit like a Las Vegas restaurant just off the strip.

I'm Italian and maybe a bit spoilt about food but this restaurant is the worst place I've ever been. They pretend to serve the Brazilian rodizo but the waiter are unable to carve properly the meat. Meat quality is a avarage to poor. They had a birthday party with very loud and unpolite guest and the manager didn't say a word to that group. I had to tell the manager that was very noisy and finally he went to talk to the guys. Wine list very very pricey. Place on sat night was quite empty I had the feeling to be in a tourist trap. Never again!

I've always been interested in Brazilian styled steakhouses, from watching it on TV and so forth. I chose Texas de Brazil because of location and ratings & reviews I've seen on Yelp. My initial experience started at the bar, the bartender seemed cool and attentive. Once my guests arrived we were taken upstairs to be seated. I started with the salad bar first all the items were fresh and neatly displayed. Once the servers started coming around w/ the meats is when the real experience began! I specifically told my waiter to hold off on the pork which he complied to the servers. Highlights were the Brazilian soda!! All the meats were well seasoned! My only complaint would be some were medium rare but most were well done. Nice Decor, Great Exp!

My husband and I came here (7/12/14) to celebrate an anniversary. We saw couples, families and groups of friends enjoying themselves. We got a great spot by the window upstairs and enjoyed people watching throughout our dining experience. I came when I was 8.5 months pregnant and the servers noted this and made my experience super accomodating. I only mentioned once in the beginning that I wished for well-done meat and that was the only meat brought to me. It was pretty cool. Our server in particular checked up on us when needed and made sure we had enough of the cheese bread because we kept gobbling them all up! The garlic mash is definitely yummy too!

The food is quite amazing. I have only 2 complaints: First, this is a spacious restaurant. As such, it takes quite some time for the meat servers to make rounds. Second, the restroom is not enough. They have a one-person restroom, which given the size of the restaurant is certainly not enough, especially when they are near full. You may have to wait some time.

Went on a weekend and paid full price. Prices were discounted from Monday to Thursday. My guess is that business is not good at that time. Meat is of top quality and the food bar is exceptional but given the price it could have more expensive offerings. Quantity is large but how many types of olives do you need? How about octopus, calamari, deviled eggs, clams, mussels, etc. The price warrants a better selection. We also found that the meal moves along too quickly. It is best to order a drink and wait a bit before going to the food bar. The slicers and servers are quick to offer what they are carrying and the meal tends to be over in less than an hour. Service was wonderful and if you can really pack away the food it is the place for you

The service was great. Everyone was friendly. The ambiance was spectacular. The food was good and tasty, but I wasn't able to try the filet mignon because they didn't bring it out. I guess they only bring it out every hour. Overall, I would come again. The salad bar has fresh food, and the lobster bisque was delicious.

The meats are the star, but the salad bar shines in its supporting role in the Texas de Brazil show. The sprawling, two-story, family-friendly space packed a decent crowd at 5:30 on a Sunday. Standout salad-bar offerings included pineapple carpaccio, seared tuna, sauteed mushrooms, salami and prosciutto, grilled gorgonzola, and shrimp. Some tables are very far from the salad bar, but close to the floor-to-ceiling window. As expected, the meats are fantastic, and most are served medium or medium-rare. It's not a cheap meal, but we'd much rather have this in the neighborhood than California Pizza Kitchen (the former tenant of the space).

We had come before and loved it. We had found this restaurant to be far superior to Fogo De Chao and were very excited about returning. We dined on 05/15 to celebrate my promotion and were really looking forward to it. I am the General Manager of a restaurant in the city and for me to rave about a place means a lot. I called the manager over and explained my disappointment and showed him the massive plate of overcooked food. I showed the waiter the glass of water and said it was probably just soap residue, for my girlfriends benefit, to which he responded that it clearly was not soap residue but we could not figure out what it was.

Excellent in all regards concerning food and beverage. Since it is a buffet style barbecue, the service was attentive and not in your face which I thought was fantastic. They reserved a corner table for us which was wonderful, although a bit of a hike from the buffet. Not their fault, I requested it.

I have been to this chain in another city (Chicago) and was excited to try it again in NYC. What a disappointment! The food lacked taste, the salad bar was in disarray and appeared "dirty" and the service was horrific. We waited 26 minutes between the first lamb chop and the next "meat" that was served. It even took five requests to get a check to leave.
