A word from Test Kitchen
Our menu is a digital menu. Every item is displayed on an iPad which allows us to change the menu as often as we want. We are able to change the menu with the seasons, stay on trend and never get stale.

Our wine list offers our wines by the glass at the same price as each other so that the wine can be chosen for the quality, not the price. We also offer many high end wines by the bottle and by August we will have Contraband Sparkling Wine "on Tap".

For Lunch we offer a $10 lunch menu that includes a choice of 7 items, a bottle of beer or 4oz glass of wine and tax. This excellent value menu will continually change based on the seasonal trends.

On a recommendation from a foodie, three of us tried Test Kitchen for lunch last week. Our mains were all from the $10 lunch special board and were extremely good. The portion size of the mac & cheese grilled sandwich and the meatball sub were larger than anticipated. The asparagus crepe was more in-line with our expectations and the vegetable was cooked perfectly. The grilled cheese was very buttery but oh so tasty. There was even room for dessert which we usually decline. The peach tartin was very fresh tasting and although the brownie was a little rich for me, the diner who ordered it stopped just short of licking the plate. Service was very friendly but professional. We will definitely be back to try the dinner menu.

I've tried to pop into Test Kitchen for their amazing lunch deals several times, always on the fly, clearly reservations are required, it's been at capacity every time, good for them. I made a reservation for a birthday dinner determined to finally sample the menu, happily there was every reason to be satisfied. There were three of us, each immensely satisfied: one had lamb, thought it among the best lamb dinners he'd had; one had the burger, loved; I had pasta with scallops, pasta was fresh, the seared scallops among the best I've had, fresh, perfectly cooked. Service was great, food was great, a fantastic chic addition to downtown Burlington. Check out the 'test menu' too, cool concept.

Good atmosphere. Our lunch including drink and tax was only $10. The food was delicious and well presented. The restaurant was very busy and a bit noisy. Everyone enjoying the amazing deal on a gourmet lunch!

Been for dinner and it was pretty good. Decided to try for lunch with friends at my recommendation and was very disappointed. Extremely small portions that weren't very good. Nearly unedible. First question from the server was white or red wine without explaining the concept I the $10 lunch. Felt like we were at a cheap breakfast diner. After an $80 lunch for 4 people, we left to go to another restaurant because we were still hungry (and we're not fat people). I was embarrassed for bringing friends from out of town. I'd only return for dinner because I am impressed with the menu and I have had a decent meal there before. I'll be recommending people against lunch however.

This was my first visit to the Test Kitchen - cool concept and it delivered! We had items from both the main menu and test menu. It had a very eclectic food menu - flavours and textures were absolutely wonderful. The homemade truffles were outstanding. Our service was also fantastic.

That's how our waiter described the $10.00 lunch promotion at Test Kitchen. Indeed it is though not perhaps for those with large appetites. A modest though tasty lunch includes a 4 oz glass of wine and, in our case, impeccable service - definitely a "wicked little deal"!!

I ordered from the $10 Lunch Menu which included a glass of wine and taxes! While the portions are not large, I found them perfect for lunch. Great flavours, attractive presentation. Larger portions available from the regular menu. Wait staff were knowledgeable about the excellent Gluten free choices. Will return again.

Probably lunch with a glass of wine for $10.00 is a good deal. My wife and daughter shared a pizza and a scallop dish and I had the mango coconut cold soup and the dirty burger. None was great and dinner with a bottle of wine was $132.00 before tip. We were not impressed.

Concept is very cool, food was good yet there were many negatives to ambience. For a slow night, almost empty restaurant - we were squeezed into a very small area beside another couple..we all had to listen to each other's intimate conversations. Very off-putting in an empty restaurant. Stairway and hallway to basement bathrooms very grungy looking, greasy, old dirt caked, yuck. While eating, the oversized tv screen on wall showed large-quantity cooking shows..watching unidentified ingredients being slopped into institutional cooking kettles on a big screen - not a good fit All the waitstaff/chef collected in the very middle of the restaurant chatting/drinking water/folding napkins - didn't want to see that. Ambience needs some attention

Test Kitchen was recommended to me by family and I loved it! – the environment is comfortable and the food fantastic. I definitely will return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the lamb remarkable. Everyone at our table tried something different and nobody was disappointed with their choices. The service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."

Lunch was very good and reasonably priced. Noise factor quite loud. Our booth was next to clean up area for dirty dishes. We had reservations but were kept waiting for 20 mins beyond our reserved time. Appears the restaurant needs to refine their reservation timing procedures. We were, however, compensated for the wait time with a gratis delightful dessert.

From the moment we arrived and were sat promptly for our one o'clock reservation until we walked out the door, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was more than pleasant. She was engaging and fun. The $10 lunch portions are small but perfectly created. My dining partner had the lamb kebabs. They were beautifully presented with olive tapenade and tatziki. I had the two asparagus crepe that came with an arugula salad and the freshest brightest lemon ricotta I have ever tasted. We had a hard time deciding on what to order because we had seen several plates of the Mac and cheese grilled cheese with fries go by so we opted for a side of fries to satisfy our diner desires. All in our bill came to $23.50 INCLUDING WINE! Incredible value.

What a great restaurant! Loved everything from the mini-ipad menus to the excellently cooked food. We had the $10 lunch which included a small glass of wine! I had the perch which was a small piece, beautifully cooked and came with small side of potato salad, also yummy. My friend had macaroni cheese sandwich which was huge and came with a generous helping of tasty fries. I will definitely return to this vibrant and busy restaurant. You need a reservation which can be done online.
