A word from Terzo
Terzo (which means third in Italian) offers a daily changing menu of about 15 small plates and 5 large plates. Its “pan-Mediterranean” fare is under the care of Executive Chef Mark Gordon. The wine list offers over 80 options of European and Californian wines chosen to pair with the food.

>A high table sits between the bar and dining room and offers communal style seating for up to 10 diners. Additional walk-in seating is available on 3 high tops in the front window. Espresso leather banquets line the dining room. A more intimate back dining room can be booked for private parties of up to 18.

Inspired by the wine bars and cafes of Sicily, Rome, Seville & Madrid, wines are stored along the walls of the dining room. An original fireplace was refurbished and is lit when the weather is chilly out. Stylish lighting creates a chic atmosphere.

The calamari and meatballs were the biggest hit, while the wilted escarole salad with a poached egg seemed the least flavorful. Nice ambiance, especially if you get there early.   • "We have been meaning to visit Terzo for a long time as it is in our neighborhood. We final did and were pleasantly surprised. We didn't have any preconceptions and kinda expected it to be good just because it has been around a while and has a nice look from the outside. It was better than expected, the food was great, service wonderful (thanks Ron!), and the decor was very nice. I can't comment on large groups, brunch etc, but we had our anniversary dinner at 5:30 and it was perfect for that. We plan on going back."

  • "it was my Birthday and my daughter had requested a piece of cake with a candle, needless to say this didn't happen until after the fact. our waiter was not familiar with the menu which had 5 dinner items on it, my salmon was excellent but the other 4 people i was with had chicken which was a chicken leg with a little bit of orzo which was very watery. chicken was tender though but chicken legs are usually tender. we ordered another bottle of wine which never came. not impressed at all. all and all it was ok and the prices were too high for what you got. i do not recommend this restaurant "

  • "I chose to celebrate a a special occasion at Terzo with friends. We had a nice table where we could hold a conversation. The waiter was very helpful with menu choices. We mostly ordered the small plates. Everything was outstanding. One diner commented that the beets were the best he had ever tasted. The meatballs and brisket were both delectable dishes, as were the hummus and mozzarella di bufala. The patatas bravas were excellent - they were more like potato chips than potato wedges, making them easy to dip in the aioli. Overall a memorable evening"

  • "a little disappointing....not enough wait staff. We actually received more attention from the bus person than our waiter but it was a bit full for 6:00 on Sunday. Stared with water but h (which we ALSO had to remind our wait person that we ordered it) came back as glass of wine.... FOOD....we shared a stuffed squash blossom which was good but 3 for 2 people..not much for $9.50 My Pork Loin was dry, tough and over cooked. Expected better for the price...However, The potato dish and vegetable were very good. Husband had the Greek Style chicken which he enjoyed. Received the bill but were never asked if we wanted coffee - again we caught the attention of the bus person who retrieved our waiter. Not sure we would go back."

It is consistently high quality with sufficient variety in the menu that we do not mind returning to host our guests. It has the class and ambience to know that you are dining out, but is warm and unpretentious. Dishes are creative without being gimmicky and the wine list is for people who enjoy excellent wine without having to resort to a few heavily marketed brand names. Service is prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Overall, just a very tasteful and satisfying experience. "

The table was large and it was very difficult to talk to the ppl at the other end, but frankly I was more interested in the food. We ordered 90% of the menu and loved each dish. I prefer to taste lots of dishes rather than fill up on one entrée, etc... Terzo is perfect for that. Wine was wonderful too. Our server, Ron, is so awesome that I wish he'd be my friend. I'll have to frequent this place often enough to make that happen :)"

We shared a few of the smaller plates which were artfully composed and--which can be rare to find--really well seasoned. The mussels we shared were the best I had ever eaten: perfectly cooked, still tender and almost custard-like inside--not over-cooked and rubbery like they so often are and too easily can be. "
