  • "We were treated like royalty. Fabulous service and the food was fantastic!! We had fried stuffed zucchini flowers, a platter with prosciutto di Parma, caramalized pear with honey and nuts, specialty cheeses, olives and bruschetta with a pancetta patte. For seconds we had pizza. We had the "Noi" wine which was reasonably price and tasted great. We had the pleasure of sitting on the patio and that set the mood for a great night."

  • "What's the point of making reservations? They don't seat you unless all your party has arrived. Even though the tables were empty. If that's your policy, let your customer know on Open Table when you are booking a table. An awful experience. I live closeby and was a regular customer since they opened. I will never go back there or to any of their other restaurants again. A good example of a good brand breaking down at customer level."

  • "Don't you just hate it when you complain about food and the waiter tries to persuade you that's the way it was meant to be? When I complained of the burnt taste of my pizza and turned it over to show the deeply blackened bottom, I got a rather patronizing response that the pizza was supposed to be that way. Really! I had to insist it was inedible before it was replaced. I usually love olive oil on my bread, but this time I craved butter. Terroni doesn't offer butter. Hm, I guess it's not so much into catering to what a guest might want. And it's a long time since I hit a restaurant that no dirt cola! Really disappointing experience."

Two and a half hours later we we begging for a check. Couldn't find our so-called wait staff. The food was great, btw."

I understand that there might be situation where you are not able to substitute but they seem to be inflexible on all aspects from food to drinks.   • "A bad experience overall. They could not make a simple bar drink (as they wouldn't create anything that wasn't on the menu). I understand they have a no modifications menu, but with a food allergy, I think this should be taken into consideration. I asked to remove 1 item from my pizza (that I am allergic to), and they said no! Further, the waitress recommended an alternative pizza and it came with the food I can't eat. There are other smaller complaints. In the end, there are so many restaurants in the city that care about satisfying the customer while maintaining the integrity of their menu that I would never recommend spending money here."

  • "This restaurant is great visually; architecture and decor have a lot of character, giving the place a great vibe. Nice gathering place for groups (loud). Nice looking patio, variety of seating and standing options inside as well. The food though, was only mediocre. We had the mixed cured meat and cheese plate as an appetizer. The only meat on the plate was prosciutto. It could have been purchased at Sobeys - there was no distinction in the flavour. Same goes for the brie and the hard cheese on the plate. The honey, olives and poached pear half were lovely though. My braised lamb pasta was awful - meat was tough little bits and "homemade" cavatelli was not fresh. Our server never smiled, and didn't do anything about the pasta complaint."

  • "I have enjoyed Terroni for many years but the glow is fading. The service was cavalier and slow and when the waitress said that she couldn't do separate cheques (but she could do separate payments!), that just made me mad. Anyone who has worked in a restaurant or bar knows that restaurant software allows this. It may take a few more minutes but it's very possible. And it's called customer service. So when the bill came and an obligatory 18% tip was already added, my friends and I spent 15 minutes with our phones, figuring out all of our individual costs. I'm no longer satisfied with this level of customer service. If someone wants separate cheques and you can easily do it, do it. I'm going to leave Terroni alone and find some where else."

  • "The pizza combos were fantastic and because of the generous sizing, our party of four chose 4 different options and then we all had a little taste of each others. The starter Calamari that we ordered was fresh & tasty. The bonus feature was that the on site Sommelier matched a perfect wine to the "pear pizza". Although it was very busy the service was quick & friendly. Awesome night all around!"

  • "Used to love the food ... This time very disappointing daily fish special of red snapper. Tiniest main course for $19, fish about 2 ounces, dry and overcooked, served on a smear of asparagus/potato purée with strange cold cous cous salad. Whole thing covered only a fraction of the plate and I had to eat bread and butter to supplement the small portion. I do not drink alcohol and requested tomato juice - they don't have it! Not even clamato juice! So I presume bar says no way if you want a Bloody Mary or Bloody Caesar! Server referred me to menu of soft drinks but all were sweetened sodas, so I had to stick to boring sparkling water. This not the neighbourhood gem it once was."

  • "Terroni is a fantastic restaurant and helped end our trip to Toronto on a lovely culinary note. My boyfriend ordered the duck ravioli and it was spectacular! I ordered the sausage pizza and was wonderfully pleased (I am not a pork eater, but will dip into some spicy sausage every now and again and this pizza did not disappoint). I was also glad to see that although the menu did feature items such as the duck ravioli, the ambiance was not stuffy and pretentious, but rather warm and stylishly comfortable. The restaurant also boasts a spacious rooftop dining area that is very reminiscent of Miami Beach. Overall, Terroni was a fantastic find on our trip to Toronto and I definitely plan to visit upon my return to this sweet city."

  • "Overall our group had an enjoyable food experience. All meals ordered were delicious and service was fairly prompt. Our server was also friendly. Only downfall would be that Terroni's refuses to accommodate certain requests. For instance, a pregnant diner friend had a craving for balsamic vinegar to accompany the oil and bread, but they would not provide. I understand that when you have excellent quality of olive oil, you do not want to mask the flavours, however if a pregnant diner has such a request, perhaps bending the rules is called for. "

  • "I took my friend to this place. It's the second time I'd been here. I mainly took her there for how active the place was. Unfortunately, the food wasn't great. We both ordered pasta with sauce and basil. The pasta was overcooked and drowned in sauce that had no taste. I had to ask for cheese. They don't ask you if you want any. I had to ask for salt to try and make it taste better. We had to drink water because we didn't like your cocktail menu. I asked the waitress if they could make me a drink called sex on the beach but she said they couldn't. I had gone there the week before with my boyfriend. He ordered octopus with spaghetti and I ordered pasta Bolognese which was overcooked. I'll never eat there again. "

  • "This was the first time at your restaurant. I have heard good things--so I chose to celebrate my birthday at your location. It wasn't warm enough to sit outside with my elderly father (who uses a wheelchair--so not able to reach the roof anyway.) That was understood and eating inside was fine. The noise level was disturbing & was the only negative part of the evening but was a major distraction. Even our waitress said it was unusually noisy. I don't know how this can be remedied & perhaps the owners aren't concerned about this aspect of the dining experience. The food was very good (better than expected). Our waitress was very good. I would only recommend this to very young people and I will return to eat on the roof. "

  • "When we first joined our group at our table of 6, one of them said "welcome to Chuck E Cheese!". There were kids running around eveywhere it seemed, and the noise level was unbelievable. But, as our reservation was for 7 pm, "kiddie dining" was coming to a close, so by 7:30, it had settled down considerably. The rest of the evening was great - the food is dependably good and it's a fun atmosphere for getting together with friends. Haven't been on the rooftop patio yet but plan to get there this summer…I hear it's lovely."

  • "I heard a lot of great things about Terroni and was really excited to go. The place was packed which is always a good sign to me. The food was good as well ....but I'd say just good not fantastic. However it was the service that really made me unimpressed. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and was not around much. Drinks took a really long time to arrive;I was done my dinner and them my wine arrived. Other serving staff continued to smack themselves into the chairs of my self and my friends which was also not great I think my water was spilt onto my lap and my husband almost speared himself. Not even an excuse me. Then we had an 18% gratuity applied to our bill which is fine if deserved. We will continue to look for a good place"
