  • "Going back to a restaurant after you've been there already almost always disappoints, but not Terrasole. If anything it was even better the second time around. The greeting at the door, the servers demeanor, the food, the wine were all top notch. A visit by the owner at the end of the meal was a nice touch. Will definitely go back"

  • "We had a 7:30 reservation and weren't seated until 8:15 in a deafeningly noisy dining room. Yes we were served a very nice bottle of sparkling rose, compliments of the house when we were finally seated which was a nice touch but I would have preferred to be seated closer to on time. There were a couple of very large parties that made the room incredibly loud and very difficult to hear and I am not very old! That said, the food was delicious. My appetizer and entree were both terrific. If you order the Veal Milanese, split it with someone as it is enormous! I might go back again on a weeknight when it is more likely to be less crowded and noisy but doubt I will visit again on a Saturday night."

  • "The food and wine were excellent but my husband and I both noticed that the staff seemingly hovered over the guests. Perhaps this was more evident simply because the place is small and there was nowhere for them to go. It almost seemed as though there were too many people working."

Their wine glasses are beautiful and generous in size. Makes a big difference when you sip a fire vintage from a delicate glass."

  • "Just came back from trip to Italy and for a moment I thought I was back there eating. Flavor was authentic and presentation was beautiful. We were a group of 8 and they handled it perfectly. Did not rush us, spaced courses out perfectly and were extremely attentive. Our friends came up from Westport and they all agreed that they would add this to their places to go when they wanted to get away from their usual choices at home."

  • "Four adults on a Snowy Saturday night-prime time 7pm. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and inviting. Our host greeted us in Italian and we were seated promptly after meeting our friends, who were waiting for us in the cute bar area. Let's just say we loved the food, once it finally arrived. I ordered a salad, and no one else ordered apps. We waited about 45 minutes for our entrees, and my husband's salmon was room temp, at best. Apologies were offered after a while, nothing else. Luckily we enjoyed each other's company, and weren't enroute to a movie, theater, etc."

  • "Pietro, the owner, designs the menu based on the best organic, locally sourced ingredients. He tries unusual types of fish -such as Barramuda--and prepares the dishes with the use of herbs and amazing privately bottled EVOO from the Terresole restaurant--with gold flakes no less. Try one of Pietro's signature cocktails with gold flakes. The food is fresh and can be tweaked for dietary reasons if needed. Pietro and his staff go out of their way to ensure you're dining experience is like being a guest in their home. If you're not sure what type of wine to choose--you will never go wrong with Pietro's picks--most of the wines are from Puglia and simply amazing. Summer time is the best time to dine outside--Mangia bene!"

Lobster appetizer with special dipping sauce was truly memorable as was the "house choice" white wine. Our NYC friends were amazed at the freshness and quality of the food, and the kindness and care of the chef/owner."

  • "We were a last minute reservation for Xmas eve, and as new Ridgefield residents didn't know what to do for dinner. We are a family of 4 (kids ages 7 & 9) and there was something for everyone on the menu. I appreciated the normal menu, and not a price fixed one for the holidays. The food was delicious, and our waiter was delightful."

  • "TerraSole is, by far, my favorite restaurant in Fairfield County. It's food, service and atmosphere are all above and beyond. The owner, Pietro, incredibly warm and engaging with all clients. By far, the food at TerraSole is the main attraction. Every dish I have tried was spectacular, but my favorites are the pasta with shrimp and lobster and their veal chop is to die for. Also their brunch is amazing, and I was surprised, it can be ordered everyday. These people are perfectionists, nothing is left to chance. The atmosphere is sleek and somewhat minimalist because the food is the star."

The wine list includes a large selection of wines from Italy with Peitro highlghting a few of his favorites. The specials are always new and exciting and the menu has some very good "main stays"."

  • "Was in Italy for 2 weeks over summer and was looking for somewhere that would come close to what we ate while there. Can honestly say Terra Sole came withing inches of landing in our top 3 favorite restaurants and I bet that if Terra Sole was on a Tuscan Hillside overlooking the vinyards, it would have been #1 or #2. Service was top notch, food was fresh and flavorful. Will go again real soon."

We made a table reservation, but ate int he small intimate bar area. The service was friendly without being obtrusive, the cocktails were top notch and well priced too..Food, two appetizers to share, were beautifully presented and delicious. Altogether a wonderful find and we will be back again."

  • "the extremely amiable staff and efficient kitchen just move too fast. plates are cleared even if one person still eating and the main course was delivered within a minute of appetizer plates cleared. we were not drinking but first course thru dessert and coffee in 30 minutes? i need to relax more- and enjoy the terrific food."

  • "This was the second time we ate there within the month and thoroughly enjoyed it as much as the first! Inventive menu with just the right amount of innovation without being "way out".....lots to chose from - all of which was very tasty. The ony comment of surprise was regarding the short ribs lasagna....while the filling was delicious and rich, the dish could have used more than just 1 layer of pasta under the melted cheese. While we are all watching our carb intake, this brought watching our carbs to a new level! The portabella and egg plant meat balls were delicious - perhaps a bit of melted mozarella chese over the top would be a nice addition......all other dishes were excellent! We will return!"

The service is good and getting a table outside on the patio makes for a great summer-evening dining experience. As an aside, the fashionable hostesses offer a warm greeting and make a great first impression. And at the end of our meal, the large hot cappuccinos (prepared by a very nice lady) are terrific."

  • "Terra Sole is a great find just off the main road through Ridgefield, CT, especially for one traveling from New England to New York. The food is terrific with sumptuous daily specials in addition to the usual menu. The owner, a native of Puglia, Italy, welcomed us, offered menu explanations and wine recommendations, and kept a watchful eye on us throughout our meal. The Tiramisu is probably the best we’ve ever had and the generous cup of hot cappuccino is prepared beautifully. The service was attentive without being overbearing and the atmosphere, inside and outside on the terrace (with live music) is warm and inviting. We will definitely stop by again."
