TerramiaFist time and loved itFirst time at Terramia. We had a group of 6 and had a fantastic table in the front window. Quaint and classy décor. The food was excellent. Seasonal favorite appetizer of fried zucchini blossoms. Arancini was a good choice too. Everyone had a different dish The Branzino, was excellent. Homemade pasta we excellent, particularly the Bombolotti Amatriciana. Service was prompt but not overbearing. 2 in our group were late and the restaurant staff was very accommodating. Would definitely say this is on my top 5 list for the North End.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHeavenly Osso BuccoAbsolutely wonderful artisanal cuisine. The Buffalo mozzerella in their Caprese salad was so delicate and fluffy it almost floated. For early season tomatoes they were wonderful and ripe. The balsamic dressing was very well balanced and robust.
The Osso Bucco was to die for. I wish I could make the creamy polenta and the sauce that the perfect veal shank was paired with.
Their take on amatriciana is really different and clever and you must eat all the sauce with their very nice crusty bread.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always the food was superb. As always the food was superb. Veal chop is to die for!!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat North End ItalianIt was a rainy Friday evening around 7:00 pm and while we had reservations, the restaurant still had several tables open. This was surprising especially after we had our appetizers and then great Primi followed by an excellent terimisu. Yhe wait staff was excellent and the good piping hot. I strongly recommend Terramia as a great Italian restaurant in the north end.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFood always tastes so freshConsistently fresh and delicious every tim i eat at Terra Mia. Romantic ambiance with a relatively low noise level. Perfect for special occasions (but not for a large party). Just note that Terra Mia isn't the place to go if you're looking for a wide variety of tomato sauce-based dishes as the menu is tilted towards a more Northern Italian style. Overall, Terra Mia is one of the most delicious places i've eaten in a the North End.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent North End ChoiceWe live in Boston and Terramia is one of our reliable go-to places for a pleasant evening out. The restaurant's intimate size makes it a perfect destination for couples or foursomes, and I like the fact that it is a bit removed from the crowds of Hanover Street. Oh, and then there's the food! On this visit we enjoyed two of their specials of the day: a house-made pasta with shrimp and lobster in a white-wine tomato basil sauce; and a vegetable risotto topped with braised short ribs. Both were delicious! The service was pleasant and efficient. As with many places, it is best to arrive early to get a better table and enjoy a more-relaxed dining experience. Can't wait to go back!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for VegansI had two vegan relatives visiting and we were so thankful to find a North End "traditional" restaurant with vegan options. Having been there many times in the past, I knew the service would be excellent. Vegan and glutan-free pasta was prominent on the menu. The staff and chef also strived to give us many options. The food was simple and delicious.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of my Boston favorites! My daughter is a student at BU. Whenever we come to town, I make a point to have dinner at Terramia. When found it when we first visited the city, and it seems to get even better with each visit. This time, we all enjoyed our meals, but my beet salad and pork osso bucco were to die for.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb DiningI used to live in Boston and have visited many of the North End restaurants and would rate this as one of thebest.
The staff is courteous and the service is quick.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've eaten here before forWe've eaten here before for special occasions, but it had been a while. Terramia did not disappoint!. The table was waiting for us when we arrived. Food was spectacular. The wait staff was attentive, but not overly-present. We'll be back for another special occasion.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGem in the North EndTerramia is a small restaurant. Make a reservation. We did make one and they gave us the prime table by the front window. The service is excellent. The food is excellent. Had a wonderful beet salad with goat cheese, very fresh, and linguini with clams.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat little spotGreat restaurant. Food was outstanding! Small, no bar though5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNot ur ordinary Italian restaurantVery different menu. All 3 in our party found and enjoyed an entree on the menu, one being a special.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAll AmazingTerramia is an amazing little Italian restaurant with a brilliant menu and great wine selection. The staff was great and the food came out in a blink of an eye and was fresh as can be. Will be high on my Boston recommended list.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood favorite.Terramia is always wonderful! The food is delicious with aesthetic presentation. Andy is a fabulous waiter! I definitely recommend!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI brought my co-workers fromI brought my co-workers from out of state and many of them took note of this restaurant for when they return to Boston with physicians and other customers. Very good experience.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMA very small, crowded andA very small, crowded and very energetic restaurant!! The service was friendly and efficient. The risotto balls were delicious and they don't spare the portions!!!! We also had the gnocchi and a veal chop, again huge portions. The veal chop was perfectly cooked and tasty and the gnocchi was also very good. I think my only complaint would be that this is a very crowded restaurant and if you happen to be just two people you could find your table to be only an inch away from another couple, so if you are not a fan of closeness and need your space, you might find this a little too close for comfort. But you would be missing out on an enjoyable evening of liveliness and very good food!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGREAT SERVER!!! good wine,GREAT SERVER!!! good wine, home made pasta, AMAZING banana vanilla bread pudding. LOVE!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, pleasant ambianceFood good, pricey for what it is , but this is a cosy, really pleasant little restaurant. Noise levels notably lower than many of the others nearby, including sister-restaurant Antico Forno across the street.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been to Terramia a coupleI've been to Terramia a couple of times already and it's great both times. We tried the scallops appetizer and the potatoes that came with it were delish! Their sea bass never disappoints and our mushroom risotto was very flavorful. It's a great place if you're on a date. Very small restaruant with candlelit tables and not as rowdy. Great little gem in the North End. The only thing I wished was that they offer a full bar but they do offer wine which was fine. This restaurant is definitely a "go again" restaurant!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOME.the best veal chopAWESOME.the best veal chop ever!!!!! That is the only way to describe. Both the food and the service4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLively, fun and deliciousTerramia was packed, buzzy and the food was delicious. We ordered everything on the Restaurant Week menu and tasted it all. The service was delightful.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOn a recommendation from aOn a recommendation from a friend in the Boston area, we ventured out to Terramia during a visit and were not disappointed. It is tiny but authentic, with outstanding service to go along with exceptional food. I highly recommend it for small groups (4 or less).3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMMy family's goto for authenticMy family's goto for authentic Italian in the North End. Menu is frequently updated and always treated outstanding! Highly recommend.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food any great serviceDelicious food, top rate service, and pleasant ambiance. Small but not crowded. Lobster fritters looked beautiful, tasted delicious. Arancini (4 large risotto balls) were filling and very tasty. Bolognese pasta was excellent, meat a bit sinewy. Veal chop special was a pricey $40 but huge and delicious. Excellent tiramisu was given to us without charge because the wait staff heard one of us was celebrating a birthday. Appetizers run mid teens, pasta low $20's, entrees high $20's to low $30's. Not cheap but reasonable for the great food and service. Portions were ample, but not large. Enough to fill you but not overfill. Worth repeat visits. Definitely refutes the more negative reviews on Yelp.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this placeI love the relaxed feel of this place - small and cozy. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Wagyu fillet and Branzino was amazing. There Tiramisu was just perfect.
Service was well-timed and friendly.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMIn my opinion Terramia isIn my opinion Terramia is the best restaurant in the city. there prices have jumped a bit therefore I dont go as often as i used to, but definetly worth it a few times a year. The menu was authentically Italian and unique.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMCame on a Friday night withCame on a Friday night with 6 people. Ordered arancini and lobster fritters for table to share, both were excellent. All pasta dishes were stellar, especially the bolognese & bombolloti. Only minor quibble is that the wine list is a bit limited, but we still found a solid supertuscan in the mix.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is always outstandingFood is always outstanding and service is friendly and efficient.3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food experience in BostonThis was our first meal in Boston - and we loved it.
