Terrain Garden CafeBad table ruined the experienceI treated my friend to lunch for her birthday. The food was very good but we were seated at a table right by the kitchen. I was lightly bumped by waiters at least four times. Annoying.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTrue neighborhood gemLoved it! Excellent food, great ambiance of flowers and rustic items both outdoors and indoors. Highly recommended for casual and romantic occasions.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMSomething DifferentThis is a GREAT spot for brunch or lunch. It is in a high end garden store and you feel like you are outside somewhere in CA. The food is outstanding. The service is fantastic. Even my foodie husband loved it. Bring your girlfriends and stay to make a terrarium in the garden store!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the Scallops - perfectlyLoved the Scallops - perfectly fresh, perfectly cooked with a brown glaze and tender, moist inside. Also enjoyed the Beet Salad. The wait-staff is right-on with wine recommendations and seeing to it that you have what your heart desires from the menu. I wanted to try the sweet potato hash, and was given a portion as a side to my main dish - really appreciated! The bread in a pot was fresh-baked, with a perfect crumb. The table setting inside this stunning garden shop was serene. I felt like we were at a private terrace in a lovely forest bower. We will go again!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMHas great potentialTerrain, the restaurant is a GREAT concept.
Unfortunately, the food is not great, which is disappointing because everything else is just plain wonderful.
The menu was creative and exciting, the waitstaff is kind and efficient, the environment of a greenhouse was soothing.
I sincerely hope they improve the food because;Terrain, the garden center, is a GREAT concept.
This VERY large store (connected) to the restaurant, is outstanding! You will be wowed when you enter this calm, sensory experience, that is just extraordinary! Lush plants in abundance, home goods, clothing and accessories, lotions, soaps, candles and more.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently very good nowConsistently very good now for over a year. We brought our own wine and the corkage fee was very reasonable ($15). Can't wait for the weather to get better so we can eat outside!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a lovely brunch. N addition to the very fresh, amazing food, the service was genuinely thoughtful . We will definitely go back!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrain was amazing. The foodTerrain was amazing. The food was terrific as was the location and ambiance. Our waiter was the best. I can't say enough good things...wish I lived closer because I would be there frequently...but it's well worth the hour and a half drive! I felt like I had a little vacation....3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall, we had a great experience.Overall, we had a great experience. I ate some of the best scallops that I have ever had, and the mushroom polenta side was outstanding. However as always, in any meal out, there was some things that could have been better. My veggies, ramps or spring garlic, and potatoes were so salty! And the drinks were pretty weak. To make up for it a little bit, the dessert choice of almond bread pudding with ice cream was pretty darn amazing. I would def go back sometime.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Service! The food and service are excellent. Always try the recommendations, because the staff is very knowledgable!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful setting! MaineWonderful setting! Maine lobster rolls were not up to par. Too many French fries. Bread baked in flower pot was warm and delicious! Check cover very special. Plates on other tables looked more interesting.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe brought 2 friends hereWe brought 2 friends here for lunch who had never been here. They loved it and Melissa delivered fabulous service and special attention to our table. Our friends were impressed and we'll all definitely be back again!3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThis has become my go-to restaurantThis has become my go-to restaurant even though it's about an hour's driving from my usual spots. Though the menu is brief with a typical selection of no more than 12 appetizers and 12 main courses, there is something for everyone from the locavore to the vegan and the carnivore in between. The restaurant is settled by the side of the Terrain store which offers some of the most undeniably interestesting and high end gardening tools and plants. The service couldn't be any more serviable and friendly. I can't wait for my next excuse to travel out of the way either for lunch or dinner.12/28/2012 12:00:00 AM
