Terrace Dining Room and Lounge - Banff Park LodgeExcellent food nice surroundingsWhen we arrived at 6 pm we were the first to get there,so it was rather quiet, but it did become more active later on. The appetiser and the 2 main courses we had were outstanding. My wife had the beef tenderloin which she enjoyed immensely, especially the wine soaked leeks and I had the elk medallions, which had flavours I had never thought of putting on meat before - coffee and chocolate. It was amazing. The dessert ( apple raisin crumble) was from the other end of the scale - very ordinary.
We were a little disappointed with the dress code. It doesn't seem appropriate to us that at a fine restaurant people should be eating while they are wearing baseball caps and hoodies.
