Diner Reviews
  • "Enjoyed the buffet. Our service was outstanding.Everyone was very friendly and upbeat.Enjoyed our seats to watch the game"

  • "They clearly didn't have enough wait staff. One server taking care of our "section" of 10 tables, which of course we all showed up at 5, because that's when reservations are. Took 10 minutes to get a water and a beer. Why they bother asking how you want your burger done is a mystery, because they are all done the same. They are the same ones you get in the ballpark, so there is NO way to get it other than done. We thought about getting the buffet, but after taking a look at the offerings....$32 for prime rib that looked dry and all you can eat hot dogs there was NO WAY we were spending that kind of money. It's an experience with a nice view, just don't expect great food or service and you HAVE to be out by 6:45 no exceptions."

  • "The service at this restaurant was very poor. Our server took too long to take our drink order and to bring them back to us - we only ordered soft drinks. Once the food came out, it was cold and incorrect. The burger was greasy and lacked flavor. The only redeeming part of the meal were the hand-cut fries, good flavor but still cold. I guess when you're the only restaurant in the stadium you can get away with poor service and food quality."

  • "The Terrace Club was busy and the food took a little longer than usual to come out of the kitchen, but once we received it, everything was good. The view of the playing field is always great!"

  • "We were so nervous - we read several poor reviews about Terrace Club, we were nervous to eat there. We are glad we tried it!! First of all, the french fries are absolutely delicious!! The menu did appear to be mostly sandwich-type items, but that was fine with us. There is a buffet option, too. The wait staff treated us like royalty, and we were not rushed at all while there (as we read others were in reviews.) We could see the entire ball field from our table, and watched the players warming up for the game, which was really exciting. There were kids in the restaurant, but no concerns with them. We did not order alcohol, so I cannot comment on that. Food is a tad pricey, but you are paying for the view and experience as well."

  • "The buffet is very disappointing. All the items are in such tiny bowls they empty quickly, then you end up waiting for them to refill it. Workers need educated about food allergies without having to go ask and again disappear for 10 min. How about some dessert options for kids at the buffet too?"

  • "Our server Rebecca is the worse we will no longer spend any money at the terrace club. She charged us for three different bills but what I want to know is how that happens without my signature. Awful experience"

  • "Seating not available as requested. Hostess was uninformed and snotty."

  • "This is a great place to dine while enjoying a baseball game. The staff was outstanding as was the view!"
    Dined on 8/13/2014
  • "For the second straight time we were seated at a table where you could not see the game even though the restaurant was 75% empty. We had reservations and were right on time. Eventually we were moved and the people at the club were very nice about it. Nevertheless, why not seat us at the better table from the start?"
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "We reserved our space way ahead of time, and asked even afterward to have our seats changed. In order to do that we would have to close our tab and then go up and be moved to better seating. No effort at all was made to accommodate our request even after we expresse.food was then served and no one was available to move our wishes."
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "After making our reservation months ago, we were seated against a wall with an obstructed view of home plate. We were quite upset and asked to move which evenutally happened."
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "We were never told that our reservation had a specific end time. We got the buffett, (32.00 a person), a beer each and were pretty much asked to leave during our after dinner drink."
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "The staff was friendly and professional as always. The buffet was $32.00 and the feature item was a Reuben sandwich. I take my guests to the Terrace Club for the ambiance and the gourmet food. The buffet menu featuring hot dogs, sausages, chili, and Reuben sandwich was extremely disappointing. I have been a client of the Terrace Club for fifteen years. In the beginning, the menu included prime cuts of meat and seafood along with soups. Now, Rueben sandwiches, turkey breast and Tilapia."

  • "Watching the Indians and munching hot dogs & beer with a view at the Prog. (Jacobs ) Field is fun. But, $32. buffet is a tad expensive. Wished they had more than a few salads, three decker burgers and hot dogs."

  • "They have very limited menu and the food was not very good."

  • "we had 1 pm reservation and got there a bit early..We initially were seated in the back..(not super) The hostess said if better tables opened at 1pm (with no shows) we would be moved and we were second row excllent view of the game. The staff was great and the food (wings) pretty darn good."

  • "The menu is somewhat limited and the food just slightly above average. However, the servers are all very friendly and service is quick. The view is outstanding with a few exceptions where corner tables cut off a portion of the field. Overall, we enjoy going to Terrace Club during Indians games."

  • "The table assigned by Open Table was terrible and I was ready to leave. Fortunately, Mary Jo Mott saw how displeased I was and stepped in and made things right. I will no longer use open table. TC needs to return to the patron friendly reservation system they had in the past. I attend 15-20 games a year at the TC, as a venue for entertaining. This is the second time in the past several weeks that Mary Jo had to straighten out what Open Table messed up. I know others feel the same way. If the system does not change for the better I will reevaluate the using the Indians and the Terrace Club in the future. I have 7 more game scheduled for this year and they will be the deciding factor as to my future relationship with the Terrace Club."

  • "To begin with my party was ushered into a corner table with a VERY limited view of the field. I understand that obviously earlier reservations get the better tables. However, when it becomes readily apparent that these parties are not coming why were we no offered one of them. There were at least 4 tables still empty when we left. Our server never even bothered to refill our drinks the entire time that we were there. Every dish that we ordered with chicken was incredibly dry and lukewarm. Finally, it was at least a ten minute process to get our servers attention and get the bill so we could get out of there and to our seats to actually watch the game. If I wanted to watch the game on tv I would have stayed home, not bought tickets."

  • "The table and view of the game were excellent as well as the food."

  • "The carving station and individual plate preparation station are very good as just as they have been in the past. The fine dining experience is the reason that the Terrace Club is an annual treat for me and my guests. The hot dogs and chili should be left for the club seats."

  • "Buffet was totally overpriced for tough beef tips, dry turkey, and little else that appealed to me. Super servers and attention to dining details a plus. No real variety of sandwiches, just different kinds of hamburgers. Frankly, this is the same story as the ball park offerings. On trips to other teams facilities one finds specialty areas like Target Field's Cuban and Herbeck's restaurant areas. Even your AAA Columbus park has City BBQ, wings, and other offerings that make Progressive Field look "unprogressive". Maybe we hit a bad night at the Terrace Club, but if it wasn't, it is little wonder that the place was about 1/3 full. I have eaten here other years and found it to be much, much better."

  • "I've had dinner at the Terrace Club a number of times. Good food but sometimes the delivery of food takes a fairly long time."

  • "I have been to the Terrace Club more than a few times, and I am never really impressed very much. While the wait-staff appears to be cheerful, and is always helpful - upon gaining their attention, I am always shocked when the tab arrives. Yours is a unique establishment in this area, and unusual pricing is to be expected, but as far as receiving a valued 'return on investment', I must say that I have never been completely satisfied. Wednesday's buffet surely DID NOT warrant a $32.00 price tag, so we opted for Reuben sandwiches, which were second-rate at best. I think your portion control matrix is off, because there was way too little sauerkraut and sauce, and the meat was COLD."

  • "For the 4th time this season the seating was terrible. We could not see home plate. This is frustrating since we have been season ticket holders for several years. We have a few more reservations and if the seating is as poor, we will not be returning next season."

  • "My daughter and I attended the Tribe/White Sox game on Sun. July 13 and we decided to try the Sunday brunch at the Terrace Club. The whole Terrace Club Experience was everything we could have hoped for, and more. The food was fabulous, the staff and service was first-rate! We are going to the Tribe/D-Backs game on Wed. Aug. 13 and have already made our reservation to the Terrace Club. It will now become a regular part of our Tribe game-day experience."

  • "It was so easy. Reservation made online. Parked at the top of parking garage behind scoreboard & walked right into the Terrace Club. It wasn't too crowded or too noisy. Perfect for 2 people (or a group) to grab a bite & have a drink before & during the game. Most importantly the menu had plenty of fresh options for a person like me with food allergies."

  • "It was fun watching batting practice before the game and we had a great view. Kris, our server did a great job of getting us our food quickly and it was a good burger! Get there early and we were in our seats for the first pitch. Will go again!"

  • "This was the first time we have visted the Terrance Club. It was a great evening. The food was very good, we chose not to do the buffet. Our waitress was nice, attentive, and the orders were filled quickly. The most impressive part of our experience was not just the view but the manager was outstanding. She made our experience alot of fun and gave us alot of information that we had no idea about. We would definetly come there again, maybe try for the game and pray we get good seats. Definetly a thumbs up experience!!!"

  • "I have dined at the Terrace Club 3 times this year. Every time, I had a confirmed 5 pm reservation. Every time, I was waiting outside the Terrace Club at 4:45 to enter. Every time, a staff member came outside to say that the Terrace Club would not be opening until 5:30 pm. The last time I had a confirmed 5 pm reservation, I arrived at 5:30 pm and was told that my reservation was canceled because I was more than 15 minutes late. The explanation from the hostess when I explained the history and expressed my frustration was that "she just works there and does what she is told to do." I could have my original table but would need to leave by 6:30 pm for the next seating or I could sit in the bar area. In frustration, I left."

  • "The service was good and the food good. The view of the ball field makes the trip special. The cracker jack sundae at the end of the meal was outstanding enough to be shared with a group."

  • "It is nice to have a nice meal and watch the teams have batting practice, and watch the field get the final touches prior to the game."

  • "What a great way to enjoy an Indians game. Great view of the field, plus they have network broadcast TV screens and sound for close ups and replays. The best of both worlds. Cost is reasonable if you get low cost stadium seats. The overall cost of food and seats is about the same as getting good stadium seats and eating in the stadium or before hand at a local restaurant; and the the food is better. Plus, the Terrace Club is air conditioned. For my wife and I it was a much better experience than sitting in the stadium in field box seats."

  • "Our most recent visit to the Terrace Club was excellent as usual. There's no better way to watch the game or eat before the game. the management and wait staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Staff members like Mary Jo, Annette and Vernon make each visit seem special. The food is always good. And the atmosphere is great. We thoroughly enjoy each chance we have to go to the Terrace Club."

  • "I had not been to the Terrace Club for a number of years. I was disappointed with my experience. The club needs updating with the decor, bathrooms and with their food selections. For the buffet this night they offered chicken breast and turkey breast. I found this odd that the offerings would be poultry in each case. My guests had the chicken "special" of the month. The quality of the food was average. The waiters were not terribly knowledgeable about the menu or the beverage services. Overall our experience was okay but I likely will not return."
