The BBQ calamari appetizer was delicious, and so was the Mushroom soup - a great surprise! The server was attentive and made some great recommendations. The chef accomodated my request on the special (grill the lobster tail vs tempura, as indicated on the menu). It was great. My son enjoyed the Terrace Chicken and my husband thought the Terrace Steak and Egg was terrific. The Food is really good, the service was also. The only thing that I can say bad is that we were seated in the dining room at a table that faces the kitchen that when the doors open are in plain view looking into it. The place was quiet when we arrived at 6:30, but filled up shortly after that. Food was outstanding. Portions were just right(even though I ended up taking some home with me). The service was very good. THis was a girls night out and we were 'catching up' (translate as talking and not ready to order). The waitress respected that and did not bother us until we gave her the sign that we were ready. After we ordered that food arrived quickly and was excellent in both presentation and taste. We live nearby and love The Terrace Cafe. We esp like the breakfast-can order until 2 pm.
