I only hesitate to recommend it for fear that it will be harder to get a reservation...5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat little restaurant. IGreat little restaurant. A relaxing tasty meal!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a very nice diningAlways a very nice dining experience whether for lunch or dinner. The mussels are particularly good. Will try breakfast there one day soon.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent food, prepared withexcellent food, prepared with a sure hand. can be a bit noisy because of the music playing and tables close together. ask for a seat at the window, which is a bit more removed, and definitely quieter.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMCharming, and not noisyThis was a great place in Chevy Chase DC. The food was very fresh and many good specials to choose from. The noise was on the low end so you could actually have a conversation without yelling at each other like in many DC restaurants. It has a small local and French craft-gift shop that is part of the entrance that I found charming and not too cluttered. Just perfect!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love this little bistroWe love this little bistro - excellent food, have been there for lunch and dinner. Now we'll try breakfast!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our meal, and especiallyWe enjoyed our meal, and especially the service and the wine!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were meeting some old friendsWe were meeting some old friends for dinner and decided to give Terasol a try. We were very pleased. The place is different - a bit of an art gallery combined with a restaurant, and with a sort of Paris cafe kind of atmosphere, as well. There was a small band, right next to our table - we were afraid that the noise would be deafening, but it was not. Service was very attentive, the menu had a lot of good choices, and there were several specials. Everything we had was fresh and very good. Bouillabaisse was full of fresh seafood; salmon was very fresh and well prepared. The salads and seafood were all very fresh. Service was attentive and accomodating. They even have a small kids' menu. We will definitely come back.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood gemFriday night hotspot with two excellent jazz guitarists (not always there, I'm told). Food was fine, bistro-plus, not very adventurous but very well executed. A bit underspiced, as if they're cooking for Baptists or something. Nice, fairly reasonable wine list. Excellent service, interesting people-watching. Will definitely go again. All in all, a find.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMTerasol is a treasure! TheTerasol is a treasure! The food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably-priced. And you sit in the midst of an art gallery while you eat - how wonderful! My husband, who is quite fussy about his moules frites, said that the moules frites at Terasol is the best he's had! Terasol is becoming one of our DC favorites -- on our short list of restaurants to visit frequently. It's across the street from Politics and Prose, so a perfect evening would consist of a book talk at P&P followed by a meal at Terasol.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful classic bistro menuWonderful classic bistro menu exceptionally well executed, small but good easily priced wine list.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMTasty food, great staff...try it!Terasol is a lovely cafe with an excellent menu of tasty, well-presented food and an attentive staff. Guests get personal greetings from the owners who make each one feel welcome and special. Most Friday and Saturday evenings there is live music ranging from a single classical guitarist to a jazz duo but all played at a volume that is pleasant and allows a couple to have a conversation without straining to hear each other--and there is no cover charge! A great neighborhood gem that's been discovered, so making a reservation for the weekend nights is a good idea!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMReally enjoyed our first visitReally enjoyed our first visit here. Food was very tasty (steak frites and salmon with herb risotto). We were having an early dinner, so it was not crowded, and we were very pleasantly surprised with live guitar music starting at around 6:30. Service was attentive and the manager (I assume) came by to see how everything was. Will definitely come again.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific well-made bistroTerrific well-made bistro food. The musicians were also a plus!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent mouthful turns to earfulThis was a great spot for a special, romantic lunch. Nice, quiet atmosphere, excellent French food, reasonably priced. The only thing marring the experience was the maitre d's chattiness. He certainly meant well and went out of his way to make our meal special. However, at a certain point his garrulousness became a little intrusive.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth a tryCharming, neighborhood bistro and they sell arts and crafts to boot! I had the steak frites (with truffle oil on the frites) and my companion had the special - eggplant lasagna. we shared a delicious piece of pecan pie. Very friendly and sweet waiter (Danny) was attentive but not annoying. I'll definitely return.11/15/2012 12:00:00 AM
