TenFresh and stylish JapaneseNot sure if I'd call it fusion, but Ten's menu feels like a contemporary update of traditional Japanese food. It's mostly sushi with a few cooked seafood and beef entrees suited for palates both adventurous and less so. My wife had the hanger steak and I had the chirashi. Both were tasty. We missed the Japanese pickles that had been on the appetizer menu on our previous visit (it was some time ago) but the chef was kind enough to put together a special order at our request. The staff discovered the occasion and took special care to ensure the night was wonderful, beginning with a complimentary glass of champaign for each of us. The food was fabulous and the service was excellent. We explored the menu, getting away from down-the-middle sushi (which we love) and delving instead into cod, wagyu beef filet, lobster tempura, and blue crab sashimi among other things. The sushi was very good, but the real star was the sashimi. The lychee martini was delicious, and we all agreed that they had some of the best cocktails in town.
