Ten22First Timer....Loved the Lamb! Prepared perfect. Paper table cloths kept blowing up and had to use table items to keep corners down. Waitress was pleasant and cordial, however a little weak on menu knowledge. Unlike many of its neighbors, it provides organic farm-to-table cuisine in a quiet, spacious and neat environment. The smoked salmon rillette was very tasty, and so was the chicken, garlic & pesto pizza. The steak of the day was a lovely ribeye, which was cooked to perfection but unfortunately covered with far too much garlic. Lots of unusual plates, great appetizers. We had an elk entrée, asparagus starter with egg on top, meatless meatloaf, pizzas are very thin crust and fun combinations. Great beer/wine selections and full interesting bar. Service was great. Outdoor patio is comfortable and warm. I loved how we were served and treated like royalty without mentioning our anniversary... The dinner was very tasteful from the starter to the dessert, everything was extremely good. We will defiantly come back and possibly with a bigger group, seems like it would be fun to be able to try everyone's plates! ;)
oh and I LOVED the mini garden the had growing in the back, you knew then that everything would be good. They have a huge wine menu to choose from and very interesting yummy cocktails!
I defiantly recommend this place for any occasion!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Food in Old Town SacWe were visiting from Reno, looking for a nice place to go for dinner in Sacramento, and stumbled upon Ten22. Reviews looked promising, so we made a reservation and headed over for dinner. What a find! Dinner was incredible! Our food, from the salad with egg and bacon, to my Osso Bucco (which was outrageous) and my wife's Salmon, was excellent. We also had a 2009 Lake Sonoma Zinfandel that was amazing.
Accompanying our dinner, which was in the large outdoor courtyard behind the restaurant, was an excellent guitar player - who played at just the right volume, making this truly an evening to remember. The menu was very well put-together, and all the food was great. The only problem we had was it took a long time to receive the first round of mimosas we ordered, but it was a busy morning, and after that we had no problems. Our waitress was excellent. When it got too sunny on their (beautiful) patio and we were overheating, they very graciously accommodated our request to move inside for dessert.

Our waiter is either not cut out for service in this atmosphere or he is new and needs to improve on being attentive to his customers. He didn't seem to have a deep knowledge of the menu nor did he seem interested in our dinner experience. So a great waiter was all that was missing from adding another star to overall experience. It took a while to get our fish entry but it was fresh and delicious!! I never had Cobia before; it was a white fish and it tastes tender and juicy like Alaska Salmon (which is the best salmon I ever had). ;-)

Our table for eight didn't work out because of there are not enough umbrellas to make it comfortable for everyone seated. Inside seating was fine, all dishes were special, gourmet and tasty. Service was great and they have a very good wine/beer list. They worked very hard to setup our group inside and make us happy. This was quite good.We had a sandwich consisting of thin chicken slices with an in house made cream cheese sauce. That was pretty good.The choice of meeting place was to manage a first date. Ten22 was the answer. Located in Old Sac, it gave us a bit of the tourist experience hot those who wanted to shop a bit. But the restaurant itself is not a tourist trap kind if place. Warm, inviting...they had live music on the evening we went. From flights of wine to an irish coffee, the bar did not disappoint. All the food was excellent... Much sharing of plates around the table! The strawberry salad-yum. Tried the elk, kind of wished I'd ordered it. I had the salmon, excellent. Several had the lamb...not usually my choice, but it was good! Duck, and a classic steak all were ordered. Think you're full? Polenta cheesecake.
