Diner Reviews
  • "I dined here with another couple and am sorry to say we all had a pretty bad experience, specifically with the quality of the food and service, coupled with the ridiculous amount of time in which it took for our food to be served. We waited over 40 minutes between finishing our appetizers and being served our entrees. We never saw our waitress in that period of time, either; she never came back to the table to check on us. In fact, we had to ask another waiter to help us, in trying to track her down, about 15-20 minutes after our food was finally served to us (by the food runners). Unfortunately, I don't think that any of us with be returning to Ten Ten."

  • "A bit loud, no waiting area, bartender took a while for my rosario cocktail, food was great, server seemed bothered and didn't sell anything to us and didnt check up on us. ... dessert was ok ."

  • "We throroughly enjoyed Ten Ten. I was visiting from Atlanta and the restaurant reminded me a bit of the South. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and patient. Everything from appetizer to dessert was delicous."

  • "I found place on the top 50 restaurants in the baltimore area. It is tucked back behind 2 other restaurants so please remember to look for the signs. This is a great place to try something different. The food was stellar and the drinks were good too. However if you are not accustomed to strong drinks then please tell the bartender to go easy on the liquor :o)! I would recommend this restaurant to freinds and family! The chairs are a comfortable white leather and the portion size is great. I even took it home with me for a second meal. When it comes to noise level I think that depends on the large party groups ...some can be roudy and others quiet."

  • "I was a bit disappointed in our dinner for the first time. Short rib was fatty and not tender at all. They did not braise it properly. The sauce was little and bland. How can you mess up a short rib? The grits were cool instead of hot and over all not what I expected. Appetizers were fair at best. Have been several times but this gives us some concerns going back."

  • "Ten10 is a leader among the neighborhood choices of Harbor East. Nestled in between Bagby Pizza Co. and Fleet Street Kitchen, it is a gem especially when discovering the seasonal cocktails and dessert menu. this is a place I would frequent daily due to the ever changing menu of fine cuisine."

  • "Two of us enjoyed our meals, and were very happy with the wine by the glass selection. The food was delicious and innovative, and the service was excellent -- attentive and very pleasant. It's a fun spot, hip with no attitude. We've been before and will be back."

  • "We frequent Ten Ten a lot for brunch. Over the past few months, service had been hit or miss, but Sunday we had amazing service (and it seemed fellow diners in room also had great service). The food was great as usual, with yummy breakfast cocktails! We will return soon"

  • "This was our first time eating at Ten Ten. I was very impressed with their wine selection. I ordered the shrimp and grits minus the pork belly. They had no issue making the change due to my dietary restrictions. My husband had the cod. Both were delicious. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We had Smith Island cake for dessert. Perfect experience. I love the interior decoration of the restaurant, it has a high-end loft feeling and love the exposed brick. Will be back."

  • "We went for brunch. It was ok, better to go here for dinner though. However, the bottom less mimosas and beer-osas make it worth it ;) The crab and prosciutto eggs benedict was probably the best, though most expensive, option. Standard breakfast and french toast were a bit underwhelming. But staff as always was friendly we like the restaurant very much."

  • "I had eaten lunch here with a group and thought I'd try it for dinner. We ate early because we were trying to catch a movie. The service was really good, but our meals (both fish) were lackluster. Just not a lot of flavor. It was fine, just not worth writing home about. We'd eat there again, but probably not the fish entrees."

  • "Loved, loved, loved the fried brussels sprouts. The cheese plate with spiced nuts seemed an add choice for a dessert course. And had I known the nuts were spicy I might not have ordered it. Will definitely go again and try some other menu items."

  • "1010 is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always fresh, tasty and inventive. The service is crack yet friendly. And the vibe is hip without the slightest bit of pretense. Everyone at 1010 wants you to have a great meal, and that's why you will."

  • "We had a great time at Ten Ten. We unfortunately went on a night that they were hosting a very large group and it was very loud. The manager came right over and apologized, which leads me to believe that the environment is usually a bit more quiet. Hence my rating in the noise level, which may not comport with other ratings. The restaurant comped our desert and coffee due to the noise level. Really liked the pork shank and the Smith island desert. We'll be back again."

  • "I booked a large group of 12 for my wife's birthday celebration, following our running the St. Patrick's Day Shamrock 5k. They were very accommodating, service was good, food was decent. The one complaint I had was that I booked the reservation for 2:45, but the kitchen closed at 3. It didn't really cause any problems; we got our orders in and the food came out fine. But why would they allow us to book a 2:45 that close to closing the kitchen?"

  • "This is now our favorite restaurant in the city. Not only do they do local foods and farm to table, they have an excellent menu that blew us away. The beef ribs and coffee carrots were amazing, as was the olive oil mashed potatoes. The decor is also nice and clean and a wonderful little spot just between Harbor East and Fells. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Our only complaint was that the mushroom risotto didn't have enough mushrooms. Otherwise our food was very good. Service was good and they adjusted the air conditioning for us right away. There was a very large noisy group so we did have difficulty hearing each other..."

  • "First time visit and enjoyed it very much. The food is unique and well prepared. It had a lot of taste and the portions were adequate but no large. The squash soup was excellent and my wife who eats rather light and more into vegetables loved the beet salad and she had some shrimp on it. Wine selection, though not very broad, had excellent selections and at realistic prices. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and how things were prepared. We will be going back."

  • "I dined here with my b/f and another couple for restaurant week. We tried the fried oysters, sweet potato tempura, scallops, mac and cheese. The chocolate dessert was really good as well. Everything was really delicious and flavorful. The menu was very interesting and had lots of other options we wish we could have tried. While the restaurant was a little loud, we had a great time and would definitely go back."

  • "Went to Ten Ten after the movies. Went to the movies then walked across the street to a great restaurant! Our waiter was wonderful. We let the manager know and he told us he was new - we would never have known. Great drinks. I had the vodka with strawberries. True to our waiter's word, it wasn't too sweet. The strawberries made for a nice touch but the lime juice added enough tartness to make it a real drink. The menu has a lot of varied offerings. I had the Steak Frites which were divine. The steak was done just as I had requested - a perfect medium rare. We started with the cornmeal oysters-also divine and huge! My husband had fish that he loved. The desserts were great, too. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu offerings!"

  • "Went with three girlfriends for brunch and had a nice time. I had the shrimp and grits. Everything was cooked well, and it had a nice balance of textures with thick crispy bacon along with creamy grits. Servings were a bit small for the price, but on the bright side, I wasn't completely stuffed like after most brunches, AND it left more room for bottomless mimosas. Nice atmosphere, and noise levels making it easy to have a conversation. We had a wonderful server who kept our mimosas full, was courteous and friendly, and wasn't too overbearing. We wound up staying for a while, and I never got the feeling like he couldn't wait for us to get out of there."

  • "I really like the atmosphere of this tucked-away restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special. The mussels were meh. The burger - meh. The beef short ribs - meh. The desserts were awful. The waiter did try to make my incredibly dry cake better so A+ for service. Looking at all the good reviews, I think maybe I just chose all wrong or it was an off day in the kitchen so I'll probably try it again."

  • "Ten Ten offered a very nice ambiance and the selection of food variety was superb. The strive to source as much of the ingredients from local sources, farm to table if you will, is very important to me and they strive to do just that."

  • "Although my food choice was not the best that I could have selected from the menu, the experience overall was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly, I felt taken care of and attended to, but not bothered."

  • "We were so excited to finally get a reservation after weeks of trying. We are so thrilled that our experience lived up to the reputation and exceed our expectations! We had the calamari appetizer to start (tender and juicy instead, light and flaky on the outside, and perfectly seasoned). I had the shrimp and grits and my partner had the rockfish. We're already planning our next visit and what we're going to order next! I'd also like to mention that the atmosphere was wonderful - it's beautiful and chic without being stuffy. And snaps to our server Ryan who was great - the perfectly attentive!"

  • "Food was good but not outstanding. The server did not seem to be as knowledgeable about the food as he should have been. When my husband asked about low-fat items, the server recommended a dish that included mashed potatoes (which certainly could have been made without milk or cream but probably not). When I asked the server to recommend mains, he was vague. I wondered how familiar he was with the cuisine. Courses did arrive promptly."

  • "I went for restaurant week so we chose from the set lunch menu. We also added the tempura calamari as an appetizer. The calamari is terrific. I had the roasted vegetable sandwich with parmesan fries. Both very delicious and plentiful. We were waiting for a little while before our server came to our table, but the restaurant manager compensated us with free desserts. We didn't complain or show any displeasure at the service, but we were more than happy to accept the desserts. Highly recommended!"

  • "This was my first time dining at Ten Ten. I had been wanting to stop in since I learned of it, and I definitely was not disappointed. Everything, and I mean everything was cooked to perfection, from the fried brussel sprouts and duck confit to the shrimp and grits to the flourless chocolate cake. I know I'll be dining here again very soon and bringing some more of my friends with me. Also, the staff was attentive and very personable."

  • "The food was good but a little underwhelming. The drinks were also overpriced due to the size. It was a great place but too pricey for the quality of food."

  • "A hostess directed us to a table, then wasn't sure whether it was ours, left, leaving us standing in the middle of the restaurant, came back after a short while letting us know it was OK to sit. We both ordered from the Restaurant Week menu..appetizers: Brussel's Sprouts and Fraise Salad, entres: Shrimp with Pork Belly and Grits and Scallops/ Sausage and Grits, two glasses of wine. The food was fine with the exception of the grits; small portion and not nearly as smooth as expected. Desserts were very good (Chocolate, Flourless Cake and Ice Cream Sundae). All and all a very nice meal. However, we were billed for a more expensive wine than ordered. When brought to the attention of our waiter, the check was adjusted without apology"
