sandwich and it was superb.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMhidden gemVery good food and hidden away venue that has the eclectic yet sophisticated feel
second time there in 3 weeks. on my list for do again restaurants6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMSmall quiet pleasantWe were visiting the Inner Harbor area and found this restaurant at the end of a small alley. Brick and metal interior decor is interesting, bright, a bit energizing. Food showed creativity without pretension. Outdoor tables noted but it was raining for our visit.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Caesar salad and the scallopsThe Caesar salad and the scallops were delicious. The food is always presented well and adds a visual delight to the great flavor of well prepared food.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulI had reserved a table for ten and forgot to add myself and my husband to the number. When I called two hours before our reservation, the hostess was so kind and assured me she would make it work and we would have plenty of room. She could not have been kinder. As I mentioned we were a big group, but the service was perfect. The food delicious. My husband is a vegetable grower and the seasonal menu is to be celebrated. All of us live in Baltimore and definitely said this a place to come back for! Thank you.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMTen Ten Continues to SatisfyAlthough I think of it as a dinner place, Ten Ten turns out to be a great place for a business lunch. The food is reliably good and was served promptly, and the check was lower than anticipated.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for my girlfriend'sWe went for my girlfriend's birthday on a Monday and couldn't have been happier. Two apps/1 entree/2 sides/1 dessert and a bottle of wine (half price on monday) our bill was still under 100. The place was quiet, but I'm assuming it was because it was monday. Will definitely go back. Server (forget her name) was great and personable!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFarm to table goodnessAnother great meal at TenTen featuring a memorable earthy and fresh salad with beets, horseradish and pea shoots drizzled with a carrot puree and punctuated by a decadently re-imagined Reese's peanut butter cup for dessert. Sadly the halibut was sold out, but the steak frites with duck fat compensated nicely. Perfect atmosphere for a girls gathering over many glasses of well-recommended wine and a noise level that didn't make us (or our neighbors) uncomfortable when our laughter got a little louder as the evening progressed.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time we tried the brunch...loFirst time we tried the brunch...loved it! Great place.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMReally enjoyed the varietyReally enjoyed the variety of foods offered on the menu. Especially liked that many items were made on-site; produce from local farm, etc. Food delicious and beautifully presented. Wait staff knowledgeable. REALLY liked that we were not rushed, that we could speak in low to moderate voices! The one vegetarian in our party had many options. Can't wait to return.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMust have been a bad night.Very nice restaurant. We thought the wine list was especially well thought out, with many selections by the glass. The shrimp and grits was a very tasty dish. We also liked the calamari with 3 dipping sauces. However, we did experience two problems: first, my glass of cava was flat; second, my husband's steak frites was already cold when served. The wiatress and management were very apologetic and handled our complaint well. Based on that, we will definitely give the restaurant another chance.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently GreatSame as previous reviews... great food, service, ambience.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service! Two of us had dinner and Alain was our server. He was fabulous...attentive without hovering and ready with helpful tips. We had tempura calmari (light and tender), ramp toasts (delicious!), and lamb ragout (luscious comfort food). The only miss was the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were small and WAY overcooked. Another plus was that we showed up on half-price wine night and had two terrific wines that we would never have ordered at full price.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOnce again great service!Ten Ten never fails to provide excellent service. The shrimp and grits alone is reason to make a trip to Ten Ten.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time dinerWent to Ten Ten in a part of 4 and we liked it a lot. The food was tasty and the service was good. Some of the people in my party said their food was overly salty. My shrimp and grits were yummy. I also tried the scallops which were good, however the portion was on the smaller side. I look forward to going back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingly deliciousThis was our fourth time to Ten Ten and I have to to say it keeps getting better. We had the calamari tempura, shrimp and grits, scallops, Brussels sprouts, and steak frites; all were great. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, cocktails, and service as well.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time thereBusiness lunch with our group of six was better than expected. Food was delish, if a little slow to come to us. Can't be in a hurry there. It's a gorgeous space in the old Bagby furniture building. Parking was easy but there also is a whole foods across the street with free parking garage. Great location, friendly staff. Our table was waiting when we arrived. Thank you, Open table!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMChef had found some rampsChef had found some ramps hiking and made a great appetizer with them. Dinner was great, but dessert options were uninspired.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMSo promising, but ...This restaurant was disappointing because it looked so promising at the beginning of the meal. The old warehouse is architecturally cool and we liked the decorating, etc. Our appetizer and salad were served promptly, but then it was another 30 minutes before our entrees arrived - seafood stew and gnocchi. The staff/management seemed unable to control the flow. The seafood stew broth was not very flavorful (my husband's meal) and the gnocchi (my meal) was wonderfully light with a delicious beurre blanc fondue, but it was overpowered by celery that was excessive and undercooked. We did not stay for dessert because of the slow service. I had thought I might take a friend there, but thinking back on the service issues, I don't think so.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service were excellent.Food and service were excellent. Decor and atmosphere were fun. It was just too loud, and there was another table about a foot away. Not the best place for a quiet dinner date.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic brunch. lobsterfantastic brunch. lobster benedict was outstanding and bottomless mimosa4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat mimosas; refills wereGreat mimosas; refills were right on and special appetizer of oysters were good. Everything was well-prepared, and the beer-mosa is a must-try alternative to regular mimosas. A little pricey, but a good for a special occasion.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMTen Ten is a 10!Ever since my first visit to Ten Ten, I've been repeatedly impressed by their food, service and atmosphere.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing bar!!!Everyone is very nice. Bar tender is a bit of a prude, however warms up after you get to know him.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMMenu looks and sounds fabulousMenu looks and sounds fabulous but the meals itselves tasted just ok, not spectacular.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful EasterWe had a wonderful Easter brunch at Ten Ten! It was our first visit to the restaurant and we will definitely return. The food was amazing and the service was excellent.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat More Needs to be Said?Outstanding food, presentation and service. No need to say more.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently Amazing Appetizers !Our 2nd time at Ten Ten. All in all, a great dining experience. This place EXCELS with appetizers and small plates. I have a small appetite, so i didn't even order an entree, but the 3 others in our group did. The steak was 'okay' but nothing special; the Rockfish was 'really good' (2 of our group had this), the desserts (peanut butter cup, ice cream sundae, poundcake w/mango sauce and ??? (I can't remember what she had because she gobbled every last bite!) were all delicious. But the appetizers (fried brussel sprouts -- and I HATE brussel sprouts!), bacon wrapped dates (I know, this is becoming a bit standard these days, but they were perfectly prepared!) & something else that I can't remembers, were absolutely delicious.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Brussels sprouts wereThe Brussels sprouts were amazing. We found the rest of the menu very limiting. I was fascinating to hear about the restaurants private farm. Was hoping to find more vegetable options.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough it took a bit toAlthough it took a bit to get our meal, the food was excellent.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA great neighborhood findSustainable food never tasted better. We had an assortment of entrees and appetizers. If you've never tried duck fat fries, you have not lived. They are exquisite. The chicken liver pate, among the best I've had. At the table we also had shrimp and grits--perfect portion size, although the shrimp served head on might be off-putting to folks who are not true foodies. The scallops--perfectly prepared and just the right portion. Desserts? They have the best. The cranberry panne cotta--melt in your mouth deliciousness. The homemade chocolate ice cream--hands down the best ice cream any of us has ever tasted. This is an exquisite restaurant.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have had several birthdayWe have had several birthday lunches there for people here at Laureate and everything has always been wonderful.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable dining experienceHad the most wonderful dining experience as TenTen last week. The food was wonderful, Tues is $1 oyster night. Everyone completely enjoyed their entrees, my sea trout was wonderful. The desserts were the best part of the evening. We decided to order one of each and share around the table with our party of 5. Each dessert was better than the last. I can't wait to go back.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMService above the rest!My beau and I went to TenTen to celebrate a birthday, and our experience was beyond our expectations. We had selected TenTen for their Winter Wine Celebration Prix Fix menu. Having decided what to order based on the online menu, we were disappointed to see the item we wished to order not on the menu. We expressed this to our server, but placed our orders for other items instead, after which she spoke with a manager, which we had told her this wasn't necessary. The manager came to our table mid course, and brought with her apologies a tasting plate of our desired entree. This was completely unexpected, and demonstrated a level of service that is rare. The overall service experienced coupled with the amazing food will make us loyal customers.3/2/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been to Ten Ten multipleI've been to Ten Ten multiple times. I tried the Restaurant Week menu this time. I ordered the tuna tartare, shrimp and grits, and hazelnut bombe. All of it was very good and beautifully presented, but I think that the shrimp and grits were the major standout. The grits are very creamy and they give you a cube of pork belly with it, just because it's so awesome. I almost always order coffee when I'm there, and the coffee is very solid.1/29/2013 12:00:00 AMHad the sweet potatoe breadHad the sweet potatoe bread pudding dessert.... Best EVER12/29/2012 12:00:00 AMWe were there on a SundayWe were there on a Sunday night - my best friend and I - celebrating our mutual birthdays. Our waiter, David, was amazingly helpful. He answered all of our menu and wine questions. He made recommendations, suggestions and appeared at all the appropriate times. He even bought our dessert! I had previously sat at the bar for drinks and dessert, and knew I wanted to come back for my birthday. The food was great, and the feeling of the restaurant was warm. It was perfect for what we wanted - we could hear ourselves talk and enjoyed the evening out - a rare event for her!12/16/2012 12:00:00 AMA rare great findWe literally stumbled into this great restaurant. We were new visitors to Baltimore on a cold Monday when we found this spot and were we ever so happy to find it. Ten Ten is a beautiful, trendy relaxing spot with a deep menu full of wonderful tastes and broad selections. It took us awhile to make our selections and we were happy to have our waiter help us. The braised short ribs over grits is amazing and the quiches is light and great. The gnocchi entree was layered with flavor and the steak was perfectly done. However, the best part of our meal was desert. The citron tart is so very good we all fought to eat it while the chocolate chase with dehydrated chocolate was outrageous.
We cannot wait to be back in Baltimore to go ba3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMTen Ten brunch receives perfect 10This was my first visit to Ten Ten and I highly recommend it. My husband and I enjoyed their Sunday Brunch. The coffee and bottomless mimosas were fantastic. I ordered the Lobster Benedict which was served over focaccia bread rather than traditional english muffins and the dish was utterly fantastic. My husband ordered the Ten Ten breakfast which includes eggs, homemade bacon to die for, a homemade biscuit and potatoes. We added the homemade sage sausage which was also wonderly seasoned and delightful.2/24/2013 12:00:00 AMTEN TEN was a ton of fun.TEN TEN was a ton of fun. We started out at the bar and enjoyed amazing cocktails. Then we had wonderful apps, dinner, and dessert at a table. The lobster mac & cheese app was wonderful, and the scallops with succotash entree was fantastic. The desserts were also really tremendous. I was WOWed by the wine list. There were some quite unique wines available by the glass and bottle.11/17/2012 12:00:00 AM
