Ten Ten Tapas is Vancouver’s hottest new Jazz Bistro. Live jazz and West Coast cuisine served tapas-style.

Take in the sounds of award winning hornman Gabriel Mark Hasselbach at Sunday’s Jazz Brunch and Thursday’s Rockin’ the Ribjoint Blujazz night. Cory Weeds plays sax on Wednesdays, and Rossi brings the nuevo flamenco with his fiery guitar and steel drum on Fridays. Saturdays features Vancouver's finest jazz pianists and vocalists.

Try the diverse menu, featuring West Coast style tapas, salads and entrees. Ten Ten Tapas features wine and bourbon flights and a unique selection of bourbon cocktails.

Look for restaurant signs at 1000 Beach Ave, just a few yards east of the Burrard Bridge (near the Vancouver Aquatic Centre). Just walk through the plaza and down to the Seawall or even take the Aquabus across from Granville Island!

We had based our choice of restaurant on the online menu that was no longer being used and there was no note that things were being changed. My husband found a piece of plastic in his fruit salad and nothing was done about it. We would not go out of our way to return."

The idea of them men not bad but several issues had made my experience not very pleasant. 1) Long waiting times for the food, the restaurant was half full. 2) The Rissoto was cold when finally arrived to my table 3) mussels were dry and tasteless. 4) very poor quality in the coffee and dessert. 5)the music was nice."

  • "We've never heard of this little gem until we arrived. It was really intimate for our valentine's day dinner. The Flaminco Guitarist was friendly and added an all exclusive getaway vibe. The portions were surprisingly small which explained why the menu prices were also minimal. Give it a try!"

  • "My wife and I tried Ten-Ten Tapas during Dine Out Vancouver because it coincided with a performance by jazz vocalist and pianist Jennifer Scott. She was great, but the noise level from other diners made her playing difficult to hear on occasion. Ten-Ten is trying to be a jazz house, but it might be more successful on weeknights when a less boisterous clientele would be there. We both had the ribs special which we enjoyed along with the suggested wine pairing. They offer a nice selection of better BC wines and their suggested pairings with each course were very nice. We'll go back again, just not on a Saturday night."

  • "Found out about this gem from Dineout Vancouver. What Vancouver has long needed is a small, intimate restaurant that played real live cool jazz music. Ten Ten fits the bill perfectly! The place is very charming, well decorated, the food was fantastic (ribs and panna cotta were exceptional) and the service was extremely nice and friendly. Nothing pretentious...just a few people that want to share good food and music in a great location facing the water. The music was fantastic....Gabriel Hasselbach and Adam Rohrlick played jazz and blues that night and were great. Great summertime location and we can't wait to go back, especially for the latin/steel band music on Friday. Keep up the great job...and looking forward to returning very soon!"

  • "Before going I had read reviews which indicated that they had had problems which the Manager said had been addressed and they now had a new chef. My Wife had Mussels followed by the salmon and then panna cotta, I had pea soup, baby ribs and white chocolate bread pudding. The soup could have been hotter with more seasoning, the ribs were juicy, tasty and was a generous portion served with mashed potatoes the pudding was to die for . My Wife's mussels were plump and tasty, the salmon flaky and moist and the panna cotta was creatively plated with a hint of mint and topped with chocolate. There was a great saxophonist playing in the background and the waiter was attentive but not intrusive, in conclusion a great find."

  • "Tiny but delightful. Looking forward to the patio. Derek, the Maitre D' was awesomely helpful arranging parking. We 2 enjoyed the $28 flat-rate dinner with $17 flat-rate pairings. Great presentation and flavours. Ribs portions were surprisingly ... huge! The wine pairings were well considered, and the Elephant Bay cherry port with dessert was superb. Really enjoyed Luis Geraldo playing and singing light jazz. Also loved the chandelier fashioned from inverted crystal stemware. Looking forward to returning to work our way through the menu."

  • "We came to this restaurant through the "Dine Out Vancouver" festival hoping to find a great tapas experience. However the restaurant's name doesn't have anything to do with what they serve. Why call a restaurant after the name "tapas" if that's not what it is about? Anyways the food was not that great and their option of wines to match the dinner, was overly to expensive compared to what we got served. You'll be better of buying the wine outright by the glass or bottle. The overall experience felt like they don't put to much effort since they already are in a great touristic area and their flow of customers is guaranteed."

I choose the ribs which were amazing and would highly recommend. I enjoyed the wine selection and was impressed that you had a couple of options in how you could order (wine flights for example) There was live music but the sound was not overpowering. The staff were very friendly but not overbaring. I would definately dine there again and would reccomend it to friends."

This combined with quite dried out ribs has made me uninterested in returning, even though the restaurant is beautiful and the staff were good."

  • "My girlfriend and I wanted to try somewhere different for dinner during Dineout 2014. We decided to give Ten Ten Tapas a try. We chose our items off the Dineout Menu and also chose the sampler wine pairings to go with our meal. The service was quite slow to begin with as our wine and appetizers took quite some time (15 minutes or so) before they came out. Once the appetizers and initial wines were brought out things seemed to flow a lot smoother. The food was good and everything was fresh and tasty. The bourbon ribs were delicious and very tender! We also enjoyed the jazz musician but wished he played a longer first set or came back sooner from his break. We'd like to come back and try the more traditional tapas offerings."

  • "Went for Sunday Jazz Brunch. Had an awesome experience. Service, Food, Ambiance all were stellar. Nothing like LIVE JAZZ with Gabriel Mark Hasselbach to warm your soul on a cold day. I will return for other events (live music from Wed - Sun), dinner and even drinks at the bar. The decor is beautiful and such detail was taken even in the washroom. Fantastic.   • "We ordered extra bread that did not come so we cancelled it since we had already finished our meal. The coffee was fairly weak. This is the opinion of 3 out of the 5 people who drink coffee. Just too busy for the servers to attend to everyone i.e. in refilling water, coffee and there were no serving utensils with the tapas and it was a long time until we received them. This made it very awkward for our group to share the plates. (so the food started to cool off) The bill - Accounting seemed to be a bit of a problem as to correct calculations. The food is okay but really nothing special or outstanding - all of the dishes we tried could easily be made at home. The tables are so close to one another that you can practically reach out to the person at the next table. The view is nice, but for the price and the trouble, not really worth it."

  • "The service was knowledgeable and friendly. Dealt with some other very demanding customers in a friendly professional manner. Salad was okay - not outstanding. The main dish - salmon and mushrooms - were delicious! The salmon was moist and tender with only a hint of lemon sauce to heighten the flavour. Excellent!   • "The food selection is excellent, dishes are artfully presented, and very tasty Portions to share are perfect. We particularly commented how nice it was to have low background music, making our night of catchin up very easy. This alone is a number 10 on my list for recommending Ten Ten Tapas to friends. We were there Thursday night, did find the service quite slow, a comment to the server regarding that, it was explain we all showed up at the same time, I do not think that would deter me from going back, it just gave us more time to chat."

  • "On a cold December night four of us went to the Ten Ten Tapas restaurant. We enjoyed the decor and style of the restaurant and looked forward to a delightful evening. The food was tasty and flavorful, and well presented. However, we waited quite a long time for our food, even though the restaurant was not that busy. The servers were efficient and pleasant but when we asked to be moved to another table because we were very cold, seated by the glass doors, we were told that the restaurant was going to be completely full and there were no other tables available, though they never filled up. We would have liked staff to try to make us more comfortable, as the cold drafts really affected us and we were too cold to really enjoy our dining out."

  • "Bought the coupon online and tried the 3-course menus. Food is delicious, seating is very comfortable. Big portion for tapas. Good value for money paid. Only one Quinoa salad available. Ask for beets salad, but they told us it was not in season, &I just had that for lunch in another restaurant. The only starch available is only polenta. Should restock the ingredients, or take it off the menus."

  • "My husband has a nut allergy. Unfortunately our first order was bruschetta which did not indicate that it had nuts. However, it included pesto with pinenuts and my husband had an allergic reaction. Of course the staff were apologetic (no compensation provided by the restaurant though) and fortunately my husband's allergy isn't extreme but we expect nuts to be called out on menus. Otherwise the food was pretty tasty, especially the lamb special with apricots, pear and prunes. The wine list is passable. This is an average restaurant but could be so much better with a little effort."
