At Ten Tables JP, our modest size and open kitchen create an opportunity for you to enjoyably be part of the experience. Our newly expanded space, which created a stylish but laid-back bar, is warmly appointed with reclaimed wood and exposed brick, giving us a decidedly European feel. Whether you just stop in for a drink and light bite at a high-top in the bar, or stay for a full meal at one of our linen-draped dining room tables, you will come to enjoy a sophisticated and stylish space that all at once feels as familiar and comfortable as home.

Every Tuesday our Wine Director, Stan Hilbert & Chef Eric Cooper pair four courses of food with four wines for $45/person. Each week we feature a different region. We can accommodate any dietary or allergy needs. We do not offer our regular menu on Tuesdays.

Every Wednesday we feature our "3 for $38" menu. Pick an appetizer, entree and a dessert for $38/person. We don't offer tasting menus on Wednesdays.

  • "The best aspect of Ten Tables JP is probably the ambiance, in both the bar and the restaurant. It is muted, just right for an intimate dinner, but a little spare and lacking in warmth (both literal and figurative). The proximity of the kitchen and numerous servers (particularly considering the size of the place) is a little distracting. The food was well-prepared, and not bad, but below my expectations, based on a previous visit to the Cambridge restaurant a number of years ago. I had the radicchio salad, which was a meager portion and lacking in texture, but nicely flavored with herbs, and the mushroom ragout, which was hearty and pretty good. I'm not sure that I would return to this location of Ten Tables. Uninspired cuisine."

  • "Loved everything from the time I sat down to the end. The staff were warm, friendly,conscientious but not in your face. There recommendations were great. We had the charcuterie to start with the radicchio salad and OMG it was great. For our main course we had hanger steak and trout. No complaints with eithor of these. The flavors they blended with these two items were highly complementary. Lastly dessert were an assortment of their own ice creams. I would definately go back again."

  • "The pleasure of dining at Ten Tables began the moment we walked in the door and were greeted pleasantly by the bartender/host. We were shown to our table without delay. Our waiter was helpful and patient; she provided perfect wine recommendations for our dinner choices, fielding our questions on the entrees and appetizers calmly and in a manner that indicated she was interested in informing us, not merely going through the motions. The food was superb and plated beautifully; the timing of the course servings couldn't have been better. This JP restaurant deserves all the raves it receives; I'm pleased to add mine to that chorus."

  • "Service: The waiter forgot my boyfriends drink and he had to ask him again for it to be delivered. After nibbling on our appetizer, we felt a little rushed with the waitress trying to take the board from us before our next course. The chef's that were in front of us were not acknowledging. Yes, I understand they should focus on their work but they are skilled enough to interact and cook...that's what I imagine. Food: Complimentary bite we received was shredded carrot with thyme..really? I was just disappointed. And the charcuterie had no dimension. Some slices of bacon, ham, a terrine...overpriced and not exciting. The hake with wild rice and clams, YUM. And the steak, delicious."

  • ""Paring Wine with Chinese Food" was another winner this past Tuesday at TT's. I enjoyed all four courses. My favorites was Marinated Shrimp with Yard Long Beans & Winter Melon paired with a 2012 Ferretto 23 Bindelli Minardi (Marche). We have reservations for next month's "Obscure Grapes"."

  • "Great evening at 10 Tables. Very yummy food, expertly prepared. Novel flavor combinations. Only the desserts were slightly too adventurous for one of us, but in the end, even they enjoyed what we ordered. The menu is constantly changing with the seasons, but is consistently excellent. And we're really grateful for the embrace of mocktails here. Having 5 on the menu, plus a bartender willing to be creative if you want something else, makes it easy and fun to have a "dry" night out. Gives Guilia in Cambridge competition for our special evenings out."

  • "An amazing gem in the middle of JP. We just moved to the neighborhood from NYC and we are very pleasantly surprised. Not only is the food amazing and fresh-- who says don't order the homemade pasta?It's fantastic! And they change up the menu regularly-- so for the 5 times we've visited-- it's been different each time. There are a few of the classic favorites still on the menu, but all in all, it's a place you can visit regularly and not get tired of the menu. They also have rotating specials during the week. The staff is AMAZING. Great hospitality and service. High quality at a local gem."

Had an early reservation but the restaurant quickly filled with mainly a younger crowd which probably accounted for the "energetic" noise level. We all ordered the Tasting Menu which was outstanding. Four delightful courses including charcuterie, fish course, steak course, dessert, plus a complimentary spoonful of delicious carrot salad. The Tasting Menu depends on the Chef's choices but they do accommodate food allergies and preferences. Definitely recommend it for a special occasion."

  • "This was our first time in the original Jamaica Plain restaurant, though we've eaten at Ten Tables in Cambridge several times. The food is equally good here -- the hake with clams, chorizo, capers, and wild rice was outstanding. Having an open kitchen (which is TINY) in a small space could be distracting but isn't. We have found TT Cambridge unpleasantly noisy, to a point where it interferes with enjoying the dinner. JP, even when full, doesn't seem as loud -- we'd return here rather than Cambridge."

The food is great and the wine service is wonderful. Stan is full of ideas for wine pairings and just an all-around lovely guy, who makes you feel comfortable and happy you chose to eat at Ten Tables once again.   • "I've had several delicious dinners at Ten Tables, but this was by far my favorite. I enjoy the Tuesday Wine dinner because of the element of surprise- it's a chef's tasting, the price- 4 courses for $45 and 4 wine pairings (can't beat that!), the staff is on top of their game and incredibly attentive. This particular meal featured a dessert that upon reading the description, I couldn't figure out how it would all come together- sesame ice cream with a spicy strawberry puree/sauce, and a mustard seed wafer--- OUTSTANDING. The entire meal was fantastic, but the dessert made it so memorable. Thumbs up TT!"

  • "V-day fell on a weekend this year, and while my girlfriend and I couldn't be together day-of, I booked a reservation for the following Sunday. Ten Tables is cozy, intimate, with a unique menu filled with unorthodox twists on familiar dishes. The service was professional; I got the sense that everyone there knew what they were doing. The food was excellent; we had an appetizer, main course, desert, cocktails and coffee. I ate everything that was put in front of me; portions were perfect, and everything tasted great. Perhaps best of all, I didn't break the bank; prices are quite reasonable for a nice night out. Highly recommended, but be sure to book in advance; the restaurant is too tiny for walk-ins unless you're going for the bar."

  • "Have been going here for quite a while for their Tuesday night theme dinners. The food is generally very good or superb until the fourth course. The desserts generally are not as creative or intriguing as the appetizer, soup or entree courses. They seem to be an afterthought. Last night was no exception: chocolate soup with some unknown tidbit thrown in. Certainly will be back. Usually the first three courses and the wine parings are interesting enough to return."
