I had a wonderful experience at
Ten Tables this past Friday evening. We made a late reservation at 9 pm for dinner, and the restaurant was as lively as if it were actually dinner time. I was fully impressed with each dish we ordered, most notably the boar sausage appetizer, the scallops with spicy carrot puree, and the goat cheesecake. The cheesecake in particular will make me come back to Ten Tables as soon as possible! The table next to mine did the chef's tasting menu, which seemed like it was well worth the money. I will likely take this approach next time for the smaller portions and greater variety of dishes."

Had been wanting to try 10 Tables
for months and finally made it there. Ordered the Chef's Tasting Menu with wine pairings. Excellent value, food was inventive but not too precious and pours were generous on the wine pairing."

Everyone raves about this place,
so had to try it. We did the Sunday pre-fix menu which was surprisingly diverse, including veggie options. Soups and salads were very good. Steak was chewy which was disappointing. But, dessert made up for it! Atmosphere is ok, not sure I would call it romantic or anything. Its below level so no big windows or anything. And tables are pretty tight."

We chose Ten Tables for a romantic
date, on the recommendation of friends. It was our first time at the restaurant. The servers were very friendly and prompt, and inspired us to try the chef's tasting menu. It was delightful, creative and delicious. My date cannot eat gluten and she was delighted to find so many gluten free options on the menu, and our tasting menu was entirely gluten free. We had a really special night and I would recommend it to my friends as well."

I've been to Ten Tables in
Cambridge twice, and in Provincetown once. Always enjoyable. This most recent visit was lovely, the food was very good, and the service good and friendly. My one complaint is that we really felt rushed. Our reservation was at 5:45, and the place became pretty crowded shortly after we arrived. Still, when you have a reservation you should expect that you can linger a bit. I know it's a small place and on a Saturday night turnover is brisk, but still, I should be able to take a breath between courses. This is why you don't go to a restaurant on Saturday night, I suppose. Overall, would recommend--on a weeknight!"

The shrimp with chorizo appetizer
was exquisite, and the steak frites excellent as usual."

We enjoyed ten tables (on Cragie
St, Cambridge) for a special night out dinner. They had more like 17 tables :-) The restaurant was not packed on our Thursday evening visit. I was the first one there at 6pm and sat at the bar until my wife arrived. The bar is also cozy and if you are lucky it would be a nice spot to eat at the bar, but maybe 6 seats available. I did find that the breeze will reach you on these unusually cold nights if you sit at the bar, by the door. They had a great porter on tap, which was kind of like a black IPA. And while we reviewed the extensive wine list, it was a craft beer type of night. Porter for me, Lagunitas IPA for her. The appetizers and entrees were wonderful, coming from a menu that changes daily."

Informal feel to 10 tables, but
the food was very classy and delicious, making for a great experience overall. The food was prepared as ordered and was unusually crafted so there were pleasant surprises for most of the dishes. We had some vegetarians and some who had steak or chicken. All around raves. The desserts were outstanding. It was better than Rialto where we dined the night before!s"

We didn't have enough time for the
chef's tasting menu, butinstead enjoyed delicious salads with bread to die for - a wonderful glass of the special weekend wine from their cellars - and a fantastic entree. Everything was divine"

Never get tired from Ten tables --
they consistently deliver amazing food..It's one of a very few restaurants where I don't shy away from trying new things knowing they'll be great!"

Came here for Valentine's day.
Excellent food, very well prepared and a lovely tasting dinner. Service was quick and attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. I just wish my arm hadn't been pressed against the wall! Cozy may be an understatement."

Rarely, do I ever experience a
restaurant where very item presented was creative, fresh and exceptional!"
Dined on 2/13/2014
It's our first time at this
restaurant so we decided to let the chef decide on our menu for the night. The choices were great and great quality. It was a good deal; 4 course for $48. We'll definitely come back to try the regular menu another time."
Dined on 2/7/2014
This is a lovely, intimate, and
creative restaurant. The food was fantastic, and service was great, and the setting is tasteful and understated."
Dined on 2/7/2014
A small menu but with a good
listings of foods that you would want to choose from, whether it be seafood, meats of vegan. In addition a pris fixe chef choice tasting menu is offered with the food tailored to the guest's taste of food and/or allergies. Have tried it in the past with several guests and, it has been a satisfying experience. The wait staff provided an excellent service. The wine list is small but good."
Dined on 2/4/2014
The food was excellent. Service
was a bit awkward and disjointed. I wasn't entirely sure who was our actual waiter/waitress, as many different people checked in. The awkwardness had to do with how close the tables were, frequently the servers helping the tables on either side of us felt like they were in our laps. Might be better to have fewer tables since they are so close together. It's been a few years since we went to the JP location, but I feel like I liked the ambiance a bit more. That said, food was spectacular and the Cambridge Sour was a fantastic cocktail! The detailed parking information on the website was much appreciated."
Dined on 2/1/2014
Everything was terrific as always,
we had beets, lamb ribs, pasta, scallops and chicken and everything was spectacular."
Dined on 1/31/2014
This was a wonderful dinner
experience all the way around! A friend and I ordered the chef's menu - four courses, chosen by the chef. It was delicious. The service, too was fantastic. I highly recommend Ten Tables."
Dined on 1/29/2014
Lovely dinner; bright, vibrant
flavors, well-chosen menu sure to please all tastes. Excellent service, relaxed atmosphere with a nice vibe. Bar space a little cramped and no waiting area to speak of, but the dining room is comfortable and feels spacious. Highly recommended."
Dined on 1/25/2014
We had a delicious meal, with
great service in a peaceful, cozy ambiance. We did need to take an earlier reservation (5:45 PM on a Saturday) but got in with a week's notice. All around the food was well-prepared and interesting, from flat iron steak to scallops to pork shank. We received competent direction with the wine, as well, and our waitress was attentive without hovering. We will return!"
Dined on 1/25/2014
We enjoyed the meal a great deal,
but the room was tight and a little too loud. We ate late and as the room cleared out the noise level decreased significantly, but it was quite loud when we first arrived and conversation was difficult."

We had a wonderful dinner here to
celebrate our son's birthday. My husband had the three course prix fixe dinner which he loved and I had the 'Gulf of Maine hake with roasted fingerlings' which was cooked perfectly. My son had the scallops - they disappeared within minutes of their arrival. We shared an appetizer of duck and pork pate - it was excellent - and the men each had the bean and bacon soup, a good choice on a bitter cold night. I had the chocolate terrine with salt toffee ice cream for dessert - so rich and good - and I always have a cup of their outstanding cappuccino; it is the best in Boston and a wonderful way to end a fabulous meal. The service was excellent - the wait staff is well-informed, unruffled and attentive."
Dined on 1/23/2014
I enjoyed that there is an
affordable vegetarian tasting menu even though we ultimately ordered a la carte. There are not a lot of vegetarian options, but everything was wonderful and thoughtfully made, which I really appreciated."
Dined on 1/18/2014
My girlfriend and I came here for
the vegetarian tasting menu. While I generally don't like surprises this was definitely a pleasant one! The appetizer, soup, main course and dessert were all delightful, and well worth the price. In addition, the organic wine pairing worked perfectly with all the courses (they have a 2-for-1 special on the pairing on weekday nights). The atmosphere was charming and quiet, and the service, impeccable. A dinner at Ten Tables is definitely a great way to celebrate a special occasion!"
Dined on 1/15/2014
We used to like this place back
when it was Craigie St. The interior hasn't changed much and happily, the food remains reliably good. It's a cozy space, with tables close together, so it can be a bit noisy depending on the diners at the next table. The service is attentive and professional, well-versed re: the menu and wine list, and generally unhurried. The food is beautifully presented. Some dishes shine more than others. Surprisingly, the greens with apple and blue cheese is a winning starter that we normally might have passed over, but it is outstanding in its combination of flavors and presentation. Recommended for a grown-up date night."
Dined on 1/11/2014
Can't stress enough how good the
food was in terms of taste, presentation at a very reasonable price. Absolutely Amazing"
Dined on 1/11/2014
So the service we got wasn't the
best, and if you're not in the mood for wine then you're kind of out of luck here. However, from a food perspective this place was really good. I had the bean and ham soup to start and my main course was the salad. The food packed so much flavor and was excellent. My colleague had the chicken dish and compared it to only one other chicken dish that he ever had that was outstanding. If you want a special occasion location, or just want to eat delicious food, then check this place out. It says 10 tables because it is very quaint inside."
Dined on 1/7/2014
This was our first time dining
here. The atmosphere and service is comfortable. I had the pork shank the meat fell off the bone tender and the vegetables and sauce it was served with made the flavor mix wonderful. My nephew had the sirloin which we debated might have been one of the best ever. It was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The pommel frites it is served with are amazing."
Dined on 1/8/2014
My daughter recommended this great
restaurant. As a party of 5 We had the Sunday three course special, we ordered different things and got to try a lot of different things by sharing. From start to finish every morsel was a bite of pleasure... Was a great way to celebrate our birthdays"
Dined on 1/5/2014
My husband and I go on special
occasions because we love the chef menu and wine pairing (so we need a car service to bring us home). This year we did the New Years tasting and wine pairing. The 3 course meal was amazing along with the portion size. We will definitely be back for the 2 for 1 paring tuesday! If you want to feel like a foodie but without being a foodie, come to Ten Table, your taste buds will thank you."
Dined on 12/31/2013
It was a freezing night, so the
coziness of the place was quite welcoming. Service was good and accommodating, but the pace was unnecessarily fast. Had the Chef's Tasting in a vegan version --- 4 courses, all very good to excellent, especially a Kale & Cippolini Risotto. In the basement of an apartment building, the look and feel of the place does not manage to rise above that. Happy to go back anytime, but only because the food is A+."
Dined on 1/3/2014
Nice ambiance and atmosphere. My
problem is the quality of the food for how much we paid. We went for NY's Eve dinner and did the $75 fixed menu, which is a standard 3 course menu, w a $39 bottle of wine. One dish in particular was lovely; it was the gnocchi which was done more creatively in comparison in how it's usually prepared. The pork shank, the halibut entrees were fine, but meddled with forgettable vegetables (a sea of them too that were under both dishes; we both agreed added nothing to the taste and texture and balance to the dishes). Again, the food is fine, but not for its price point. The meal above came to $253 (including a 20% tip). IF you're going to spend that much, go to Craigie on Main/some place that will blow you away."

We always enjoy Ten Tables, and
New Year's Eve was especially nice. Thank you."

We hadn't been able to eat at this
restaurant until last Tuesday, NYE, and we are glad to say everything was wonderful!"
Dined on 12/31/2013
We like 10 Tables for special
occasions, because the food is almost always very, very good and the service attentive without being intrusive. The Cambridge location can get noisy when it fills up, and parking can be a slight challenge, but the food and drinks are worth it. In four visits (3 to Cambridge, 1 to JP) in as many years, we have rarely experienced a disappoiment."
Dined on 12/29/2013
We enjoyed our dinner, especially
the butternut gnocchi, but had to eat fast and leave as it was easily 80 degrees in the restaurant. I'm not sure I'd go back as it was so uncomfortable inside."

My girlfriend and I fist
experienced Ten Tables (Cambridge) in 2011. We were enamored with the wine, the ambiance and the Portuguese Fisherman's Stew we had ordered. Ten Tables became an Instant favorite. This past weekend, I took my girlfriend to Ten Tables again, it is there that she became my fiance. Ten Tables will always have a place in our hearts."

We continue to appreciate our
dining experiences at Ten Tables Cambridge. Ian and the rest of the staff are excellent, and the food is always wonderful. We generally focus on seafood dishes, and there are always great choices. We also appreciate their sophisticated beer menu."
Dined on 12/21/2013
Ten Tables has become my go-to
restaurant for an interesting meal. This time we got the chef's tasting with wine pairings, and it was great. Each dish was wonderful. Four great courses with matched wine at each course and the damage was under $100 each including tax and tip."
Dined on 12/20/2013
For two days we have scratched our
heads as to what makes the Ten Tables food in J.P. superior to the dining offerings in their Cambridge counterpart.... Six Cambridge restaurants we called on the same mid-week day for a prime-time reservation were booked, a major" tell" as we spied tables empty as we entered the Craigie Street locale. The food that followed was truly meh for the money."
