Continue on Garden St towards the lights after the hotel. Bare left at the lights and continue on to Concord Ave. Take a left at the next set of lights on to Craigie St, we are on the righthand side.

  • "Took our adult, foodie kids here for a celebratory dinner. Great night, appropriately nonintrusive but attentive service, very nice wine. We all had the chef's tasting menu. One course, a medallion of monkfish paired with beet greens and green tomatoes, was sublime; the rest was good but not particularly special. Would go again some day and order off the menu to give it a second try."

  • "Well, we have heard so much about 10 table-Cambridge and JP form my daughter and her husband who are frequent patrons. This was a special occasion for us, as we were staying in BOSTON for the weekend. We arrived and our table was waiting-back room tucked away in the corner-good for privacy, however the deuce next to us were very loud, swearing-and that put a damper on things, until they left. Our food was superb-hanger steak and homemade pasta. The waitress was very matter of factly-not that personal, and just going through the motions-too much lag time between visits-water not being re-filled, how was everything. It took a good 15 minutes to get the check. Will visit the JP one . Again, the food was great!"

The sweet potato tortellini was ridiculously good. A nice wine list and tasty beer selection too. For a small place it didn't feel cramped."

  • "I took my family to the usually reliable Ten Tables for a graduation dinner. I have eaten there 3-4 times in the past and the food is good to quite good. On this particular evening, we ask about wine and our waitress was completely unfamiliar with the wines on the list and only could describe two wines-one she said she would not recommend. She was offended when we did not seem interested in her suggestions. She then appeared angry and refused to serve us without IDs! We left and had an almost ruined evening saved by an amazing dinner at Rialto. This may be only one experience, but I think Ten Tables maybe needs to improve."

  • "My husband and I have been fans of Ten Tables JP for a very long time but recently have come to love the Cambridge location. The food was fresh and inventive. We shared the thinly sliced tongue appetizer which had tiny bits of apples and plums making it a perfect summer starter. For dinner he had halibut with turnips, sweet potato tortellini, and turnip green coulis and I had the chicken breast with fingerling potatoes and salt roasted radishes in a brown butter tarragon vinaigrette. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and we shared back and forth. The portions are generous. For dessert, the honey-whole grain cake with grapefruit goat's milk frozen yogurt and caramel had a wonderful flavor and was actually healthy! Incredible!!"

  • "Go here if you're looking for a "foodie" experience and romantic ambience. The location is strange, but we were able to get one of their parking spots right in front on a Friday night. I didn't like that you have to leave a credit card number for reservations for parties of 4, especially since it was dead when we arrived. They only have beer and wine. I had a "Los chicas" which was delicious, but I hated paying $12 a drink served in a tiny glass. It was gone in 3 sips. The food portions are tiny too. The burger was particularly good, and so was the service. Expensive, not a value in any way, but romantic. I wouldn't go out of my way to go again though."

  • "I seek out farm to table restaurants. I had read good reviews about Ten Tables. At the new Cambridge restaurant, they were just getting up to speed and still smoothing out the bumps. Even with the sketchy service, which I imagine would improve once they are up to speed, I wasn't impressed with the food, especially for the price. It is also out of the way as we going to the theatre in Harvard Square. It didn't help that it was a rainy evening. There are good restaurant in Harvard Square and I won't bother going back to see if its improved."

  • "This was a graduation dinner with our closest extended family members; we're all foodies who cook and eat out a lot -including the high school graduate. The food was in some cases undercooked and in most cases, underspiced. We had to send back and entree with potatoes that defied anyone's definition of "done"...hard to believe that any decent chef would let these go out to be served. In general things were bland. It all made a good appearance on the plate, but had no zip on the palate. A pate appetizer was rock solid, unspreadable, and so cold that it had no taste. 10 Tables = a 1 or 2. "

  • "This was the second time I've dined at Ten Tables and I've been ecstatic with my meal on both occasions. I had Nantucket scallops and the juicy sweetness was perfectly complemented by the sharpness of the cauliflower & walnut bagna cauda. My companion had pork loin whose robust flavor jostled for space on the tongue with charred rabe, pickled chilies and adobo sauce. Wonderful. The atmosphere is intimate, but avoids being cramped, though a trip to loo requires a guide"

  • "Prix fixe on Sunday is a good idea but choices were underwhelming (pasta? steak? and some no longer available anyway at 7.30pm). Having to order desserts with the meal was unpleasant (especially for such mediocre chilled desserts). Wine list prices pushing it too far + serving a Bordeaux 08 listed as an 09 on the wine list is either (1) knowingly misleading or (2) Sheer incompetence, either way, not good. Had to ask twice for wine list to be checked but was charged full price on the check (not smart). Overall, Ten Tables Cambridge offers poor value, mediocre service and less than average food. Pass your way. Book somewhere else. I for sure will never go back. "

  • "We are still savoring that creamy, dreamy minted cold fresh spring pea soup with jonah crab. Wonderful. And my chicken was superb and made great eating the next day as well. I wasn't asz enamored of the fava bean felafel -- it was rather too dry, but a nice idea. The chicken really required something a bit more unctuous. BUt the service was excellent (the pregnant waitress), and everyone else was kind and totally professional. Only thing is that the noise level is a bit high but won't change unless you make some changes to the walls or floors. I'd definitely come again. "

We ordered the tasting menus with the wine pairings and felt somewhat rushed to go through all four courses very quickly because it was prime dinner time on Friday evening. Needless to say we were both quite tipsy by the end of the meal because of how quickly we went through the wine, trying to keep up with the speed at which the courses were coming out. This place is maybe worth a try but I would definitely lower my expectations for the quality of the food."

  • "Although we have our favorite in Boston, Ten Tables was so good we are definitely coming back soon! The steak frites was incredible - steak was impeccably cooked (and actually medium), the fries were some of the best I've ever had, and the garlic aioli sauce was addicting. My girlfriend had a pasta dish with pesto and it tasted so incredibly fresh. The wine list is amazing and they have specials throughout the week. The location is very quaint, as it's located in a garden level space of a nice Cambridge brick building, just a short walk away from Cambridge Common. I would definitely recommend this place!"

  • "This was our second visit, and both times the food was good but below expectations for a place with such good wine. For the price (Sunday 3-course $38), we find the execution, quality and styling at Bergamot much superior. Overall, the dishes seemed to be either overwhelmed by flavors, or decent but in an ordinary way. The shrimp appetizer had an unnecessary and un-complementary mayo-based sauce. The steak in the steak frites was fine but ordinary and the fries better at some fast food joints. I had a pasta with ramp pesto, and while it was very tasty and the house-made pasta very good, overall the dish was overwhelmed by too many strong flavors and the pasta was swimming in sauce. Just a matter of expectations!"

  • "This restaurant is nestled in one of the neighborhoods adjacent to Harvard Square. It is in the basement of a very unassuming building, but don't be fooled! The service is top notch, and the ambience is perfect for a date. Food is top class. Definitely a place to go if you are willing to burn the extra cash, but it is well worth it!"
