Ten Tables CambridgeGreat find!Had the vegetarian chef's tasting menu with the wine pairings. Food was extremely good. There were four courses consisting of salad, soup, main course and desert. The highlight was the parsnip cake at the end which came with a dollop of cream cheese ice cream and rhubarb sauce.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous, as always. ServiceFabulous, as always. Service was amazing, I'm pregnant and the waiter went through the menu to tell me all the foods that are safe for pregnant women to eat (i.e. pasteurized cheeses, etc).5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful Chef's Tasting MenuTen Tables is a tiny gem in Cambridge. The service was excellent--the staff is attentive, warm and welcoming. The food was truly delightful--we did the four course tasting menu. The dishes were petite and flavorful--and varied (we had a delicious scallop, tender beef, and two desserts that we shared) . The tasting menu was a surprise so as each dish came out, it was explained. The surprise factor actually added to the experience. And the price was really delightul---$48 for the tasting menu (which can be made vegetarian for $36). I didn't have wine but my dining partner did and she enjoyed it. I appreciate that the restaurant has several parking spots -- helpful in Cambridge. Overall, a really lovely experience--I look forward to returning.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe octopus and pate appetizersThe octopus and pate appetizers were fabulous, especially the octopus. And the bluefish was also wonderful. My husband's steak frites seemed a little off. The smell should be just as good as the flavor, and it just wasn't. The service was perfect, with care being taken to get us out to our concert on time and to make sure that substitutions to the meal were made to make it just right for my particular palate, rather than almost right. I'd go back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMImpressive-Highlights included:wondImpressive-Highlights included:wonderful variety, great Trappist Ale, prompt and friendly service sans attitude. Looking forward to the next time.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMHad the 4 course chef's tastingHad the 4 course chef's tasting menu and everyone loved it. Never felt rushed but beautifully taken care of.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMaybe it was the post-lockdownMaybe it was the post-lockdown euphoria, but the food and service on Saturday was the best I've experienced in my many visits to Ten Tables. A wonderful evening!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMTry the tasting menu. WhatTry the tasting menu. Both the food and accompanying wines were excellent!
Will be back! Have already recommended to friends, especially my foodie friends!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious....but a bit noisy!Delicious, well-prepared food, service was superb! We were the first to arrive, and loved having the dining room to ourselves! By the time we finished, the room was full, and we felt that everyone could hear what we saying because we could hear everything everyone else was saying! The tables are very close together and the ceiling is quite low, and no adequate sound/noise control.
Otherwise...it was a wonderful evening!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLIked the portion size. GreatLIked the portion size. Great to go on Sunday as parking was ab reeze--no permit parking on Sunday! $38 menu was just fine and deelish. had to wait 20 mins for a tablebut hostess checked in with us periodically and service was prompt once we sat down. loved the cozy atmosphere.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice salad, unmemorableVery nice salad, unmemorable chicken dish, interesting sounding but somewhat disappointing vanilla-parsnip cake with cream cheese ice cream. It wasn't really clear to me from the website that, on Sunday evenings, their only offering is a $38 prix fixe menu. We were prompt at 6:00 but by the time we left it was really pretty noisy.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner was wonderful. TheDinner was wonderful. The tasting menu is delightful. Two our of four of the wine pairings were a little weak. But that does not detract from the great food. We can't wait to go back!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOmnivores & Vegetarians FoodiesThis place is amazing. Without a doubt, get the tasting menu. Also, it has one of the best food/drink pairings that you will get anywhere.
The vegetarian tasting is a delicious steal.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat place for a tasty mealgreat place for a tasty meal - we loved "the perfect cheese" desert. The service was pretty good with no rushing, well timed food delivery and insightful description of the menu items - we will go back3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal. The food was really flavorful, particularly the Bibb lettuce salad and the Housemade cavatelli. Phenomenal!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been here often andWe have been here often and the food, wine and service are consistently outstanding. The noise level can be annoying but somehow it doesn't spoil the warm and friendly Cambridge ambience. Even my carnivore husband, who usually much prefers the classic steak house places, now considers this his favorite restaurant.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThoughtfully composed and brilliantEverything we ate was thoughtfully composed and outstanding. All three courses were really noteworthy. The pierogi were heavenly, the brussel sprouts bold and delicious. The handmade pasta with mushrooms was one of the most amazing dishes we had ever tried in our lives.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fabulous. ClearlyThe food was fabulous. Clearly freshly prepared. I like that it offers a fix prixe menu as well as a la carte.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great atmosphere,Great food, great atmosphere, great experience. Crowded. We had a great table in a corner, most tables are check by jowl. We thought parking would be a huge issue, could not find any parking close, but then the restaurant told us we could park on the street, they would not ticket.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food with attentiveVery good food with attentive service and good atmostphere (once inside). Nothing that "wow-ed" (admittedly a very high bar for me) but certainly no complaints.
I would recommend and visit again.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe experienced the tastingWe experienced the tasting menu for vegans, pescitarians and omnivores. All were delicious and augmented by the wine pairings. Trust this chef. We will certainly be back.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved the atmosphere atWe loved the atmosphere at 10 Tables. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. My one complaint was, believe it or not, the menu. Both my husband and I found it quite limited in terms of the entrees. While we each found one to choose, we each would have been hard pressed to come up with a second entree. With this in mind I asked how often the menu changed and was disappointed to learn that it changed only seasonally. It won't be until Spring that I would consider returning and that is too bad.1/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
