  • "This place has great food but is a bit on the pricy side. Everything is ala cart and everything is $6 and up for the most part. The meat dishes mainly $13 and up. Definately would be saved for special occasions. Two of us was $90.00."

  • "Dinner was good and the service was good but I can't say that it was an 'experience' as I had expected. I was looking forward to the food blowing me away or having some fun surprising flavors. Although it was quite good it didn't wow me. We had the steak bites which were seasoned well and had a nice sauce but they were well done. The ahi was a very good dish with good quality ahi but it wasn't any different from other local restaurants. The lobster Mac n' Cheese was the only dish that met or exceeded my expectations. It was creamy, cheesy with a nice crunch and lots of large pieces of lobster. I highly recommend it. We finished with the strawberry shortcake that was good but a bit dry. I would give them another chance to wow me however."

  • "Can't comment on the food because they were not able to provide any. Made a reservation for 9:30PM on a Saturday. Arrived early and was greeted by a server who said "are you here just for drinks, because I think the kitchen is closed?" Reservations were available on Open Table not only at the 9:30PM slot I reserved, but also at 10PM. The fact that they stop serving food before they stop allowing reservations to be made was not clear on the App. I was driving to the area from Chicago (not just to go to this restaurant) so I wanted more than just sangria. The server was apologetic and blamed Open Table for the error, but I was left looking for another restaurant. Luckily Siam across the street was happy to serve us and was quite good."

  • "I came to Temper Grille for the first time last Saturday and it was divine. There was not a single item on the list that I did not want to try. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. Chef Sean is an artist in the kitchen. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who has an appreciation for great food."

  • "We went with the hopes of have an fun memorable experience and hopefully finding a new place to add to our "must do again" list. Instead we were squeezed into a closet where I even commented that I felt like we were being sent to the island of misfit toys....not a great first impression! We then made our selections from the meager menu. We had heard much about the Lobster Mac and it was fair but nowhere close to the hype. We received our Lobster Mac then 10 min latter our baked brie and 6-8 min latter our asparagus. After an additional 20 min of talking with our neighboring table our waitress brought us the bill which included the NY Strip we ordered but never received. AT THE END OF THE DAY THE FOOD JUST IS NOT MEMORABLE AT ALL."

Love the quality of their food and the sharing of the main courses just makes you dinning so much more enjoyable.   • "The food was great, but some dishes were extremly overpriced. The waitress was ok, could have been friendlier instead of hurrying to get back to her friends. I had said on our reservations we were celebrating our anniversary, not a word said.. I didn't expect anything free, but a happy anniversary would have been nice. Don't ask if you are not going to acknowledge. Over all it was a dissapointing experience. We should have gone to Ruth's Chris to celebrate instead. We will not be going back."

  • "The food here is amazing! We've been coming here at least twice a month since we discovered it. Tapas style so everyone orders and shares. Must try scallops, and crispy pork belly-we get them every time. The Mac n cheese is the best I've ever tasted! The specials-usually halibut or sea bass are always delicious. Everything we've ever tried there has been amazing! And Brandi is the best server around! Go in on Tuesdays and get half price bottles of wine, get the truffles for dessert, perfect portion and served with strawberries-delicious!!"

  • "We go back because we love, love, love the food! Exceptional. It is dark if you choose to eat inside - attractive and upscale but no background music so the atmosphere seems abit sterile. If you choose to eat outside, which we always do, you are dining on metal tables with no table cloths and seated on wrought iron chairs with a parking lot as your scenic view. HOWEVER the staff is professional, prompt, and knowledgeable and the food is worth the trip. We usually choose 4 small plates + an entrée and we leave very satisfied."

  • "When I dine in a tapas style restaurant I am looking for perfectly prepared and presented small plates. Temper Grille delivers spot on. My wife and I enjoyed the sea bass, mini sammies, and shrimp ceviche tacos with an arugula salad. All was excellent. The sea bass was cooked perfectly. Crisply pan fried with a just done interior. We loved it. The wine menu is a little sparse. I had the by the glass Zinfandel which was good. My wife did not enjoy her Sauvignon blanc, it was a bit vegetal (tomato and herbs) rather than citrus profile. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu."

  • "Our food, service, etc were all fine. But people rave about this place as if it's the greatest place to dine in the area. The atmosphere, in my opinion, is bad; cheap and gaudy decor, cramped, and very cluttered. The multi-tenant shopping mall where it's located is awkward and their small space simply isn't suited for a 'fine-dining' restaurant. Again, the food was fine. But I've heard people say this is the best they've had, and by no mean do I agree with that. The only reason we tried was because of its hype, but for the price, taste, and atmosphere we'll be sticking with a Cafe' Navarre or Ruth's Chris for special occasions."

  • "The food was delicious. I recommend the lobster mac n cheese. It was a nice date night for me and my husband and really nice that it is a 21 and over only restaurant. The small size makes it feel very personal but it also made it a little distracting being so close to others and their conversations. I get the impression that they run out of things frequently which can be dissapointing. I like the topas atmosphere where you order smaller portions and share dishes, and its fun to try new things. Definitely A little pricey for a casual date but for a couple that wants to be a little bit more special for the evening it was a great choice. The servers were friendly and the booths were really comfortable."

  • "Kelly jaes in Goshen is way better in every way. This place is small, ugly, service was horrible (15 min to get our sodas) and while food is good, presentation was Soso. I just did not care for it at all and feel the ambiance and food at Kelly Jars in Goshen is way superior to this place."

  • "Best restaurant, in the South Bend area. Great variety, and every dish is always excellent. The chef is a sauce genius! The mini chimi's and pork bites are heavenly. Excellent wine and beer selections. The restaurant is smaller, and always busy (because of the awesome food) so be sure to make a reservation. It's also fun to set at the bar, and share tapas with friends. Nice outdoor seating also. I have never had a bad dish here!"

  • "Went to the Temper Grille for our Wedding Anniversary, and found it to be disappointing and pretentious. It was unreasonably expensive for a dinner that was no more than adequate. Although the food was good, it was certainly nothing exceptional. For the price/performance, we could get a much better dining experience at Sorin's."

  • "We had a delicious dinner. Great food! We got the chop salad, mini steak chimmies, Mac-n-cheese, and duck bites with truffles for dessert. They offer to stagger putting orders in so that the food will arrive at different times. However, our waitress forgot to order one of our dishes. So, we had three dishes come out fairly close together and had to remind her of the fourth, which took almost 20 more minutes. Also, my seat, unfortunately, was directly in the path of the sun streaming in from the front window. So, when it set I was blinded and had to shield my eyes. Our waitress finally recognized my discomfort and offered to move us to the bar. Overall, the food was delicious and we'll go back for more, just not at that table ;)"

  • "This was our fourth visit to Temper Grille. My husband and I are moving away and we just had to visit here once more before we left. Service is always superb. The food is tapas style and is seriously amazing. They are not afraid to cook your steak to medium rare and they do so perfectly. We have hadany dishes on the menu and there's not one that I wouldn't highly recommend trying. We love supporting local restaurants and this one is the best in the Michiana area."

  • "Love this restaurant! Take a group of friends and share the food. It is Tapas style so most of the food comes out already cut for sharing. The wine list is extensive, and they offer a variety of amber beers. I recommend the steak/pork/duck bites as an appetizer, chicken masala/lobster mac & cheese for entree's, and the truffles for desert. But nothing I've ordered there has ever been less than an 9."
