"This is my 2nd time to Tellers.
I am very familiar w/ steakhouse fare and all the advantages (great steaks)and shortcomings (the standard brutal prices) that come with it. That said, knowing I'm going to drop a nice amount monetarily I do have higher expectations.
Personally, I really found Tellers a bit over-rated.
The baked clam appetizer was incredibly tiny and few (the smallest of the five were the size o a nickel, the largest no bigger than a quarter, if that) but the lobster/shrimp ravioli were very original and tasty.
The steaks were decent enough but sooooo overpriced for what we received. The sides we got were awesome (sweet potato brulee and sauted spinach), and they were the highlight of the meal.

"Was looking for a great place to enjoy a special occasion nice meal with my family. Have been so turned off by typical LI over-rated & under-delivering restaurants so was a bit apprehensive. Tellers lived up to and exceeded my expectations. Great food, well prepared and presented and an incredible wine list. The wine steward suggested an old world Cab that paired well with everyone's meal. We went for the Sunday fixed price menu. All seven of us enjoyed the entire experience."

"The ambiance gets you as you drive up. The lovely touches inside and the high ceilings only add to the feeling that something special is coming your way. The meal starts off with a warm, buttery bread. The meal was well timed out. We never waited too long between courses but didn't feel rushed either. We had the organic chicken with cornbread stuffing, and it will stay in my memory for a long time. It is simple, the best chicken I have ever had. We also enjoyed the skirt steak (which was even better the next day!). We had to try the Cinnamon Strussel Cheesecake (at our servers suggestion) and it did not dissapoint. One of my favorite dining experiences."
