Telepan has stood the test of time. I've eaten here on numerous occasions when pre-Opera was the order of the day. I have never been disappointed. Sometimes I don't have dessert, which is a mistake. Service attentive and friendly. A place in which you can hold a conversation without straining. I'll keep returning. My daughter loves it, because she's a pescatarian (vegetarian who eats fish and seafood, but not land animals), and she finds plenty to order here. Heritage Pork was a meat eaters dream. the Arctic Char was perfect and fresh. And the night we wnet there wasa side of fresh asparagus that was coked to perfection. Only drawback i find with Telepan is its lack of wine offerings for anything less than $60/bottle with most in $80 and up price range. We had two bottles between 4 people adding $125 to the bill. Dinner was the tasting menu with wine pairings. Everything was spot-on, although my companion found the texture of the smoked trout to be a little disturbing. Pairings worked, and were actually presented in a manner than matched reality and set the correct expectations.
Service was at the level expected. The only reason it misses the fifth star is the prices were a notch higher than the food and experience warranted.
