Ted's BulletinTake me out to the ball game (don'tIt was nice to be at Ted's when it wasn't full of pre-game Nat's Park goers. A lot less crowded.
great breakfast -- their sausage is some good stuff! Great service; fun place5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, only okay serviceThe food at Ted's Bulletin is really amazing & I am so glad that we went as we were only visiting DC & won't have another opportunity to go any time soon. However, the service was very slow. We were only one of four tables when we went (around 2:30 pm on a Thursday) & the waiter would disappear for long periods of time. The food did make the trip worth it, though.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA new favorite!Eight of us from the office went to Ted's for a farewell breakfast, and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more! The atmosphere was terrific...the decor very unique, and our waiter was a real hoot! The menu was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the homemade pop tarts are definitely a must-try. We saw so many food items coming out of the kitchen that we wanted to try, so I think this will certainly be our new favorite place to go for our office get-togethers in the future. We work on Capitol Hill, and getting there couldn't have been easier either! We just took the Circulator, which stops on 8th Street practically right outside the door of Ted's Bulletin--how convenient, and we didn't have to hassle with parking.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Birthday choiceThe service was notably outstanding, and the prices didn't break the bank. The staff was warm and engaging. While dinner was a bit long, this was partly due to the indecision on the large menu. Notably Ted's:
-let us be seated when only 6 of the 10 person group had showed up
-my friend's drink came a bit late, after a mistake when two were brought out accidently, both were removed from the bill
-my friends asked to get me a house-made poptart as a "cake" (the jam filled ones are the best, the nutella one was a bit dry). 3 came out with candles, and none were charged to the bill
-as it was a party of 10 people, the waitress itemized the bill by seat number including tax and gratuity for each person5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMTed's remains a favoriteI've been to Ted's several times and have never been disappointed. My father was visiting from out of town, and we had a very nice dinner. I can't remember our server's name, but she was very attentive and quick as she could be in getting our food to us. Dad had a milkshake, which he rated as fantastic. and I had a Midriff, which was likewise excellent. We shared a bunch of poptarts for dessert. Will definitely bring him again.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Birthday CelebrationTed's did it again! We were out celebrating my husbands birthday and we had a wonderful time from the food, the service and the hostess were all on point. Two thumbs up for the adults milkshakes. :0)4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMYummm! Can't wait to return! The hostess was so kind to help my 1yr old and I get settled as we waited for a friend to join us. My stroller was safely tucked away until after the meal, and there was a high chair prepared. Even though when we left, it looked like a spaghetti crime scene, NO one shot condescending looks our way (sooo nice for a change). The server was attentive to our timeframe and recommended great picks. I had the three little pigs burger (picked off the pork rhines) and MAN WAS IT AWESOME coupled with an adult milkshake on a Tuesday night (burger night)! I would love to come back at lunch for a homemade poptart.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGET THE POP-TARTS!GET THE POP-TARTS! Best thing on the menu. Well, we've only eaten here once, but we plan on coming back many times. DELISH! My husband split the lamb burger (okay, a little overcooked--we didn't send it back for re-do because we were so happy and sugar buzzed from the WONDERFUL POP-TARTS which we had as an appetizer) and our daughter had the wonderfully fluffy and delish pancakes.
Love the decor, a little too loud, but we'll take it if it comes with a side of POP-TARTS, schnarf!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood "barracksGreat neighborhood "barracks row" upscale diner. Fantastic sweet tea and "walk of shame" breakfast burrito. Split a tasty homemade poptart at the end. Recommend to anyone wanting to eat outside of DC center.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, Ted's BulletinAs always, Ted's Bulletin was great. Malts were a must and burgers we top notch.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were here for breakfastWe were here for breakfast at 7:45 on a Saturday morning. There were plenty of available tables, but by 8:30, the entire place was full.
Ted's ended up being way smaller than I imagined! Maybe 20 tables in a single room. Great ambiance with the "old timey" music and silent film showing on the only TV in the dining room. Somewhat of a limited breakfast menu, but what they do, they do well.
When we got there, it was nice and quiet; as we were leaving, my wife commented that she could barely hear me due to the crowd noise. This doesn't matter to me, but it might to some. When it's crowded, it's very noisy.
Can't wait to return! It's our favorite breakfast place in the DC area. (Right near a metro stop, too!)3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMSimple, home-made food; excellentSimple, home-made food; excellent quality; excellent service. The only complaint is that I made a pig of myself.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find in awesome neighborhoodWe had a fabulous time at Ted's. It felt like we were in the heart of the political scene. The staff were great with our tween/teen children also. And definitely order the homemade pop tarts!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMEasy Like Sunday Morning...Great service, wonderful aroma of homemade pop tarts, coffee is free, creative menu which is like reading a newspaper...the ambience is incredible. Old Time theme lives up to the name.It is casual which is rare for DC and that is a nice change of pace...family oriented, love this must see place on the hill!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
