Technique at Le Cordon Bleu – PasadenaBest Bargain in TownTechnique is a cooking school restaurant. These young people are doing their best to provide a classy and delicious, experimental meal. They mostly succeed, but for a $25 three-course price fix, who cares if they are only "nearly" perfect? I had the "hot dog" appetizer and the squid ink bun was a little doughy, but my dining partner's steak tartare was exquisite. Also, her dessert, a grape panna cotta was fabulous. FIRST OF ALL ,UNTIED WIRE 6 TIMES HOLDING THE TOP OF CORK WITH THUMB TIGHTLY .HOLD AND TURN CORK WITH PALM ,I PREFERD TURN BOTLLE,GRADUALLY.
MOST OF WINE LOVE PRACTICE THIS METHOD WITHOUT MISTAKE.
DON`T BE AFRAID TO MAKE MISTAKE .JUST BE CAREFUL.

To put it succintly, we were NOT disappointed. The food was out-standing.
The only down side was parking. I called for instructions on where to park. The person at Technique recommended a parking structure on Oakland between Colorado and Green. We spent about 90 minutes dining on Friday evening. When we were leaving the structure, the attendant informed us that the parking fee was $9.00. A bit Outrageous! Here,young people who going into the business have their heart in the food. This is a place to try new tastes without breaking the bank and if you don't like something you haven't spent an arm and a leg. The "prix fixe" meal is a bargain.
