A word from Technique at Le Cordon Bleu - Atlanta
We would like to welcome you to Technique. As a patron of the restaurant, you are an important part of this education process. We hope you will join us for a unique experience that allows the diner to witness our senior level students, who have completed the majority of their culinary curriculum, in action as servers and cooks to further their knowledge of hospitality operations as they prepare for the real culinary world. This academic laboratory is full of wonderful smells, delightful entrees and gives the student the invaluable opportunity to gain real-life experience, while managing and operating a full-service restaurant.

WHAT A FIND! My friend and I enjoyed the presentation of the food and it was delicious. We were greatly appreciative of the attention and service provided by the students. This is a treat we will attend more often in the future.

Evening reservations were somewhat surprising- expected a big crowd, like at lunch. There were only about 15 people there all evening. Waiter was definitely not great, it must have been his first time. Mistakes with order, etc. The lady in charge, Katheryn, was excellent!!! So interesting and entertaining.

Service was not all that great. Waiter was very attentive, but very forgetful. He kept forgetting items we had requested and had to be reminded four or five times. Other than that the food was wonderful, although the portion of grouper could have been a little larger. Slices were extremely thin and small.

Too bad the lunch menu is so ordinary. Hamburger and french fries? Club sandwitch? Chicken salad? I tried the pork thinking it would be a little different but breaded and fried? Was I at Denny's? Maybe the salmon was special. Maybe the dinner menu is better. But they are so heavy handed with the salt that I couldn't taste the food anyway.

Everything was fantastic. However when the meal was over the waiter brought the check, and never came back. All of the students were looking at us like we were never going to leave...So 10 minutes later...another waiter came over and took the candle off the table and left, still not asking about the check, which I had already placed my credit card in. I was suprised she didn't take the table cloth too! I felt that since WE were waiting, that it was a bit premature to do that, but alas, they are learning. Other than that everything was amazing as it usually is.

Great place for lunch or dinner. Food is prepared and serviced by the class of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School. Unfortunately, the restaurant will be closing in June in a cost cutting move. Dinner reservations need to be made several months out. Make a visit soon or you will miss this gem. We've been saying for years we need to go here; when we finally did, we said, what took us so long. This place is great.

I loved coming here. It was a really nice treat for really cheap. A local told me that the tip goes back to the school or something and not to the server. I would definitely come back here! Make sure you make reservations! Lunches were easier to get than dinners were. Too bad they aren't open on the weekends!

You can't get a better value for your money than Technique at Le Cordon Bleu. $15 for a 4 course meal??? Wow. Remembering that these are students running the kitchen and serving...you can't ask for more. Our server was not too familiar with the menu and seemed nervous - but again - a student..so this experience in the front of the house will certainly help her. Our 1st and 2nd course apps were great, but the entree course (veal shank and salmon) needed some work. The braised veal shank was tougher than expected and this is supposed to be a very tender dish and the salmon was overcooked. They are learning so that's okay. The presentation of all the plates was excellent. Both of our desserts were fabulous. We recommend this place!

After I made reservations for party of 2, I wanted to add 2 more to my table (which would seat four. I called 3 days in a row and the Lunch supervisor did not return my phone call and the evening supervisor was kind enough to handle my requst. When we arrived there actually were an empty table or two, so my request was not unreasonable. Thanks to the evening supervisor, Marian, we were able to enjoy the delicious food and have a wonderful time with our friends.

Restaurant had a nice ambiance. Food was ok, risotto was a little under cooked for my taste. I selected the rotissiere chicken it was really good & seasoned well. My partner had veal shank that was huge in portion size (he enjoyed). Again, the risotto was under cooked. Dessert was nice and light, I especially liked the presentation of my chocolate mousse. Overall the experience was nice esp w/ the price of the meal.

Food is plentiful. Portions at lunch are over sized and enough for taking half home for an evening meal. Menu needs to reflect what is being served or waitron needs to inform guests that the menu is incorrect. Service is overly solicitous. Can be somewhat annoying. Shame to hear they will not be serving after April. Focus changing to catering. So go soon or you will be out of luck.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2011
    Dined on 1/12/2012
Salmon was good but a little salty. I was allowed to make a substitution so I selected red cabbage which was the side with the pork to accompany my salmon. The red cabbage was just okay. Nothing German or special about it. The potato soup was bland. The rolls were not memorable. The cheesecake was cheesecake with a crust so hard a knife was required. The sliced tomatoes need to be removed from the menu until a suitable source is found or summer arrives. The cheese served with the tomatoes was hard and dry. The chefs who provided service to our table were really trying hard to make our experience a terrific one. It was our pleasure to chat with them.
