A word from Teca Restaurant & Wine Bar
Teca is derived from three words. The first, paninoteca (panini bar) incorporated our more light fair and Italian tapas style dining. secondly, the word enoteca (wine bar) where we host one of the premier wine lists of the world featuring wines from our vineyard in Tuscany Casali Di Bibbiano. Finally, disctoteca, our night club venue upstairs known as Mezzanine. This space also lending itself to private functions of all kinds. At Teca, we pride ourselves in serving only the freshest and most authentic high quality ingredients around. In addition to our mouth watering menu items, we compliment our cuisine with an array of fine wines, refreshing eighteen tap beer selection concentrating mainly on European and American micro-brews, and extensive variety of fine liquors from around the world. At Teca, we believe that food and drink are one in the same and that quality should never be sacrificed.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Enjoyed the restaurant. Went with family. Fish specials were great. Thick/tasty pork chop. Nice ambience. Def. sit outside on nice spring/summer night - they have heat lamps."

  • "This was my first time dining at Teca. It was on a Saturday night and the restaurant/bar was very lively. Our server was Victoria and she was amazing. I got the proscuitto and melon appetizer and it was outstanding. My entree was the parmesan encrusted tilapia. A solidly good entree, but not spectacular. Overall, the food is solid and the service is great, so I can definitely see coming back here if I'm in town. But since I live about a half hour away from West Chester, I don't know that I'd make a special trip just to go here."

  • "Relaxed atmosphere with a family feel. Great place to meet and talk comfortably over excellent food. Personal attention made everything feel right!"

  • "The food was delicious, the service was top-notch! I would definitely return."

  • "My husband and I discovered Teca a little over a year ago. Since then we've returned many times. The food, wine, and service are always wonderful. We've never been disappointed. It's a favorite place of ours."

  • "My only gripe was the acoustics in the restaurant. We could not even here the specials as relayed by the waitress and my husband and I had to shout to talk to each other. Recommended for food but not for a romantic night out!"
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "I came here on a girls night out, and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very energetic! Our server was a little pushy and rushed us a bit, but overall it was a good experience."

  • "We had our Anniversary dinner at Teca last Sat evening. Everything was awesome except the privacy level. My husband and I felt we were dining with other people, that is how close we were to the next table! Additionally, the man sitting next to us was dining with a camouflage hat on his head! People are amazing, no respect! I had to get that off my chest, and feel there should be rules with evening dining, and proper attire. I think if I go there again, it will be with a large group, it is a better place for that! Anniversary Couple"

  • "The food was good but the ambiance was enough to make us think twice about coming back. We were seated in the wine room. The tables are very small and the dishes are very large. We were constantly re-arranging the dishes to fit and to be able to manage our forks and knives. The back seat is a booth style that runs the length of the room. If the person at the table next to you needs to get it they must say excuse me and be careful not to bump you. Very annoying. It created a constant distraction throughout the meal. As for the food, we had no complaints. It was all very tasty!"

  • "So glad they changed up their menu; still great food, drinks, ambiance but with a little more choice."
    Dined on 3/20/2014
  • "When reserving I asked for as private a table as possible and we were given a booth near the back which was perfect. Very intriguing menu, very appealing specials, an attentive and personable staff. Food was very good, portions perfect and reasonably priced for dinner and two drinks each. Love the ambiance and restaurant/bar sensibility. Will absolutely return to Teca."

  • "we were elbow to elbow with the table next to us which limited our privacy of our conversation to nil. we heard their conversation as if they were dining with us, disappointing, one of my favorite restaurants in wc and i'll think twice about going there during the evening hours in the future. p.s. the noise level would not be classified as energetic, more like intrusive!!!"

  • "Our waiter was very deceptive in the way he helped us order appetizers. We asked him to help us with appetizers and he told us he would make us up an antipasto platter with a little bit of this and that. We were really looking forward to it. We got a ton of food, but he charged us for 6 different appetizers without telling us they were all going to be separate. We didn't want to ruin our friends' birthdays so nothing was said and the bill was paid, but I called when I got home. The owner took a while to resolve it and did not call me back for almost a week. I had to call back a couple of times before I heard from him. He tried to resolve it by giving the 3 of us who paid $25 each in gift certificates. I do not want to go back."

  • "Acreative menu appealed to my husband and I at our late valentine dinner here. Although we are locals (more recent to the area), this was our first time dining at Teca. While the portions were quite large and certainly pleasing to the eye (and taste!), we were a bit disappointed in the taste of the flatbread special and the service. For a monday evening, bar and wait staff were slow or standoff-ish and off on describing a standard wine offering. Overall, we are a bit mixed on the restaurant since the chef was accommodating to our questions and requests and the pork and lobster ravioli quite delicious. Perhaps worth another try by us on a different night?"

  • "Waited way too long with reservations for my husband's birthday dinner. Food terrific but we were exhausted by the time we ate-made the mistake of booking an 8pm dinner on a Friday night and the place was hopping with loud bar traffic right beside our table. Nice, lively but not a good birthday dinner for our family AND we had to wait 20 minutes for a table with reservations. No one seemed to care."

  • "If you go to Teca's you must try the Vitello alla Milanese it is to die for. Great restaurant with a good staff and lots of good choices on the menu!!! This is our go to restaurant for special occasions."
    Dined on 1/31/2014
  • "The food was outstanding. We sat in the back room with the small bar. The noise was deafening. My suggestion would be the big room for one bar and the back room for those who want to talk while they eat. The food was excellent but the noise was at a level that talk was nearly impossible."

  • "Had a great time for my birthday it was mainly the company I was with. Owner sent some Appetizers to our table then CHARGED US !!! What is that about ??? If you were going to charge us then let me order my own appetizers. Don't let him do it to you!!!"

  • "A great meal on a snowy Friday night (not many people out in WC that night). The family wine is spectacular and the specials (branzino, mushroom risotto, and a bone-in veal chop) were delicious."

  • "My husband and I made a last minute reservation for NYE. Service was perfect and the food was great! A lovely night out. Only downside was going to the bar for drinks after dinner, service was slow and not very courteous even though the bar wasn't extremely busy. With three bartenders expected a little more. Overall we were very pleased with our first experience at Teca."

  • "Booked the reservation the day of.....and was pleased to get in that evening. Service was good, food was ok. A solid C.....on a grading scale. We hit it in a limited menu night......New Years eve.....so that may have made a difference. I would go back....no doubt. Easy parking, easy to get to. And great place in warm weather months due to patio."

  • "Once our waiter realized we were not the dine and dash, his service was outstanding. On spot recommendations, took pictures and handled the birthday part graciously. The food was outstanding, sea bass special, steak tag and the veal. We were all very pleased and plan on going back soon."

  • "Teca's is a regular favorite for us, and our last visit was good, but one of the entrees ordered, gnocchi, was the smallest serving I'd ever seen. I've never seen 10 gnocchi served as an entire entree. Unfortunately, it was served to our biggest eater, who ended up eating lots of everyone else's dinner! He did say it was very good, but for the price, not satisfactory."

  • "We really enjoyed the food. Especially the Bean Spread and our lasagna. The bruschetta was just ok and the Gnocci sounded great but it was a bit off in flavor. The wine was a small pour for the price, and the noise level was festive, but very loud even though we were in the small wine room. The service was very very nice, and helpful all the way around. the only issue we had was at least 5 different servers asked to clear our appetizer plates before we were ready for them to be cleared. It go to a laughable point because we were interrupted so many times to ask if it could be cleared. Overall, good place, and I would go back maybe on a quieter evening."

  • "Our group of 7 had a wonderful weekend lunch at Teca. We started with an assortment of cold cuts, cheeses, peppers and olives. All were different from what is typical at Italian restaurants, and all wonderful One guest had the clams appetizer. Comes in a copper skillet and was enjoyed by all. The special was seasoned tilapia over a tricolor salad. Two guests thought this was excellent. Another guest had the risotto special and loved it. I tried the veal cutlet with ham and cheese. Not as happy with that. Breading too thick for me and veal not as tender as I would have preferred. House wines were delicious. Service was exceptional."

  • "Sat down instantly. Food was delicious, our waiter knew what he was talking about. The dinner came out too fast after the appetizer."

  • "This restaurant was recommended in a book my daughter gave me as a gift last year of NYC restaurants. It was exactly as described and we were not disappointed at all. The olive oils were delicious, the food was delicious, and there was an extensive wine choice by the glass. Our server was extremely professional and friendly. The place is on the smaller side and was very crowded but there was a fun vibe. The tables were spaced apart and not right on top of each other which was nice for talking. The community table/bar in the center looked fun too. I will definitely go back!"

  • "We planned a Girl's Night Out at Teca. We made reservations for 8 o clock. When we arrived, our table was ready, our server greeted us immediately, and we were amazed at the selction on the menu. The server was so knowledgable about the foods and the alcohol list. He helped us create customized meals, offered suggestions, and we were so unbelievably happy, content, and stuffed. The drinks were amazing, the food was amazing, even the speed with which our food was prepared was a little scary. Then again, the waiter was interactive, the ambiance was awesome, so time just flew by. This restaurant has it's act together. Again, OMG is all I can say!"

  • "We dined on a Friday night with some of my relatives with the hopes of catching up over a long dinner conversation. We were seated in the back dining room, which was far quieter than the bar area, but still incredibly loud. I expected that the bar area would be loud on a Friday, but the dining area was also so loud that the people sitting next to us were screaming at each other to be heard. The food was tasty and the wine selection is very impressive, but the inability to have a conversation will keep us from returning. Also, a note for older patrons. Bring your reading glasses. My older relatives could not read the descriptions of the entrees because the font size is so small. We had to scream the entire menu to them."
