Tea Lounge - Mandarin OrientalLovely time....Wonderful afternoon tea service. Quite accommodating to the vegetarian in our party, server was attentive, atmosphere was quiet and relaxing with a nice view of the strip.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautifully presented afternoonBeautifully presented afternoon tea, only disappointment we could not get a window seat as requested. Would certainly recommend and go again5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMBest view in Las VegasWe love this place...if you like afternoon tea..this is the place5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMa different experience for Vegassandwiches dainty and fresh; choices of tea; desserts outrageous and one cannot beat the jellies and clotted cream5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprisingly AmazingThis was our first time at the Mandarin in Las Vegas, so we were unaware that Check-in was on the same floor (23rd) as the Tea Lounge. When the elevator opened, I thought to myself "Why would they put check-in right beside the tea lounge?" But surprisingly enough once we were seated by the window (amongst an amazing view!) I completely forgot that people were right behind me checking in. We were overwhelmed by the tea selection and winded up getting the House Blend, which was amazing! The entire process was beautiful and we were lucky enough to witness what looked like a Bridal Shower right beside us and even they weren't very loud or disturbing. We are returning to Vegas in June and we will definitely be back for tea!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing afternoonI took my mother to the Tea Lounge at the MO in Las Vegas as a birthday treat, and it was one of the most successful things I've ever done! First, the views of the strip are absolutely amazing - we were there late enough in the afternoon for it to start to go dark and the lights become visible. If you can, ask the hostess for a window table. The tea itself was wonderful and dainty, small bite-size sandwiches, wonderful warm sweet scones with house-made jam and imported clotted cream were finished off with an amazing selection of sweets and cakes. Everything presented on a cake stand at the table by a polite, knowledgable waitress who explained everything she was serving. The menu of available teas goes on for pages!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was an relax momentThe presentation was very nice and the place had a great view on the strip. The pastries were yummy.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden secret gemIn the heart of all the hustle, bustle and partying on Las Vegas strip, there is a space for treasured tranquility in the Mandarin Oriental. The hotel is quiet and peaceful and the the High Tea is fabulous! What a lovely way to entertain guests with a great view. Highly reccommended!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous view!Great spot ... the highlight is definitely the view. Drinks are great too. Creative, and not overly sweet (some good options for non-sweet cocktails). Food is pretty good ... just tasty bar nibbles. Nice, juicy sliders. The fries with bolognese are a bit weird (as well as under seasoned) ... the again, if you order something like fries bolognese, I guess all bets are off and you get what you get. :) Now, as for service ... let's just say that they leave you plenty of time to enjoy the view. I wouldn't mind waiting for food if at least the initial drink order and water hadn't taken 20 minutes to arrive on a medium-traffic early evening. But the servers were at least friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was better the second timeIt was better the second time around! We enjoy afternoon teas, and try to experience them whenever we travel. The MO-LV is one of the nicer places that provide afternoon teas. The scones were the perfect size, not overly large nor too small. Bite sandwiches were quite tasty, we ordered more. Everything was nicely done.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday TreatThis was our second time at the Mandarin Oriental for afternoon tea - this time to celebrate my wife's sixtieth birthday. It was even better than the last time. We had the Champagne Afternoon Tea and the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything. We told her that it was my wife's birthday and towards the end of tea they presented her with a beautifully decorated cup cake. It made a perfect afternoon even better.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth a VisitThis was my second visit. Really enjoyed the time I spent there.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe desserts were fantastic--evenThe desserts were fantastic--even better than other afternoon teas that I've been to. The scones were mediocre but overall, this deserves a second visit.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMIt is in the hotel lobby soIt is in the hotel lobby so everyone is checking in. That takes away from the experience. Tea and food was ok.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat location, great experience...but very expensive for what you get. I enjoy afternoon tea and having British roots I am a big tea drinker, but other than the view of the strip this tea (et al... tea, sandwiches, pastries and scones) was nothing extra special and the service was mediocre.2/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
