The risotto balls were amazing (we always start with these!), the wedge salad was fresh and crisp and we were having a great night. Her pesto pizza came out timely and was very good. My bourbon steak tips were over cooked and it was the first time that I have witnessed this at this restaurant. The waitstaff checked in on us and I explained how it was over cooked. They said we will do anything for you sir, so if you want more steak tips cooked or another dinner please let us know. I decided to order more. Wow they came out prompt and perfectly cooked all on a matter of 5-8 minutes, meaning they did it as a priority. Exceptional service with great food. From start to finish the experience could not have been any nicer! The restaurant is beautiful, interesting in detail, neat and clean. The staff -- from our waiter, to the bus staff, and others -- all worked seamlessly as a team to help each other serve all guests quickly and efficiently and most of all pleasantly. They all struck the perfect mix of professional and pleasant. The menu is a wonderful array of food choices where all items are made to order. My party had eggplant parm, lobster, chicken marsala and all were delicious. The food is solidly creative, tasty, and there is a menu item for all tastes. We enjoyed the wild boar gnocchi, crab cakes, shrimp & scallops seasoned with a hint of pancetta, and veal marsala, all solid hits.
The wine list is compact, yet comprehensive, and I have not seen better pricing in the greater Boston area. The service is always efficient and professional. This night was challenging for the waitress as she was handling the outdoor patio as well as our table indoors and there was not a real hitch the whole evening.

Our waiter was pretty attentive so I don't know if it was the kitchen that was slow or what. We were still waiting for the appetizers to arrive after almost 40 minutes, which is not ideal especially with kids. We wanted to treat visiting grandparents to a nice dinner, and it was also difficult for them to sit for so long & wait. So, I guess this place is best if you want a slow, relaxing meal. We liked it so much we have been back three times since. The food is outstanding, the service is outstanding, and the wine list is outstanding. It is rare for us to order a bottle of wine at a restaurant but the prices are so affordable. The atmosphere is perfect for relaxing and enjoying ones company. I recommend making reservations as the wait times can exceed over an hour. For an appetizer, our favorite is the Arrancini. For entrees, one of us always gets the Butternut Squash Tortellaci and then we switch up the second entree. We have had the Risotto of the Day, Italian Meatloaf, and the Steak Tips with Gorgonzola Penne. We have yet to be disappointed. All of the servers have been fantastic. I would recommend reservations, the wait can be an hour, although there are usualy seats at the pizza bar. We were seated in a rather uncomfortable spot, and we asked if we could move, they graciously accommodated us. The service was attentive. My boyfriend and I went there for our anniversary and everything was great from the service to the food. After we finished eating our waitress asked us if it had been our first time dining there, when we said yes the manager came right over and spoke with us about our experience and gave us a coupon to come back again and try other menu items. There was a group at the bar that was rather loud, so I would not recommend this place if you want a quiet intimate dinner, but for us it was not a big deal.
