  • "Was an all around great experience. But the waiter either forgot about us or was very slow. WAited a while for our appitizers when people who sat down after us received them before us. Then when we finally got them our meals came out right on top of them. Also just to get him to bring us new drinks was a little of a hassle. Outside of that it was perfect!!!"

  • "Nicely decorated with a beautiful view and friendly staff. Service was a little slow and you didn't get a lot of food for the price. i ordered a linguini dish and asked for al dente. I ended up with thin(ner) fettuccine. The dish was Served in a deep bowl instead of a plate. The pasta was on the bottom and the vegetables and chicken were on top. Very difficult to mix the Items. The chicken was dry and not cut into smaller pieces. The pasta was drowning in sauce and really didn't have a lot of flavor. We had to ask for bread halfway through the meal as we never got any. And we had to wave the waitstaff over several times for drink refills. My husband and I ordered seltzer with lime. He got seltzer I got sprite. We will not return for dinner."

  • "The room is too small for a brunch. The tables were very close and there was not alot of walking room to and from the buffet. Also, there wasnt a clear place to check in at the bar area. We entered from the main hall and did not know where the hostess was stationed. Waiting by the bar was difficult because we were always in the way of the servers. The layout needs to be re-planned. The food was very good and we would come again, but the space is tight and the room was loud."

  • "First time at the restaurant to celebrate birthdays in the family. Overall the food was fair and not worth the overall price of the meal. The wedge salad was good and that was the highlight of the night. The salmon entree was ok, but did come with a good portion of vegetables. The mahi mahi tacos were very dry and not very flavorful. The scallops were ok and the linguini and clams was very garlicly and it masked the rest of the taste of the dish. The beer selection was a disappointment as just the very basic, large macrobrewery offers. Would avoid a return trip and try other restaurants in the area. Server started out great but faded towards the end although she was very nice."

  • "We enjoyed the food and so did our kids. It was nice that we could get a full course dinner and the kids could get apps and pizza. We finished our meal with dessert. We didn't mind paying 7 dollars for the large piece of cake, but my son asked for ice cream with it . We received one scoop of ice cream and we were charged 7 for that. I think we'll have dessert at home next time."

  • "This is a great place for a lunchtime get-together in a very nice atmosphere with very good food. The service is always great with friendly and efficient staff. My party comes on a regular basis during the week and we are never disappointed. We are looking forward to dining here outdoors in the nice weather."

  • "This is our go-to spot for family get togethers! My nephew always gets the Chicken Parmesan; he says it's awesome. I had the Veal Francaise tonight and it was fabulous, with a very generous portion! My sister's Prime Rib was spectacular and a very generous portion as well! My husband said his Chicken Scallopini was okay; he would have liked a richer flavor. We'll definitely be back!"

  • "I booked a table for a special occasion. From the really bad art to the really tough waffles, it was just not good. The service was good, but WOW...food was mediocre at best. The highlights were: the sausage/bacon was good and they had smoked salmon. Of concern was: tough lobster ravioli, crunchy, tough waffles, music choice (1970s - 80s soft rock - GAH), tough beef dish of unknown name, sticky mac and cheese. I wanted soo much to like this. But if you're going to charge $25 a person, you better provide decent food. What a disappointment"

  • "We went on a whim on a Wednesday evening and honestly didn't know what to expect as we hadn't heard much about Tavola. It was quiet. but got busier as the evening went on. We had a wonderful meal! The calamari was really good and the "special" dinner of scallops with stuffed rigatoni and broccoli rabe was excellent. I think there may have been a dozen HUGE scallops in the dish...who does that?!. .Brendan, our waiter, could not have been nicer or more attentive. We will definitely be back and send our friends."

  • "On many occasions my party (3-6 people) has enjoyed lunch at Tavola. The food and service is always good with reasonable prices. The menu contains a nice variety of food and the restaurant atmosphere is very nice and quiet. The staff members are exceptionally friendly and do whatever is necessary to accommodate our needs. Mahi mahi was a little over cooked, but still tasty. The short ribs were delicious, but tasted and looked more like roast beef."

  • "We could not believe how bad the food was. Normally I am easy to please. I had a spinach salad and disliked the dressing. My husband had a wedge salad. the Blue Cheese dressing was mainly mayo and the lettuce seemed old. The worst part were the entrees. i am not sure how you can find salmon as tasteless as mine. The sauce on it was fine but the fish itself could not even be identified as salmon is you were blindfolded. My husband had chicken, crab meat and mozzarella and tomatoes and it was totally bland. It was difficult to identify what was in the dish."

  • "This place is a train wreck and clearly needs new management. We thought we would give it a try and got there about 9:00 on a Saturday night. After we were seated it was all down hill. We sat at a bar table and no one ever waited on us. We sat there for ten minutes and had a number employees walk past us and never say a thing. The best part was that the manager(with a beer in his hand) was with a group employees about ten feet away, oblivious to the world around them. He even looked at us several times and never said a thing. In the Darwinistic world of restaurants, Tavalo needs to be eliminated from the gene pool."

  • "We have never experienced such poor service . We were abandoned by staff for FORTY-FIVE minutes after our orders ere taken . I then told the manager that not only had our appetizers not arrived , but we weren't given bread , water or drink refills or even " how are things going ? " The restaurant wasn't crowded . The service improved after I notified the manager ."

  • "We had a wonderful time at Tavola's. We get together every month at different places in Delaware County and found a great place at Tavola's. The dinning area was spacious. I made reservations on open table for 5, modified it for 6, then when we arrived we still had more! The Tavola staff took it in stride and added more settings without blinking an eye! Thanks. The food was yummy and the desserts super!"

  • "We were married at the Springfield Country Club 11 years ago and wanted to return for our anniversary. Making reservations online was super easy. We were seated earlier than our reserved time. The staff were polite, friendly and knowledgable. The food and drinks were fantastic! We'll be going back sooner than our next anniversary; there are other menu items we want to try!"

  • "My Fiance and I went out to dinner the night after Christmas to celebrate his birthday which is 12/24 and also our anniversary which is 12/26 and we had a great experience! Our waitress was amazing, the food was delicious- (we had the French Onion soup, cheese steak spring rolls and we both had the braised short rib dinner) everything was fantastic!!! We also had cocktails from the holiday drink menu and they were also amazing! Great experience and would recommend it to anyone!"

  • "With outdoor dining nonexistent now, they are better able to judge servers needed but still lacking in performance. There is such rushing about by the staff that it gets to be distracting. Also, in the winter, it would be nice if the restaurant door wasn't used. Out table got hit by cold drafts each time a party entered or left."

  • "This was my first trip to Tavola. Sean Rogers, out waiter, was excellent. He was very friendly, personable, and attentive. Food was beautifully presented, and tasted great. Portions were very generous. I have already recommended Taviolas to others. Only negative was that it got quite noisy when a large young group arrived for dinner."

  • "Dinner with retiree girls. We meet once a month in the fall, winter, and spring and will definitely return to Tavola's. Greeted at the door, wait staff very attentive to our needs, and very courteous. Our meals included, 1 chopped salad(shared), 1 beet and arugula salad(shared), and a chicken soup, 3 crab cake, 1 salmon stuffed w/crab meat, 1 filet mignon(cooked to perfection), 1 tilapia no one complained but all raved over their meal. We also ordered 2 desserts which were shared, plus coffees. The prices of each meal were reasonable. We talked and laughed for a while; we were not rushed out. Great time had by all!"

  • "After renovations were completed on this staple of Springfield, we dined here with a group of 6 which included my older in-laws. The ambiance was very nice, however we were sat outside and it was November. Luckily, it was not a chilly night, but as the sun went down, it did get colder and we asked for a heater and it was brought to our table, but it was still quite cold. I was not given the option to dine in or outside when i made the reservation through open table, so be aware! i think they try to seat people out there all winter if they can! Food was very good, drinks were nice and we had an overall nice time. i would consider this again for a nice size group and especially if you enjoy dining outdoors. nice views."

  • "Four of us dined and no one thought the food notable (my chicken cutlet was either poached or boiled and was awful). With one drink each (two of us could not drink the sangria it was so unpalatable) and two shared appetizers, the bill came to over $170.00. We tipped over 20% (and the server came back and thanked us for our generosity) because the service was fine. We will not return to Tavola."

  • "The setting is perfect even for a chilly fall night, the outdoor heaters are effective enough and aesthetically pleasing. The appetizers were tasty and were generally well-received. However all of our entrees, which were mostly sandwhiches, were all a bit dry. More condiments please ! From Crabcake sliders to chicken sandwhiches, even the fish tacos. Service standpoint was less than good. Waters were received right away, however we could overhear two waitstaff members deliberating on who the table belonged to, and for the rest of the night, service was generally slow. The outdoor area didn't appear to be too busy but it took some time to receive our check. Overall I think the ambience makes up for the lacking in food and service."
