Featuring a plethora of interesting 1920s-inspired design details, the Dominion Square Tavern is a cut above your average downtown eatery. Enjoy simple classic fare such as mussels and fries or a pulled pork sandwich in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Top it off with a sinful serving of sticky toffee pudding. Newly reopened, the tavern is already a huge hit with the downtown professional crowd. A full bar, cocktails, wine and beers awaits.

We really enjoyed our dinners on Saturday and Sunday. The food was excellent and service was as well. It is not cheap but it is reasonable for what you get. It is not a quiet place so if you are looking for a romantic dinner with classical music this is not the place to go. If you like a lively place for dinner with a group of friends this is ideal. We loved it.

Not the first time we've been there, and this time around it was as good as we remembered. Cocktails are delicious! The menu is varied but simple - the best restaurants don't have a long list to choose from and I'd advise checking out their website to get an idea. Service is always top-notch here.

I was disappointed when I was told (at the moment of confirming the reservation over the phone, just a few hour before the reservation) that I would only be allowed to have diner in the terrace (on the street) because we had a child in our party. It was already too late to change restaurant. Otherwise the food is good and service is nice.

Dominion is a great restaurant with kind staff, superb decor and excellent food. It's a fun place to drink, eat or both... unless you plan on having an important conversation; it's noisy! (Not a bad noisy, mind you) This is definitely one of my favourite places to go with friends for a good time. Try and get a spot on the terrace, or at the bar. Not your usual downtown Montreal restaurant. A definite must if you're in the area!

Really interesting place with a lot of character and history - I didn't even know it existed and must have walked past it often. Food was very very good and had a few "British" items on the menu including Bangers N Mash and Pimms Cocktails! Small outdoor terrace on the street in the summer, but my recommendation would be to sit inside - much more interesting!! Prices are more upscale, so choose more for a special occasion rather than a quick lunch, depending on your budget.

My friend and I just went for drinks for our second night in Montreal and enjoyed the atmosphere but REALLY enjoy the drinks! They were expertly made, refreshing, subtle, and beautifully simply. We decided to return for our last night in Montreal to experience the food (as well as favorite beverages from the previous night). We focused on the appetizers and split them all (it was more than enough food). We got the Homemade Charcuterie (amazing! and opened our eyes to some fabulous meats that we would never have known otherwise), the Pate de Campagne (another huge hit!), the Fromage Plate (beautifully done), and...wait for it...THE MOST AMAZING BONE MARROW DISH WE'VE EVER SEEN (or tasted!)!!!! Needless to say, it was a night to remember!!!!

The entire meal was delicious - I had the salmon and my husbusd had the striploin both were delicious with great portions . We had the sticky toffee pudding after reading so many reviews in trip advisor- we are chocolate people and it was Amazing! Great place you will not be disappointed . May I also add my husband left his sunglasses during our meal - we flew back to the states early the next morning called the restaurant and they are shipping them to us !

I am from Toronto, but a frequent visitor to Montreal (Approximately 3 times per year). I visit many restaurants and love this one. I went the first time for my bachelor party and returned for my brothers. Each time we had a group of 6. The food is delicious no matter what you get. I have tired the steak, braised beef, and bangers and mash for mains. I loved all of them, but would recommend trying them in the se order I listed above. Lastly, their cocktails are delicious, they make their own tonics in house. So the gin and tonics are a must have if your thirsty. It normally comes with cucumber in it but you can ask for some mint in addition. Seriously delicious!

A must eat at restaurant on any visit to Montreal!!! Beautiful, authentic, and great menu. Great location. The "Canuck" is a killer cocktail. Only 2 restaurants for dinner I HAVE to go back to in Montreal is Tavern Square Dominion and Au Pied de Cochon. Both world class and outstanding. For breakfast or lunch try Le Gros Jambon in Old Montreal. Went twice on both my recent visits.

We had dinner at Taverne Square this last Saturday, and the food, service, and ambiance were amazing. It's the sort of place where you basically have to treat your meals as communal, the food is so good. The waiters were very friendly and the beef striploin was a highlight. Don't pass up on dessert here, the stocky toffee pudding was off the hook.
