It is not often I opt fpr Greek food but this dining experience may well change that. My wife developed an affinity for Tzatziki of all things prompting me to find a Greek restaurant near a function we were attending. I read the review on OpenTable.com and selected this one. The favorable reviews were spot on. We got there early joining another couple and as the restuarant filled, so did the noise level. Everyone ordered something different but each raved about the food and presentation. Service was professional as we did not have to seek out our waiter (Sergio) and his team. They anticipated our needs. I very pleasant experience I am looking to repeat soon!

We sat down they brought out the humus and pita bread . then we ordered here's was a problem we ordered the seafood combo for 2, my wife took one bit and said she could not eat this ,at the same time the manager came over and asked how everything was ,so she said she couldn't not eat this dish, it was to spicy, to much pepper and added lemon. so he offered her another dish ,also they gave us baklava dessert and coffee on the house ,I took home a ton of fish. and they only charged us for the original order which I ate. The coffee was great and the baklava probably one of the best I've ever had. Honey and nut filled flaky crust . I ate that at home it was so filling and rich. service was amazing for us...

  • Saturday Nite Unbearably LOUD

Food was good but the tables were on top of each other and the noise level was unbearable without the music! Then they turned on the music and the terrible belly dancer performed for the next two plus hours (no one paid attention). Our party stayed till there were only three tables occupied and we requested that they lower the volume so that we could talk to each other. The management told us that they only played music on Saturday nites and kept it blasting!!!! The blaring noise level absolutely ruined the evening....I won't go back. I don't recommend it.

I always get the lamb shanks and it did not disappoint. A generous size-a little bit over cooked. The whole fish offering (starts with an L, but would not try to spell it) was not fully de-boned by our server. As a result, not a pleasant dish to deal with. Probably will not take the chance on it again. The vegetable offering that accompanied the fish was excellent however. The best hummus in Boca Raton. Our server was pleasant and patient, but on this Friday night over taxed with diners needing her attention. she is very good never the less.

Did reservations for 6pm Saturday. There is a belly dancer that starts at 8pm. Everything was very tasty, but a bit salty. The sides can be replaced. The hostess and our waitress were extremely nice. Both checked on us multiple times throughout the meal and were easy to talk to. The kitchen head brought our food out and stopped by again at the end. The front of house manager yelled out at the kitchen crew a bit(could hear throughout the restaurant), but they did not really seem to mind. The inside has a European old-cottage feel. The tables allow large parties. There is a banquet room and places to sit outside. They have early bird and holiday meals. I look forward to visiting this place again. Hope it is just as good as the first time...

This is good Greek style food however it's not the best in the area. We went the other night and the highlight was the lemon chicken soup. The kabobs were dried out Greek style paella hardly had any of the pasta or orzo in it (like it typically has had in the past). We find this place to be a bit inconsistent for us.

The food was good so if you want good food you can ignore my comments. The microwave in the kitchen went off every other second and I asked what that annoying buzzing was and they simply said the microwave, it was loud and did i say annoying! The head kitchen staff was calling out the orders and facing the dining room, well the kitchen is open so every time he was calling it out it was like screaming in our face, did I mention annoying? Lastly we asked for some extra Tzatziki for the gyro and were charged extra, i guess extra is extra but here i am just being petty as I was not ever charged extra when there was not enough sauce. It's a nice lively crowd, good food and i will go again and ask for a table away from the kitchen

We went to Taverna Kyma to celebrate Easter. When we arrived at the restaurant we saw two whole lambs being cooked on spits in the parking area, making us feel as though we were in a small village in Greece. The scene was marvelous. Most of us ordered lamb, and it was to die for. We have never tasted lamb so good. Our Easter dinner was a huge success, thanks to the people at Taverna Kyma.

We took people here who are very picky. This was our first time out with them so we were taking a chance wherever we went, but they said they liked fish so we suggested Taverna K . What an outstanding meal! Our waiter recommended the tsippoura, which was a scrumptious, full flavored fish and three of us had that; my husband had the "best lamb chops he's ever had"!our friends can't wait to come back-- they said they want to try every thing on the menu!! Oh-- and the belly dancer was great!!!

Our friends, who love Greek food, had not been here and loved it. The restaurant was packed with several large groups and we were glad we had a reservation. Our waiter was great and brought us everything in a timely manner. Our friend doesn't eat carbs and replaced the pita bread with cucumbers when asked with no problem. The lamp chops were the best and again the waiter added more vegetables when requested, instead of potatoes. The lemon chicken was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp dish very tasty. The dolmades were also very good. The groups were very loud but happy and we had fun watching the tasteful belly dancer interact with customers. A delightful evening!

We have been going to this restaurant for years and it was our favorite Greek restaurant until our most recent visit. The server was poorly trained and did not attend to our needs. When one person at the table asked for more water, she gave it to him and walked away without asking if anyone else at the table wanted more. When we asked the busboy for more milk for our coffee, he said he couldn't get it and left. The lamb chops (which were always our favorite) was too tough to chew and could not be cut with the knives provided. They also were lacking the seasoning it always had and was tasteless. The dessert pie, was heavy and soggy and tasted like it was sitting around for days. Taverna Kyma is not the jewel it used to be!

Went based upon other peoples' reviews. We were very please with the food which I would give 4-5 stars. I had the Lavraki which was cooked perfectly. My wife had beef kabobs which was also very tasty. Unfortunately the service should be given a negative star. The staff was disorganized and confused ( the incorrect dishes were brought to our table several time). The definitely need to be better organization. They need a total reorganization. Waiters appeared to be trying but couldn't get it to happen. Hope they work things out as the food was very good.

Been there before. Food and service is generally It was Friday and Valentine's Day. It was not a romantic hideaway and not expected to be. We were 5 people. It was a circus but not in a bad way. There was a belly dancer and a very upbeat environment. Given the number of patrons, I'd say they did a totally commendable job.

We're frequent diners at Taverna Kyma and enjoyed a 6:30 dinner on Valentine's Day. Lamb chops were the best ever; Rofos Plaki (baked fish with tomatoes, white wine...) was delicious as always; Lemon Chicken soup wonderful and the vegetable mix (green beans, red pepper, potatoes) was great (improved from the previous green beans alone). Music was a bit too loud for our taste that evening, but the belly dancer arrived and the crowd in a celebratory mood. Service is always friendly. We LOVE this place and highly recommend it.

Love Taverna Kyma but 1 big complaint. We went at 630p to get the special menu. They seated us with the regular menu. I asked the man who seated us and he never brought them to us. I had to ask the waiter when he came to take our drink order. If the restaurant offers the menu, then why am I made to feel like I'm doing something wrong by asking for it!!! Put a little damper on my enjoyment. Also the waiter forgot our appetizer so we cancelled it since the main dishes had arrived. But the food was really good And the special is a good deal. I will go back but hope they don't make me beg for the special menu if I qualify!

First of all, the food is always terrific. We expected the loud noise level, but not the service issues. Admittedly, the restaurant was very busy for a Saturday evening in the height of season, but, when we have a reservation, we don't expect for people who walk in after us to be seated first, when their party is the same size and their reservation is the same time. We were also forced as a result to be seated near the front door and cooking area. Our first appetizer, a cold mix of traditional Greek pita and dips, had a long hair in it, and, although it was eventually replaced, not a word of apology, or anything else was done to make us feel better. If I were the manager, it would have been an automatic comp! Lamb chops were superb!

After having gone for many years to the Taverna, we took friends there. I know that it is crowded on Friday nights having been there before. This past time was ridiculous. They must have added 10 tables (and it was crowded before). It was nearly impossible to go through the aisles and they seated us where we had to stop eating and get up every time someone with a walker wanted to exit! Hardly dining. The service was very spotty and we did not receive several items we requested. They seemed to be very short on help. I had to send overdone tough lamb chops back. Even the belly dancer had no room to move! We won't be returning there any time soon.

The food was fair, the service was horrible. The waiter brought our entree while we were eating our salad and sent the food back. It came much later and was okay. The belly dancer was very good. Then they brought our "decaf coffee" which turned out to be not decaf. I was up until 4AM. Needless to say we will not return.

This restaurant is usually quieter on the back porch than inside, but tonight we sat in the corner of main room and it was OK. Food is always good, but I am tired of the same overcooked vegetables that are served with meat dishes. Sometimes the person making cocktails doesn't get it right - the last time a Makers Mark Old Fashioned came out quite differently than usual.

We loved everything about this place. Came wih husband, teenage daughter, and Grandmother. My husband ordered off the "twilight menu", and the 3 of us shared a bunch of small plates. Everything we ate was delicious and fresh tasting, none of that bland, "fake" tasting out of a can stuff. I will definitely be back. We sat outside on their enclosed covered porch which was thankfully quiet. I did notice when we left, the inside had loud Greek music and a bellydancer for entertainment. It was a Saturday night. Oh and by the way our waitress just brought us all the deserts when she saw we had trouble choosing for the desert which came with my husband's meal.
