We had outstanding service at Tavern, especially given that our first server was in training. Well they are training her right! Our servers were attentive, always refilling our wine and water glasses without being asked, making sure our food was delivered all at once and checking in regularly without being intrusive. The food was great too--the beef stroganoff was high-end comfort food, and the calamari appetizer was excellent. Good wine list.

Met some friends we are getting to know better so a good spot to please many tastes with their varied menu. We had one of the best waiters I've ever had (wish I could remember his name!) - just the right amount of attention and remembered details most would forget. The bar up front was very loud on a Wed evening and the first dining room only slightly less so but the farthest dining area, altho not as nicely decorated, was enough distance form the party atmosphere until a group of rowdy women came thru, but luckily they settled into manageable conversation after some time. Food was quite good - not stellar but certainly enjoyable. Prices are pretty reasonable.

Because we enjoy Mission Farms, we thought we would try the Tavern to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Maybe because of the name, the location and price points, we expected more of a warm, inviting decor. It was nice, but a little stark and contemporary for our tastes. My wife ordered the puff pastry seafood potpie, and it was delicious! The cajun ribeye and andouille sausage hash were tasty, but would substitute the creamed spinach next time. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. A manager named Christy visited our table twice, and acknowledged our anniversary. When we received our check, they had graciously comped our peach cobbler dessert! Next time, we may sit in the bar area (hope we hear the grand piano) or on the patio.

Food was so-so. Waiter was either hung over or still drunk from the night before. We were embarrassed because we brought friends with us! We decided to try it based on our good experiences at The Tavern in Prairie Village. We were extremely disappointed!

We celebrated with family my husband's birthday at the Tavern. There were four adults and three children under six at our booth. Mitch, our waiter, was wonderful and we all had a great time. The food was very good, but the highlight was the very large slice of chocolate cake Mitch brought to our table for my husband. The children's eyes lite up at the sight. Thanks for the very nice experience.

This is my third time to dine at the Tavern. On all occasions the food and service was excellent. However, on this visit food was excellent but our server rushed us. We brought friends from out of town, and of corse, we wanted to visit. After our server told us about the specials, opened the wine, he asked if we were ready to order. Several minutes later he returned and seemed anxious for us to place our orders. We felt rushed . After paying the check, one person in our party decided to order another drink. Our server told us he had already "checked out" and got another server to bring the drink. Didn't leave until 11:00 so it is doubtful they would turn the table again.

One of our go-to places for both lunch and dinner. On our last visit there, we ordered the mussels. They were about 1/4" in size and 1/3 of them were not opened and could not be eaten. The manager was wonderful--he gave us another order of mussels (which were the same size), and told us we could eat until we had our fill of mussels on the house. He handled the situation perfectly.

Tavern at Mission Farms is one of my favorite local gems whether for a business lunch, dinner with the family or eating out with a group. On this particular occasion, my family and I were celebrating my mom's 65th birthday. Knowing this, the hostess, Sharon, seated us in a private room -- an extra special touch which was greatly appreciated. The menu was perfect for our group -- everyone was able to find something delicious. No doubt, I'll be back again next week -- I'm happy to be a regular!

From the greeting at the door by the hostess, to the good-bye and come back, this was an exquisite experience. As a party of 3, we had the crabcakes, risotto balls and shrimp appetizers, the surf & turf special along with the beef stroganoff and finished with the donuts & the chocolate cake to go. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable yet unobtrusive. The food was a parade of fantastically paired items that were not only artful masterpieces but tasty delicacies. This will definitely be a go to on our list.

Server was great, but food unimpressive. I ordered seafood potpie, & the top was light & crusty but the entire base layer of crust was just dough--I even picked up a portion of it & stretched the dough several inches. Stirring & cutting it was quite difficult. The taste was actually great, but the texture of raw dough ruined it. My wife ordered lemon pepper chicken bowtie or something like that, & the flavor was definitely light as described by the server but the chicken was quite strange--hard to cut & chew because the very external layer was tough but the inside was not firm at all, but rubbery. We examine it thoroughly because we were concerned that it might be undercooked & my wife is pregnant. She ate the pasta but skipped the chicken.

We have been fans and frequent patrons of The Tavern in the Village. We are pleased to see that The Tavern in Mission Farms has the same great menu and the outstanding service of the the first Tavern. We had a lovely meal, served with care. Attention was given to people in the group with food allergies. It was a perfect evening. We did have some trouble hearing over a large group behind us. Sound management might be a consideration. Overall it was just perfect.

We go to Tavern often and the food is consistently delicious and the service always reliable. There were 5 of us, with several questions about the menu, and our server was able to answer all satisfactorily. He recommended the special, which I ordered - it was great - healthy portion and not overpriced. Even though the restaurant was crowded, we lingered to chat after the meal and felt no pressure to vacate the table. The server was attentive but didn't hover. Whenever we are there, the manager stops by to be sure we've had an enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be going back again and again.

Not in the mood for a full dinner, but it was very good, chose a special heirloom tomato and mozz salad and crab cakes for appetizers, then had the Tavern Salad w/chicken. Topped off with dessert - the peach cobbler. Was all very good, need to go back and try some of their main courses. I have my eye on the Pork Osso Buco with risotto.

I was very impressed by the Tavern. Honestly, I wasn't expecting what we got. Our server was amazing, and he served us refills regularly and was knowledgeable about the menu. The GM came over to our table to ask if everything was good and it was. I got the Tavern Beef Stroganoff, which was delicious. The portion size was perfect, not too much but not too little. It was nice to go somewhere that really stood out. I got the white Zinfandel and it was pretty darn good. I would definitely go again.
