Menu selections are focused on familiar American dishes using authentic preparations and current styling. We offer well balanced menu selections with an emphasis on Nutrition and flavor.
Forward thinking, beverage plays a significant role highlighting local producers of craft beer, wines and small batch spirits. Drink recipes come from generations of American mixology exploration. Crafted cocktail recipes steeped in American tradition are featured. Rickeys, Sours, Slings, Gimlets, Toddies, Manhattans, Martinis, Stingers, Flips and Fizzes...all honoring the classics.

  • "Tavern 64 takes local more seriously than most, and to everyone's benefit. It is quite unique in its menu and very high in quality in everything I have ever ordered. Their unique blend of "small plates" , salads and normal (larger dishes) gives more choice to the scope of appitite variance in a dinning party. Prices are quite reasonable. The pork chop was one of the dishes that stole the show, but everyone was happy in their choices!"

  • "Been 3 times: apps & drinks in bar (recommend!), dinner & brunch. Menu is limited, preparation/execution is amateur. Arrogant & inattentive waitstaff completes the typical food service add on to a hotel feeling. Servers have no passion for food or hosting, are unapologetic for mistakes, and not familiar with the menu. Great for relaxing and drinking, but if you're a foodie, venture a few feet out the hotel door to one of the many better dining experiences in the Reston Town Center."

  • "Bottom Line: The Food was Fabulous buy the service was shoddy. My wife explained that the food was the best she'd eaten in a long time. We both decided that the service was the absolute worst we have seen in a long time. So, I would recommend to friends that if U go, get ready for a fabulous feast but be ready to stay a long time and feel ignored for long periods at a time."

  • "It appeared like our waiter was the only one in the restaurant, which was odd based on a hotel event with 1100 guests needing food. Our appetizers took a while and drinks even longer, but our main courses never arrived. We discussed the wait with other tables and they agreed. Eventually, we went to pay for what we had gotten and leave. The manager was pleasant and refused to let us pay for the appetizers. She even offered free breakfast the next day. Hopefully this was a one night occurrence. Everyone we spoke south said the food was terrific -- we just never got to see for ourselves."

  • "I am so excited that I now have a farm to table restaurant within 10 minutes of my home! Harvest 64 has great ambiance, great food, is mostly all organic and has many vegan and gluten free options. The waitstaff was wonderful and substituted many bread offerings with gluten free bread for us, and was extremely attentive. We really enjoyed our dining experience. We went for brunch and looked at the dinner menu and are excited to try it for dinner! Great new spot!"

  • "I have eaten here a couple of times. Most of the food is great, but some is lacking in flavor. They have some great vegan options. Noise level is always very loud and wait staff is extremely busy. Always seems that wait staff has too many tables to handle."

  • "I was raised on Brunswick stew and this was not it. The reason we ate there was because of the Brunswick stew on the menu. It was more like cream of chicken you would put on toast except it needed more green peas and carrots."

  • "I can just say that everything was just ok. The menu needs to be more descriptive of the ingredients to avoid "surprises". The sausage on the small plate menu was actually a huge portion that could have been fine as an entree. The only bread served was corn bread that crumbles with the attempt to dip in the olive oil…when we asked for a different kind of bread we were told that none was available….then we asked the manager and she finally admitted that they had ciabatta. The espresso is really really bad."

  • "We tried this for brunch for a birthday. Food was great, though the buffet is a little expensive ($20+). When we arrived we didn't even have to say we had a reservation, the host was great, met us at the door, asked about the birthday, and said the table was just about ready. It was a perfect start. Unfortunately the service was downhill from there. Our server was overworked and not skilled. We rarely got coffee refilled an basic requests took a LONG time if they came at all. We never got our ketchup. The restaurant is great and has great potential. And the meal started awesome, but the service was terrible. We'd go back, but service needs to be better."

  • "This is the second time that I've been rushed at this restaurant. They brought the main course while two of us were in the middle of eating our soups. They literally took my soup away when it was still half full and I had the spoon in my hand. We were in the middle of a business meeting so I didn't want to make a scene. The last two times I've come to this restaurant, I've felt like they were just trying to move you along as fast as possible. Not good for a fine dining restaurant."

  • "Our server seemed a bit rushed in taking our order, perhaps he was off the clock in an hour. The complimentary biscuits brought to the table looked delicious, but were ice cold (could have used them as pucks at the nearby skating rink). Also stated they were to be served with apple butter, but we were informed (after our attempted bites) that they no longer have it... maybe it should be removed from the menu. Food came out lukewarm. Not the best meal, but thankfully good friends make great company. Sorry, but I would not return."

  • "The clam chowder is in a delicious tomato-based broth with generous chunks of clam and veggies. After seeing a picture of the monkfish on the Internet -- Yikes! -- I had to try it. As you would guess from its hanging around on the ocean floor, it had a muddy catfish taste. It was a touch overcooked in some unidentifiably subtle root vegetables (butternut squash and turnip) and mushrooms, cooked to an al dente (not quite chewy) texture. Earthy, but bland. I almost asked for hot sauce. You'll be hard-pressed to find a white wine on the list that compliments that fish. Mine was the Barboursville and it was much too fruity to pair with this earthy fish."

  • "I've dined here for both dinner and brunch. Dinner service is much more adept and menu offerings are significantly more attractive and well thought-out. Weekend brunch is disorganized, service lacks, and menu items are sparse. Supposedly there's a buffet, but it strangely ends at 11:00 on Sunday. There is a "weekend brunch" menu available from 11-3 on weekends, but the breakfast-specific offerings are few. One omelette, one scramble, one Benedict, one variety of pancakes, and one French toast offering. Coffee tasted old/burnt, but server kept telling me it was "strong coffee." Service was hard to come by; water and coffee refills were few and far between, even though restaurant wasn't too busy."

  • "This dinner was to celebrate our anniversary and recent engagement. We were asked on arrival if we were celebrating anything, and we let them know. We had a nice dinner, with food that we liked very much. I tried a couple of their cocktails that use local spirits and found them good, and refreshingly different from the norm. At the end, we were surprised with dessert and champagne which was an extremely nice and unexpected touch. We would most likely try the place again."

  • "I took a date here and we had a great time. The staff was able to strike the perfect balance of attentiveness and privacy. The food here was a amazing and locally sourced (yay!) I had an amazing french cut roast pork chop and my date had a steak she thoroughly enjoyed. The bottle of wine wasn't too over-priced (it's wine in a restaurant, they're are all overpriced to an extent) It's a shame this place is in Herdon 15 miles away or i'd be a regular."

  • "Small menu, everything looked good. Everything is sourced locally. My date and I both had the strip steaks, cooked perfectly (and from a farm in PA). The mushroom ragout with it was absolutely fantastic. A friend dined there later that evening and had the Rockfish (MD sourced) and she loved it. Reminded me of a Great American Restaurant a lot. Went there early so it was not busy and quiet. Will definitely check it out again. Server was a bit inattentive, but they had just opened for dinner and that was to be expected (saw them having a shift meeting in the kitchen). A very friendly manager did come by and check on us though and most of the staff seemed upbeat and friendly."

  • "I totally agree with the previous review about New Years Eve. We booked a week in advance since we know New Years Eve is tough to book the day of. At no time were we told that it was a price fixed menu nor did the website indicate it. They even called and confirmed and no mention was ever made that it was a $78 price fixed menu. We spoke to Amber, the manager, who clearly could care less and we left. While we would not have stayed at Tavern 64 that evening, if Amber had been friendly and offered a gift card to come back and try the restaurant at another time, we may have considered returning. Based on her response and uncaring attitude, you won't see us ever step foot in the restaurant again. So sad with such a prime location!"
