The bartender served us quickly and appeared to genuinely be interested in her job! There won't likely be a James Beard Award presented to Tavern 29 but the place rocks. Comfort food prepared well, lots of flavor and neighborhood ambience means we will return. Kind of an upscale pub, but not expensive. Friendly, attentive service. If your a beer person, they have over a dozen different beers and ales on tap. Located in a historic building with lots of vintage pics of New York, this place has a great feel and food to match. Try their outstanding specialty burgers or the organic chicken dish. The soups are also very interesting.
Recently held a group event there with about 20 people, and everyone loved it !
